Excellent Charter! Amazing trip with an enthusiastic and knowledgeable captain! We got to catch our own bait, and we each caught a fish (4), and we got to bring 2 filleted stripers home! Fantastic day on the water. Tons of humpback whales and minke whales breaching. Lots of striped bass and was even throwing back keepers. Mike is knowledgeable and got us on the fish quickly. Great fishing , captain and boat. If your looking to really fish , and our experienced or not, and don't want to just troll around pulling on a rod for 3 hours this is the boat to go on . Had a trip booked with Mike on the dragon fly this past week. Weather forcast wasn't too good -25 mph out of the SW gusts to 30, with incoming tide , most guys would have called it but Mike knew where to go and had the boat to do it . Kept myself and three family members dry and comfortable all the way out, and all day. Boat has all the latest electrocis, top of the line van staal reels, custom features and hull desig.making for a smooth ride and great fish ability. I am a very experianced boater and fisherman and mike discussed some options before we even got out and let us decide on what we wanted to fish for and how we wanted to fish , which is not common . Once we got ouf Mike jumped up in his custom fly bridge and found bait right away, was constant action the whole trip, casting plugs and artificals to bass and blues, snaggong amd droping , and a little of trolling between mobes. Two of the people on board never even have been fishing and both had hook ups on top water and had a great time. Mike took the time to show them how to cast, work the rigs, and get fish into the boat , while my wife and I fished up on the bow . Mike and the dragon fly is the boat you want to go on it your looking for a true fishing trip, with someone who knows the water , has the right equipment. A real fisherman taking people fishing not a charter Captain running another trip, saving gas and using cheap equipment and cheap bait or lures. Will definitely be going back and would recommend him to anyone staying up on the cape. read more

10 out of 10...Truly a once in a lifetime experience. Not only was it amazing seeing 6-7 great white sharks all 14 - 16 feet long but Captain Mike and Norman made the experience perfect. We booked the trip 2 months before going and Captain Mike stayed in constant communication with us the whole time updating us on how many sharks he was seeing and the weather. We were supposed to go on our excursion on a Wednesday and Captain Mike called us explaining that due to the weather the better day was Tuesday and from the beginning stated that if the weather wasn't good that we wouldn't go out and didn't have to pay for anything...very glad the weather was great though! Norman (the spotter plane pilot) was great at communicating with Captain Mike about where the sharks were where to go and would keep communicating about their every move until we saw and got to spend time viewing these magnificent animals. Captain Mike also made sure that we felt safe the entire time which is very important all the time but especially while around Great Whites! Captain Mike was also very personable, it felt like we were taking a fishing trip with a friend. We are looking forward to doing this again! read more

Booked Captain Mike's Dragonfly Family Trip based on a review I read on TripAdvisor; it was a fantastic trip! I booked the early morning (5am) trip because when I called to book, Mike had told me that that hour of the day is most calm for the ocean. Given the fact that my kids are ages 4, 6, and 8 - that made the most sense to me. We headed out on the water on time and saw large families of seals, finback whales, and minke whales. Then it was time to start fishing! We caught mackerel and were fortunate enough to catch a striped bass that my oldest child helped reel in! Having done this his whole life and growing up near the Cape, Captain Mike is a wealth of knowledge about the ocean, marine life, and fishing. Note: my youngest, the 4 year old, was getting a bit antsy on the trip and I needed to sit with her much of the time to distract and/or console her (just meaning that a 4-year-old may be a bit young for this particular trip). read more

We've been on about five trips with Capt. Mike Bosley on Dragonfly and every single time we come home with fish in the cooler. As a charter captain, Mike is the best. He's very safety conscious, knows the local waters, has lots of great stories and is just fun to be around. Beyond putting us on stripers, when out with Mike we've seen humpbacks, seals, dolphins and lots of other wildlife. Also, no two trips have been the same since he always seems to find a new wrinkle to fishing technique or has something new to show us. I have fished with Capt. Mike for years now and quite honestly there is no one else I would ever consider. I have had my son, my brother, my son-in-law and daughter-in law along at different times. They all have different levels of fishing ability and Capt. Mike is always there to teach, to help out, and always have a great time..Always.. I have been fishing for years and always learn something new. And if your worried about catching fish with Capt. Mike you should be more worried about whether your arms can handle hooking up with those big boys..He is always on the fish..lots of them and lots of the big ones. My husband and I went out with Capt. Mike for a 530am fishing trip on August 27th. We had an absolutely amazing time! Capt. Mike was easy to find a great with communicating with us ahead of time. We had a gorgeous morning and saw whales and seals on our way out to catch bait. Bait catching was super fun and it was even more rewarding to catch larger fish with the smaller fish you caught earlier! Once we had enough bait we found some fish schooling and caught our limit quickly!! Capt. Mike was great with baiting the hooks, showing us how to use the equipment and getting these huge fish off of the line so we could take pictures and videos. It is nice to be with a captain who calls the other guides to let them know where the fish our :). At the end of our session he filleted all the fish for us to take home fresh in freezer bags which were an awesome plus. Would highly recommend Dragonfly sport fishing and we hope to go again! read more
