For over a decade, I've been frequenting this quaint shop as I fell in love with both the location and the owner the very first visit. Jane greets you immediately as you enter the shop and introduces herself. Always amazed that she will remember your name and thank you personally. I've seen her do it this most recent visit and countless others over the years. This small shop has a selection of various items at prices I've not seen matched elsewhere and I have visited a few metaphysical and new age stores recently around the valley. There are some items I always keep stocked at home, and I can always count on them being stocked when I stop in. If you need in bulk, don't hesitate to ask as Jane placed a bulk candle order for me years ago and was so accommodating! Lastly, be sure to check out the angel cards before you do. Dragonstar is incredibly welcoming and pleasant. It's clean and well lit, smells divine, and the classic rock that's always on the radio is the icing on the cake! The store has a great selection of any items one might want or need, and the owner Jane is always willing to seek and order things not carried in the store. The prices are extremely fair. The energy in the store is immaculate and Jane is a wealth of knowledge but never in a pushy manner. I would recommend this store to anyone at any stage in their spiritual journey, but it's an exceptionally safe space for beginners. Been going to Dragonstar since I was a child when my mom would take me. I'm 25 now and have been going by myself for at least 10 years. I live clear on the other side of the valley now, but I will always make the drive when I need more incense, oils, etc. Jane is such a nice woman, so friendly and helpful and thoughtful. Me and my s/o went in here on a Saturday afternoon. Jane immediately introduces her self and I was so pleased with her kindness! She had such a warm vibe about her I was confident in asking her questions! Her shop has lots of beautiful little trinkets and tools for divination, ceremonial practices and gifts. Her prices are SO GOOD. Honestly, fairest in all of the valley. Because who wants to pay $5 for a smudging feather? She sells hers for $1.95! She was very good at answering my questions. She also included my s/o Matt in the conversations, asking him things as well. Just so so kind. When I checked out, she included some matches for the sage I had bought. Very thoughtful:) and as small as a nice thing it is, she hand writes her receipts. Which had a beautiful touch to it. I will definitely be back when I learn more into paganism. I visited Dragonstar Books and Gifts this past week in search of a deck of tarot cards. I had the pleasure of meeting the store owner, Jane. We had a birthday in common, one day apart in May, both Taureans! She had a beautiful selection of cards. I purchased a deck of classic Rider-Waite cards, a small velvet pouch for my crystals and a selenite crystal. The prices are amazing! Much more affordable than other similar shops. You will get more for your money at this store, especially for crystals and stones. She also has a very nice selection of incense, candles, etc. I highly recommend this store if you are search of something for yourself or for gifts for someone else. I love coming to this place, it is a true shame that it is so far out of my way. After my first visit this place quickly become my first stop when I needed those odds and ends that no where else has. Great for gifts or personal collection as well. They have a selection of cards & runes, decent assortment of books as well as jewelry and incense. If I had the money I would love to buy the little statues as well. The owner is always there and always friendly (atleast for me). Just moved to the Mesa area from Tucson.. and was looking for a local pagan shop. I came into DragonStar today and found heaven! My husband and I just moved to Mesa and found this shop. We love going there for our incense and a genuine discussion about the different products within the store. We also love getting the reiki candles for our meditations as well. :) Where we come from (Idaho) we would have to travel 3 hours to find a genuine store like this.
