Definitely a game store with a ton of chaotic comics in the back room, not taken care of, not organized. Which would be totally fine, if they were moving the comics at prices that reflected the quality in which they're kept, but nope, every issue was looked up online and charged premium. Bad shop. When I travel the states I always support any LCS. Went to buy three comics from this store and had one of the most backwards interactions with who ever was running the store. After asking for a business card to take a photo and support the shop on Instagram he said no to that along with any way to support this shop. To top off the weird, he demanded my last name in order to buy the comics. I've been to over 50 comic stores around the US and never had to state my last name before purchasing comics. I said seriously dude that's not a thing. He said I can't do the transaction with out your last name. I said fine forget it I just won't buy here then. He said that's fine.... My Instagram review will be worse. I have a larger reach and audience on that platform. DR. VOLTS and THE BLACK CAT are far better shops to go to any day of the week. I would suggest not supporting this shop when there are smaller, better, less franchised shops in UT. It sucks to see comic shops with nobody in them. With this place... It's great. Extremely poor customer service. (if you would like to read more please scroll below) It pains me to leave this review because I love and support comic book shops, but my latest experience at this location was extremely poor. I have always believed that a great indicator of excellent customer service was to have the customer leave happier than they arrived, but here I left feeling worse. After asking a few questions to one of the employees and to his credit he was answering them excellently I felt inclined to ask if he was the owner so that I could complement him on an excellent establishment. Instead what I got was a douse of criticisms and lectures on how that particular question irritates him and how I should feel bad for even asking such a question. In my mind, a simple yes or no would have sufficed. Feeling guilty and even ashamed I promptly and politely thanked him for his time and left. Once again I don't like leaving negative reviews but I hope that this employee learns that if he wants to have customers maybe he shouldn't take his personal issues out on them. read more

Bought some sleeves that they said would fit. They didn't, which was fine. Before I bought them though, they had promised I could return them if they didn't fit. Only gave a 75% refund (30 minutes after purchase) since they were opened. Unfortunately, I'll be buying online from now on. read more

Great board game/comic store with plenty of room for people to play games. I didn't realize they had a whole downstairs open to players. My brother needed to play a round of Star Wars Imperial Assault for a school class, and I had been wanting to try it out, so I came down and played it with him and a few other people. We went downstairs and had a nice big table and chairs available to us. It was nice to have space to play where it was nice and quiet and we could all easily hear each other. You can bring your own games to play or also borrow a game from their game library to play. It's a good idea and obviously brings in potential customers. After playing the game I felt like I should probably buy something to support the store that had let us use their room for 2 hours. I ended up picking up a Spider-man dice master set as well as some boosters. Prices on these items were good, slightly above Amazon. Buying small items is never an issue and usually worth the price. The issue at small local stores like these is the price on larger items. Star Wars Imperial Assault was $99 + tax here. I can get it on Amazon for $60. I know, I know, we need to support local businesses and all that, but for a $40 price difference I have to go to Amazon on things like this. I'll buy the expansions from my local shop. They've got a good amount of tournaments and game nights going on, definitely worth checking out if you're in the area and like playing games. read more

This is not really a comic book store. It is more of a gaming store with comics. It does have quite s few but I think most people come for the games not the comics. Expect s lot of people playing magic. That seems to be the staple. However they do rotate through a number of other games. They carry a good supply of minatures and a great supply of paints. Lots of DnD stuff and lots of cards. The people that work here are friendly. I have been Goin to the store since the 80s when the comic store and regular store were separate. It was also across the street and down the block. Owners have changed during those years. At times this was mostly a comic shop other times a game store. I would say it is mostly a game store now. Pros: variety of games, lots of minatures and paints, helpful staff. Cons: getting old could use an expensive overhaul in a few years. read more

Customer service was pretty terrible. A friend and I were invited to paint night a week previous. We then went to paint night and sat with the people who had invited us near the register. The Cashier (a blonde or light brown haired male with a long pony tail) came up to my friend and me and told us that we needed to sit in the back area to paint instead while ignoring his own friend and wife and allowing them to stay. He told us that the owner wants the front area kept clear because there was going to be a "rush". Now, being asked to go to the back would not have been bothersome if the cashier had just told us that he wanted to sit with his friends who were coming later. Whatever. The fact that he felt the need to lie to us in the name of the owner is the most bothersome part. And the "rush" consisted of about 4 people spaced over 45 minutes. Needless to say, never coming back and warning everyone else I know against going to any Dragon's Keep. read more

I want to say the positive things about this place: 1. They have Star Wars: Armada in stock 2. If you like magic, this is THE place to be 3. Pretty nice, knowledgeable staff (for the most part at least) 4. They recently expanded the size of their store and that's wonderful. 5. Great selection Some things that are a major turn off for this place: 1. One of the workers has been there for a really long time and he just doesn't seem to care much about helping people. I don't know his name, but he puts off the impression that you're stupid for asking a question and that he is SOOO busy and gets right back to what he's doing. The store can use all the friendly people they can get. This person seems to work there the most and is the LEAST helpful. Not okay. 2. They don't really cater to anyone but magic players as far as tournaments and such go. Kind of a huge drag and makes me want to take my business elsewhere. If they had more Pokémon/Yugioh/x-wing or other kinds of tournaments, I'd be going here all the time. 3. Store is extremely cluttered and unorganized and looks dirty. I know these guys can do better. They've shown time and time again that they can, but haven't. If they want an awesome example of an amazing place to emulate, they should look up Paladins in Bakersfield, CA. Don't recommend this location unless you absolutely have to. The teenage girl behind the counter was visibly upset at me for her having to look up the comics' prices in the catalogue. On top of that I spent a lot of money to be treated badly. Pretty upsetting. These places should be about cultivating community and culture, and we as customers should enjoy our time here. Not feel like we're unwelcome and feel rushed and bothersome. The Orem and Spanish Fork locations are both miles better. read more

I'm a fan of anything nerdy and also keeping me from having a love life. Dragon's Keep makes sure of both of those things. The set up of the Dragon's Keep is odd, but it works for them. Comics stored in rolling shelves and bookshelves are in the back, which keeps me entertained for hours. Gaming dice at the desk, surrounded by anime figurines and a beautiful figurine of Aquaman that is calling my name. Closer to the front is D&D/Pathfinder/Warhammer books, manuals, miniatures, etc. There's also a little Magic: The Gathering station with card covers and boxes and expansion packs. Then, up to the front of the store is board games and a collection of T-shirts that you could wear if you wanted to, like me, proclaim how much you don't go on dates without speaking a single word. They also have tables where various individuals are playing either Magic or D&D or some other game of your choosing. I also believe they have certain nights where they play certain games. Service is always decent. The cashiers are usually there alone with no other help all the times I've gone in but they handle it well and they answer any questions you may have. The Keep is a great place to stop if you've got nerdy needs or you wanna commune with a whole bunch of people like you. read more

These are, like the End Zones, more gaming shops that also happen to have comics. This one could fit probably both of the other 2 stores inside of it, but there is a lot of stray debris strewn around and otherwise wasted space. I suspect there could be a very rewarding treasure trove to be had here, if one was inclined to go exploring, but unfortunately, that would also be the necessity as organization is not a strong suit here. There are comics, kinda sorta in order, but randomly strewn throughout both halves of the shop, which makes tracking stuff down kind of a pain. There are a lot of cool statues and what not as well, though, again, you have to be very observant and look everywhere to find them all. Were this store more organized and easier to digest, it probably would get the bump as there is crazy strong potential here, but as is, this is something one would have to gear up for and is maybe a once or twice yearly stop and then only if you were trying to hunt down some back issues or older books. read more

I love the fact that they are always asking me if there is something they can do to help me in my search. Very friendly staff. I frequent both the Provo and Spanish fork locations. I'm a huge comic book fan and so I would prefer to have the access to the back issues a lot more accurate and accessible but I understand how staffing a small business like this would make that task very difficult. This place is pretty tight. The atmosphere is great and the guys that work their are tight as well so don't be afraid to say hi. They seem to be pretty knowledgable so ask them anything. Nothing better than checking out some comic and games. Yeah prices aren't the cheapest but I don't think they are expensive per se. Its your typical comic book store. Its great for board games and card games. The staff is super friendly and polite. They always have the newest comics in and do a pull list for free. The only problems are the fact that they do charge for the bag and boards but that is okay as they are pretty cheap. That and if you do put something on your pull list make sure to cancel it a month or so in advance because they still charge you if it comes in. So do keep that in mind. But again small problems that otherwise are forgivable. read more

A great comic shop. Definitely the best around. They are particularly good with special orders and holds. Always friendly. Also the shop has a huge selection of board games, comics and your standard fair of miniatures and trading card games as well.
