I came here today after going to a different place for a long time. You will need to make an appointment as they only have 2 stations. This place is much much more reasonable and they do a great job. I got the wife Holly and she was very patient and talked to me the whole time. No awkwardness, nothing. The price for a gel take off and gel polish change was $17. Much more reasonable then what I was paying. For a gel manicure it's $27, even more reasonable. No breaking the budget for me anymore! I will for sure be back. read more

Only reason I didn't get five stars is because there is no music on and the massage was a bit bland but overall I had a great experience and everyone was professional. I received a pedicure service and it was just a simple service to maintain and keep everything clean so I didn't get in the art or polish but nothing hurt and didn't seem dirty. The people were extremely friendly and did a very good job for my Mani Peddie! The gentleman that worked on my feet was a bit rough. One of the other issues I had was the décor and the cleanliness of the establishment...They really could use some decorations and clean the cobwebs out of the front windows and at the front desk. So, it matters to me that the experience is a a quality, nurturing, and relaxing one, which it was. Holly, the co-owner is sweet, gentle, and her work is mindful and precise. The nail art she did for me was playful and creative. I especially appreciated her attentiveness to me. She noticed I was reading a book and so she turned off the TV so I could have a more peaceful atmosphere. And when I mentioned I felt chilled in the room, she immediately brought out a space heater. Excellent customer service! Their daughter was so sweet, and checked my meter to ensure I had enough time. She even assisted me by adding more coins in. Had a mani/pedi with gel and definitely satisfied with results. The husband took extra care with my pedi (I usually experience getting nicked or rough treatment), and the wife was amazing with my mani. Will be making this a monthly treat here! I went to this nail place today and my nails look awful. I'm not trying to be mean but I almost want to cry. It probably depends on who does your nails because I haven't heard anything bad about the place. My nails aren't painted fully and I have nail polish marks on my fingertips. read more

My first time here and I loved it! The lady Holly was so sweet and gentle! I got a shellac manicure which was very thorough and ended with a nice massage that left my hands and arms very soft. I recently went here for a gel pedi and a full set of acrylics. Nancy is a sweatheart and did am amazing job on my pedi as well as making me feel at home. This is deffinitly my new nail salon. The owners Holly and Henry are super friendly. I have gone in several times and the service has been consistent. Holly is always great about fitting me in. I have brought her a few images to give her and idea of what I'm after. She is such a good sport. One time during a pedicure, she looked at the clock and asked if I put money in the parking meter (since they start at 9am). I didn't so she ran out and feed the meter for me. If this isn't great service, I don't know what is ;). I will definitely be back! read more

I'm looking for a new nail salon in Martinez for my twice a month mani/pedi. I saw 'Dragon Nails' and decided to give it a try. The actual nail workmanship was good, but the message was mediocre, the nail polish color selection was poor, and the message chair was way too short for me (I'm 5'8). Also, the shop interior is shabby- not in a cute way. All in all, I'm sure I can do better somewhere else. read more

I got a pedicure in mid August and the polish has held up until now. It was not gel or shellac either! There was care in what this husband and wife team did! I thank them for the great massage because it was the best! My only complaint is that it was a super hot summer day and they have no air conditioning it's just a fan so it was uncomfortably hot. Located in the heart of downtown Martinez, this little nail shop was great in my opinion. It is small and nothing fancy. Two people work the shop. It was clean and cute. It has two pedicure chairs and two nail stations. I requested a shellac manicure with French tips. I told her I prefer a more natural look so she recommended a shellac tip color other than white which had a slight pink undertone to enhance a more natural looking nail tip. It was great. She took her time and was methodical about doing a good job on the manicure portion of my service. She used sterile tools of which she opened the packaging in front of me. The hand massage was nice too. I paid $28 for the manicure and shellac and added a tip. The only downside was finding a place to park in downtown Martinez as parking on the street is metered. I would call in advance because it's a small shop. (I called for an appointment and she was able to get me in within 15 minutes of my call.) I will definitely go back to try their pedicures. read more

Best nail place I've been to in the area. I usually get a shellac mani & pedi, and they do a great job! The shellac pedi lasts forever until my nails grow out too long after about a month and I need to trim them and change color. Shellac mani lasts about 2 weeks before my nails start growing out and the gel starts to lift up. $50 for both. Today I got pink and white acrylics and a shellac pedi. $75 for both. There are only 2 people, a guy and a girl. I've had both and I would go with the girl. The guy does a good job but he's very slow. I was there for 2.5 hours today. It's cool that they sell flip flops so if you didn't bring any you don't have to wear those horrid paper ones. Side note: The nail guy cut me on accident. He cut too far into my cuticle and it started bleeding. Not a huge deal but it stung for like 15 minutes. This is my go to place in the area, my #1 place is a little far from home- Versailles Nails in Berkeley. read more

I was in Martinez and rather than sit in traffic decided to get my nails done. Two women were working. Very very nice however I had to finally ask if she even had a license to do nails. She couldn't do glitter tips so I said just do French couldn't even manage that. I have 2 nails on my left hand that are so crooked they are pointing at my right hand! I wanted to cry. This is all after at 5 pm she told me 15 minutes then two ladies showed up she told me 20 minutes after they got there that she had to do them first to come back at 5:45 she will take care of me. At 8 pm I left with a decent pedicure and in painted crooked nails that I have to figure out to fix in between work tomorrow and my party on Saturday:-( She didn't charge me for the nails and I tipped her because she was very nice and tried, but she just does not know how to do nails. read more

Decided to try this place based on the good reviews. I'm glad I did. I had been going to the same lady (Tina at Nails 2002 for 10+ years & she left there last year). I've had a difficult time finding someone new but I think I have. I had a pedicure & a Gelish polish change. Jennifer did an awesome job on my pedicure. Clean autoclaved tools. New file, buffer, & callus scrubber out of the package. No cut or bleeding cuticles. I seem to have an issue will this other places. The other lady in there (not sure of her name) soaked my old polish off while I got my pedicure. I felt so bad because I got my pedicure & she was still soaking & scraping when I was done due to the fact that the place I went before did such a bad job they applied 3 clear coats trying to get them to look decent. Jennifer did a great job on my Gelish polish. I will definitely be going back. The prices are reasonable. They didn't charge extra for soaking off the old polish even though it took an hour. read more

This is the worst place I've ever been to I kept giving chances and trying to forgive their mistakes and rude services. I've been here about 4 times. Every time I go they don't even say hi or acknowledge that I walked in until a customer tells them. What kind of service is that?they always change their prices on you. I literally get the samething every time. Gel pedi n mani it was first $60 then $68 then $75 then I went there just two days ago and I was charged $86 for a gel pedi and mani. A over lay and gel fill not even a whole new set but fill n they charged me $40. That's crazy. Then she didn't do my nails how I wanted and it was just a solid color with falling glitter. Seriously so simple and she still couldn't do it. Trying to tell me what is better for me. I go there to pay for wat I want not wat u want for me. What makes me more upset I asked for another coat of polish because I felt it was watery n see through. She didn't do it she just put the clear coat , now two days later my gel nails just peeled off my nail like a sticker. That's just ridiculous! Never going here again! Spend your money else where if you want good service ,lasting nails, and your money's worth. read more
