Cabelas has nothing on this place. Ian set me and my daughter up with outstanding gear and pro tips that put us on the fish in only an hour. We took the lures that Ian sold us and went to the place he pointed out and slammed 22 frigging stripers. Thank you Ian and Goose Hummock for making my trip to the Cape a most memorable one with my beautiful daughter. Much Love to Diesel the store mascot

Best bait and tackle shop in Cape Cod hands down. Whenever I'm in the area I twist my ankles running to this shop. They have literally everything you want! Cheap gear if you're in a pinch, top of the line supplies, and two whole floors of it! The best part about this place is they don't just restrict themselves to the store. My wife and I go to fishing expos often and we always see these guys there in a big and elaborate set up. The staff is also top notch and every single time I've been there, they can't wait to talk fishing and offer plenty of advice and recommendations. This is one of those businesses that is ran so articulately in every aspect and I hope they open up some locations closer to my house for sure!

Gorgeous view. You get to see lots of Cape Cod style houses by the water.

Great place for renting a kayak. $45 / 4 hours for a tandem. It is located right by the canal. That means no transporting the kayak from point A to point B unless you are looking to kayak elsewhere. They do not really offer a dry bag so just be prepared. I stuck my camera inside the life jacket and there wasn't any issues. I am not sure what terminology to use for the places we kayaked at. But check out my picture to get a feel of what views you get while paddling out before entering the marsh. They do not reserve kayaks as they have plenty of it. Just call ahead before heading over or stop by to try your luck. We were there right before the start of the paddling season so it was easy to get a kayak right on the spot.

Unskilled staff with even less knowledge. They know how to talk a game in order to make a sale on overpriced gear. Typical vacationer ripoff

Staff were not wearing masks, even when they were actively helping me at the register. Seemed to think it was a joke.

I really, really used to like this store, spent thousands for hiking gear there over the last 10…read moreyears. However, I saw print, online and outside the store advertising for a 70% off sale, and went in. Not a single item was as advertised. Nothing at all for the advertised sale prices, a few, very few 30% off sale items, but nothing else. The manager had no reason why, seemed flustered by the question and quickly went outside to take the big sign by the road down. He said he had no idea there was nothing on sale. Great manager. Another employee suggested they had sent back all the other stuff that would have actually been on sale, which made no sense at all. As I said, used to love EMS, but have noticed a big decline in the customer service aspects of the company lately. I will not be going back at all. L.L. Bean will be getting my money from now on.

Given all that good stuff, it seemed odd that they couldn't order the shoe sizes we wanted, that they didn't have on hand, and pick them up in the store... we had to go home, go online to their website, and order them from there to our house. We would have rather just come back to the store to pick them up, but apparently you can only do instore pickup on items that the store already has in stock.

REI is a Co-Op, so join, as it's a win-win for everyone…read more They have a really nice staff; the folks working there are into the outdoors. They like biking, hiking, camping, climbing and etc. they know the lingo, they know their merchandise, and they are always willing to help the customer. Hingham Derby Street Shops... well, parking is plentiful, I do tend to park in the back. Never jammed up back there. If you plan on buying anything, you will want to bring your own bag as the chain is 'bag free'. Prices are very good. Competitive with Amazon.com and better than Cabela's. I used to go to the store in Framingham when I was in metro west, also the store in Reading... I'm not sure if both are still there. Shopping since '96, Co-Op member since '12. No negatives,

They have plenty of sales going on, bicycles standard and electronic assisted, survival gear, clothing from all sorts of brands, boots and hiking gear, camping gear, lanterns, knives, paddles, water shoes, and also have deals on traded in gear.
