We wish we had him for our first inspection when we were buying the house. His price was very reasonable; especially after getting some outrageously expensive quotes and some questionably low "11 month quotes" from other inspectors only to find out that they don't have to abide by the same new home purchase inspection standards set by the TREC. We were given a long report with pictures and recommendations which we submitted to our builder for warranty repair. Paul cut no corners and we plan on referring him to our neighbors who needs the first inspection and/or their 11 month.

He approached his job as if he was inspecting his very own house. He was extremely hard working and did not ignore even a single detail. This is a newly built house by a very reputable home builder; however, he was successful in pointing out several items that need to be tweaked, so to speak. I will use the analogy of a great spell-checker to describe what he brings to the table. Also, his fee is very reasonable. I can promise you that you will not regret entrusting your home inspection to him!

Our experience with Green Scene Home Inspections was extremely concerning. The company's owner came…read moreto our home after a major appliance listed in their report was called into question. During that visit, he made unprompted remarks about my personal life that had nothing to do with the inspection. When I told him that his behavior felt intimidating, he responded that he had researched me on the "deep dark web." We then asked that our interactions remain strictly professional and limited to inspection-related matters, but he declined to agree to that boundary. The encounter left us feeling unsafe and deeply uncomfortable. We have since filed a formal complaint with the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC) regarding this incident. It is our personal recommendation to stay very far from this company. Homeowners deserve respect, professionalism, and basic privacy when inviting someone into their home.

His initial assessment was there are a few minor issues, but they can be addressed by a handyman. Once we moved in, we noticed much more than what a handyman would be able to repair. We brought up our concerns and he was immediately denying any accountability as things can change in a matter of a few months. What did we have wrong upon purchase? One water heater started to leak and then the next one stopped working. Both had to be replaced ($4,500). HVAC unit 1 stopped working in July and then the next HVAC unit stopped a month later ($15,200). 7 gas leaks were found inside & outside our home ($4,275). Our Sub-Zero had a freon leak and our Miele appliances stopped working (multiple visits to address by specialist techs $2,400). We had foundation issues which we started to noticed within 2 months of living there as doors that previous didn't close could close and doors that did close were no longer able to close. That was due to a rotted cast iron sewer line (total cost to date is $63,000). And nearly everything has been replaced on our pool in regards to equipment except the filter (pool heater, pool pump, pool sweep, and electrical). He is professional at the time, but this was extremely infuriating when you purchase a home and then have all these unexpected expenses because of a poor inspector.

She probably has some kind of deal worked out with him to give her kick-backs or something... This guy did a terrible job on our inspection. I was planning to be there through the whole process, but unfortunately got called to an important meeting at work so I had to leave halfway through. He did not inspect the appliances at all but signed off that everything "appeared to be in order". When we moved into the house less than 2 weeks later the fridge/freezer was covering everything in ice and "snow", and one of the AC units did not work at all! We had to spend several hundred dollars in repairs to our house right away because this guy did not do a thorough job on the inspection.

We had our inspection done with Mike Tower from GreenWork, and we were very satisfied with the…read moreservice Mike provided. From start to finish, Mike went above and beyond for our family. Mike began by carefully listening to all our concerns -- from systemic roof leaks and water intrusion to workmanship issues -- and made sure he understood the full picture before starting. During the inspection, he was incredibly meticulous, documenting every defect both big and small with detailed photos and clear notes. He even helped us find out the potential root cause for some of the more difficult issues we had been having with the house i.e. the sporadic roof leaks. What stood out most was his deep expertise. With over 20 years in the trade, Mike knows construction process inside and out, and what builders should or shouldn't do as best practices. He also has specialized experience in mold remediation and plumbing issues, which gave us confidence given our past water problems. Mike is an excellent communicator and very patient. He explained how things are supposed to work, advised us on how repairs should be handled, and even warned us of pitfalls to avoid when dealing with builders or contractors. He also shared best practices we never would have thought about, helping us prevent long-term issues. On top of that, Mike was extremely respectful and friendly with the entire family -- even our pets took to him right away. After spending the better part of the day thoroughly inspecting our home, he delivered a comprehensive, well-organized report the very same evening. Thanks to his documentation, we now have a strong record of our concerns to present to the builder. Simply put, Mike sets the standard for what a home inspector should be: professional, knowledgeable, thorough, and personable. We would hand-pick him again without hesitation for any future inspections. Highly recommended.
