Came here for a Sunday dinner and it wasn't busy and service was pretty fast and consistent especially with the tea refill. The shrimp and bbq fried rice is my favorite and would come back for that. The noodles were okay, it was thin noodles so it was kind of crispy. The Mongolian beef was good but spicy!! The dim sums were good too and pretty filling to just get the dim sums and fried rice. While everyone says Richmond is where to get the best Chinese food, I just happened to be in Langley that day. My friend and I found Luxe Chinese Seafood as the highest rated dim sum restaurant in the area. It's located in a strip mall setting. When I got to the restaurant, it was a smaller space but looked upscale. I ordered takeout (there's a discount for paying in cash). My order included har gow shrimp dumpling, siu mai, egg tarts, shrimp rice noodles. Har gow - 10/10. Included 4 large pieces. The dumpling was flavorful and soft. I love when the skin is on the thinner side too. Siu mai - 10/10. 4 large pieces and generously topped with roe. Also flavorful and enjoyed each bite. Egg tarts - 8/10. Pretty good and smooth custard filling. Shrimp rice rolls - 7/10. Standard rice noodles just like most places. I wish I had stayed in Canada longer to try more dishes. I appreciate that Luxe is a convenient and quality option 30 minutes from the Canadian border. read more

Luxe has been a fixture in the Langley cuisine world for quite a few years, and has carved out a great reputation for its Dim Sum. We've been there a number of times, with friends, and family, and it seemed right to introduce the place to my Cousin and her life partner. The place hasn't changed much over the past few years inside, but the vibe is always buzzing. The Dim Sum offering is varied, tasty and well priced compared to similar places closer to downtown Vancouver. The service is somewhat typical in the fact that you almost have to chase them to order what you want. They sort of leave you alone until you grab someone and let them know you're ready to order. I kind of akin it to getting your bill in Italy, they won't bring it to you, you have to ask for it. We've been here before, and although it's not a regular experience for us, it is a nice change for a different brunch experience. Nice dimsum joint for the willowbrook area. I find they are on the higher price of things but the quality was good and we had no complaints with service and seating. I'd encourage you to make a reservation because it can get quite busy. They don't have cart service but servers will come out to offer some items. They have an online menu with pictures so if you are nervous to order then it is the perfect menu to point and choose! They also charge for tea per head. read more

I have been going to this restaurant for years because their dim sum is some of the best you can find outside Vancouver. They still push the carts around, which is rare now, and the quality stays consistent. The sticky rice is tasty, prawn dumplings with scallops (har gow) are my favourite, pork dumplings (siu mai) and garlic prawn spring rolls have lots of flavour, and the salt and pepper squid is lightly fried and not greasy. Spare ribs in black bean sauce is another fav. Everything tastes fresh and comes out hot. Their main menu is also reliable. Hard to find dim sum out this way, which is why I keep going back. read more

One of those places that you have been to for ages and never get around to write a review! Here goes; binging in the Township of Langley, BC, Luxe has been a well established more proper Chinese Restaurant in the area, with Dim Sum being served for lunch, dinner with mainly Cantonese Dishes, Seafood, BBQs and other authentic entres. This restaurants is great for family gatherings and also birthday parties etc. The reason we come here is because we wanted a change of scenery once in a while from the regular Richmond Dim Sum places that are all so famous for. With a smaller Asian community in Langley, it is good to see that Luxe is able to survive after all these years, and as you can see from my photos, all the dim sum dishes are very well prepared and they are all made to order, btw, they also have dim sum carts that goes around for you to pick your fav. dishes! First time visiting Langley and found this delicious place serving yummy Cantonese style food that's right across the street from the Willowbrook Mall. The food is yummy. The BBQ pork is on a softer side which my 6 year old enjoys more than the dried burned ones. It's a cozy place that's clean and has a nice decor. Service was good and responsive. Stop 1 - Luxe Chinese Seafood Restaurant Langley, BC January 9, 2021 The first restaurant on our 26 of 2021 tour was the Lux Chinese Seafood Restaurant in Langley. We went with the dim sum menu and ordered a variety of dishes and I have to say we were not disappointed. Everything was so delicious. We were served hot tea as soon as we sat down. The staff was efficient working together like a well oiled machine and they all wore masks to comply with the Covid protocols. Items arrived quickly and were well presented. Our order consisted of the Deep Fried Shrimp Egg rolls, Steamed Sticky Mini Rice Rolls, Steamed Prawn Dumplings, Steamed Pork Dumplings, Beef Short Ribs with Black Pepper, Steamed Beef Balls with Cilantro and Steamed Rice Rolls with BBQ Pork. We never knew that steamed food could taste this marvelous. If this was a competition of food items though we would have to say our favorite overall was the crunchy, not greasy, perfect Deep Fried Shrimp Egg Rolls. They alone would make you want to come back again and again. A close second would be the Steamed Rice Rolls with BBQ Sauce. (We would love to know how to make that sauce.) At some point we will have to revisit this restaurant and try out different items on their extensive Dim Sum Menu. Our first stop the Luxe gets 5 stars out of 5. read more

One of the best Chinese restaurants in the lower mainland. I come here all the time for dim sum. The portions are great and tastes even better, plus I don't have to drive across the bridge for good dim sum. They serve dim sum daily from 10am-3pm and have carts where you can pick what you want which I'm sure everyone loves. Their staff are always so friendly and attentive and on the ball. Weekends are crazy and no reservations are allowed so be sure to get up bright and early if you want to skip the line. It's honestly worth the wait though. I've also been here a few times for their dinner menu and the dishes are still fantastic. If you order Peking duck, they carve the whole duck in front of you, it's amazing ! Asked for shumai dumplings 7 times (asking real nice too) the 45 minutes sitting down to at least 6 different cart hawkers. The cart with shumai rolls out, of course it's gone by the time it comes to our table. We had enough and flag the manager. The manager got it for us under 5 minutes! None of the cart hags bothered ask the kitchen on their rounds, just answer "it's coming". Beef was greasy and under seasoned, fried squid was cold and soggy, only thing hot was the egg tarts. Overpriced garbage with lazy staff with attitude problems. Nothing luxe about it except the luxe of dissatisfaction. read more

Awful customer service. We ordered food on Father's Day. Although the kitchen was closed until 5 pm, we were told we could place our order at 4:30 pm to be picked up at 5:30 pm. We arrived before 5:30 pm but waited until the slated time to inquire about our order. We observed several people come and go for pick up. Several people came in after us, DINED and left before we got our food. We were still waiting for our order. We followed up with staff several times on the status of our order but we were told to continue waiting. There was no explanation for the delay. We didn't get our food until 6:30 pm - an hour after the stated time and two hours after we placed our order. The staff were not apologetic. At all. They never took the initiative to check in on us. We had to check in with them three times and they were still unable to give us an accurate estimated time of completion. This is unacceptable customer service on any day but was especially bad on Father's Day. Would not recommend. read more

Dim sum, overpriced, service poor. Very busy Father's Day, very disorganized. All had reservations for 3 seatings. Our seating was for 12:00, seated at 12:30. No menu. Sat for 10 minutes waiting for Dim Sum carts, no server came, when we asked about carts, told we had to order from the menu. Were then handed a card with QR code. Service/food extremely slow. Asked for water, came with not enough glasses. Didn't receive all our food, but told we had. Finally asked for bill - everyone at table charged for tea (including small children), take out containers $.50 each, food exorbitantly overpriced. I had the opportunity to dine here during a large family get together. We occupied two tables. One table ordered a set menu at $218 dollars. The set menus were all in Chinese and catered to only people literate at reading the menu. I would think that since this restaurant is in Langley that there would be an English translation in the year 2017. This makes some of the Richmond restaurants ahead in the menu game. Anyways, the table I was in ordered a la carte off the English menu. Prices are on par with most restaurants. Portion size is small compared to Burnaby or Vancouver. Service was alright. Hot water was refilled, and plates cleared. Why did this place lose more stars after the Chinese only menu? The fried rice was too salty. Portion size is small. Then they served a dead crab on the other table. I do not think that was the best move by a restaurant to serve bad seafood to a whole table of people who eat seafood regularly. Also, some of the people at the table work in the Chinese restaurant industry. The dead crab was brought up to the attention of a server and it was removed from the bill. Good service on the restaurant's part. I did get a chance to look at the seafood tanks. There was a bin of prawns all lying sideways and looked either most likely dead or possibly all molting their shells at the same time. Excuse me for the blurry photo as I took it so quickly. Heard from a friend that this is dim sum worth driving across cities for. Indeed, the place was packed and had 4 parties waiting when my party of 6 arrived around 1pm on a Sunday. Thankfully, the turnover was pretty quick and the wait less than 10min. The carts came around super quick -- fantastic for hungry customers like us. Not everything was readily available though -- we had to ask about chicken feet & spring rolls after not seeing any on the various carts, and the spicy fried chicken we asked for didn't come until we were ready for dessert. The food tasted great. I especially recommend the lotus-filled sesame balls, chicken feet, and lychee jello. I wouldn't get the tripe again though. We ran into an issue with the siu mai not being fully cooked, but a server whisked them away (including the ones already on our plates) the moment we brought it up, someone else immediately brought us fresh plates, and we had full orders of hot siu mai replaced. Service overall was impressive for a Chinese place. Unfortunately can't comment on pricing because I didn't get a look at the menu and was treated the meal. I have seriously been craving Dim Sum for a year, every since I moved to BC. I seen Luxe on yelp a while back, but never really tried it... Not sure why, but anyhow. A friend of ours has been telling us about a great Dim Sum place in Langley, and I asked what the name was, and of course they said "Luxe" ! Told the Hubbie a few days ahead we would for sure be making our way to Luxe this Sunday, and finally, we did! It's in a shopping center I wouldn't have pegged it to be in, but it was easy to find. We came in 10 minutes after they opened. They are open from 10:30am to 10 pm EVERYDAY. There were probably 3-4 other tables in use, but you could tell it was a place that gets busy. And if Asians are eating here, it's good! Just as Dim Sum should be, carts of yummy goodness were rolling around and our eyes zoned in on everything. Portions were perfect and the food tasted fresh and higher in quality. Customer service was excellent. All of the ladies were super sweet! 2 of the gentlemen were very kind. One in fact, maybe a manager, gave my little guy some candy (since it was Halloween weekend). I though that was very sweet. After 7 orders, we were stuffed. I expected more out of my stomach, but I couldn't do it! Party of 3 for $35 was not bad, not bad at all.... Definitely my new spot for Dim Sum, can't wait to go back!!!! read more

Our favourite restaurant has since been closed, but Mum and I have thrilled to finally have another place that's as good as we remember. Push cart dim sum here! The food is great but it takes them awhile to push the cart.. they are very slow. I always come here because the food is great and it's close by. Probably make a reservation if you are coming with a big group. The service is pretty slow... but they are usually a full house. They try their best to give good service. WATCH FOR $1 "tea" FEE. These people punch in everything onto the computer without showing you the description of each item. On dim sum receipt it's not in English so who knows what you're paying for. One experience I found that there's a tea fee $1/person. Today I did not want tea but asked for hot water. Upon paying I was charged for $1 per person STILL. I said I didn't get tea today and the lady said " There is still $1 per person." What a scam! If you're going to charge $1 per person as an instant cost, PLUS tip from people, maybe you should specify somewhere and not put it as "tea" on receipt. Will not be returning. read more
