I've had the worst experience with this company. First technician comes out to work on my bathtub and kitchen sink. He wasn't able to fix my bathtub and he installed a flexible tube on my kitchen sink that broke after a few days. He also left a cigarette bud in my bathroom and made my whole house smell like cigarettes. They were supposed to come out another time to make the repairs they were unable to the first time and said theyd be at my house on a Saturday morning. I called multiple times throughout the day trying to get an update. I wasn't told until 6:45pm that they weren't able to come. So I waited my entire day for nothing. We had an emergency at 7PM Wednesday 1/28/26 with a burst cold water pipe in our kitchen. I was at the hospital with a family member who died that night so my husband called DrainGo. The guy fixed it in less than 1 hour but charged us TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS. Since when do plumbers make $2,000/hour? They 100% screwed us over because they knew we didn't have a choice. My husband isn't a plumber and he was panicking so they took total advantage of us. On top of that, we now have a NEW leak under our sink that was NOT there before. This plumber was sent out by my home warranty provider, 2-10 Home Warranty. The gentleman came out and quickly assessed the issue. Fortunately, there was not a plumbing issue. He provided an explanation that we had considered, but we just wanted to be sure there was not an underlying issue. He was at our home less than 30 minutes. My home warranty company selected Draingo of Alabama to repair an outside hydrant. The plumber came and immediately concl that the problem was an old washer that could not be replaced and that I needed the entire outside system replaced. He stopped the leak but now I cannot turn on the faucet. I had one of my male neighbors try to turn it on with pliers but he couldn't get it on either. I've been waiting for a response and an estimate from this company for two weeks. This company is horrible with little professionalism and horrific customer service. My home warranty company sent them out and they told the warranty company that the reason the pipe was leaking was because it was installed incorrectly so the warranty wasn't going to cover it. I convinced the warranty company to send someone else out. When the new plumber came out, right away he said there wasn't anything wrong with the way it was installed and it would be easy to fix the leak. I do not recommend this company. read more

A worker for Draingo was assigned to us by our home warranty company to come snake our bathroom sink. We paid $100 for their technician to walk into our bathroom (after we had to tell them to put a mask on before entering our house), look at the sink, and put in a request with our home warranty company for a $1000 gut job (which was declined). We got a secondary opinion from another company, who was able to snake it without a problem (and we haven't had any trouble since). We spoke with Phillip Tracy, the owner, about getting our $100 back since his technician didn't do anything, and it was mutually agreed upon that we would simply cancel our check. He did not say anything to us about having a problem with it, and was very apologetic. Fast forward to today, when we received a certified letter in the mail about the cancelled check we MUTUALLY AGREED UPON, and now they're trying to get the same $100 + another $25 out of us. I paid for a one-year home warranty with Choice Home Warranty. I have a tenant in the property and the tenant called me to tell me that there is water coming up from the flooring in the sunroom. Choice Home Warranty contracted the job to Draingo of Alabama and a rep named, Seph, came out and said there is no leak and the water must be coming from a foundation crack, since the water meter was not registering usage. Draingo charged my credit card $76.87 for their service call. A couple days later, I was able to get another plumber to come out and he found a large leak from the hot water line in the kitchen and there is major mold and water damage to a few rooms. Neither Draingo of Alabama or Choice Home Warranty want to take responsibility and even reimburse me for their misdiagnosis service charge of $76.87. I suggest everyone avoid both Draingo and Choice Home Warranty. read more

He claimed it was not on the work order. He only looked at the 2nd floor toilet. This work order clearly shows the guest bathroom toilet as the first one and under "other" the 2nd floor toilet is shown. Today 8/30 I had Draingo of Alabama come to my Home through AHS my warranty home company come fix draining issues, and faucets issues in the master bathroom and the guest bathroom as well as replace the hose in the kitchen sink. 2 Young men Dr. up to my house my car is in the driveway they felt the need to block my car which my daughter had to go to work so they blocked it with their truck. Anyway till young men came in one with a brown hair and tall occasion and the other one call Kasian as well probably a little bit shorter than the tall one with red hair the way they didn't introduce them southside I'm Jack I'm John I'm Jeff nothing so they come in and I said hey so this is what I have I have of four faucets that need to be to be checked because I lost the pressure washer at the pressure wash on the side of the water pressure and also am I need the sinks to be to be clean because and the two bathtubs he comes in he says no I am not doing that I only have orders to do two Fossetts and you have to get another so I said that's ridiculous that you need another order I said that's going to cost me another $80 for you to come out here and he said that's the way that I said no they are saying my warranty company talk to you as it's up to you why can't you just look at the faucet and they wouldn't do it and the guy would repair come to me and said listen just get something full of vinegar and salt these things and you can pretty much fix the problem and I go and I tell the guy why would you do this why would you go and ask for another order it's going to cost me $80 I don't have that money and he would not listen and then he said that I was yelling at him because my voice got louder but not disrespectful I just couldn't believe it, I was not disrespectful I even apologized and he got up and he said I'm done I am done I'm not finishing this job and he walked out and he said have a blessed day. ***DO NOT USE*** Zero Starts - Madison, AL I have had 2 experiences with this company (via American Home Shield home warranty) and both experiences were fraudulent in my opinion. The first was a simple leak on a water heater. The "plumber" who was sent told me that the installation wasn't done correctly (I bought the house new and this was the first time it needed service, and every other house I've been into in our neighborhood has the exact same configuration) and he told me at least a dozen times "I'm a plumber, not a handyman". Then he called AHS warranty and told them that it wasn't installed properly so they refused to cover it. So I paid my $125 deductible to AHS to have these clowns come out and tell AHS that it wasn't installed properly. Then he offered to replace the entire water heater for about $700 but no part of the $125 deductible would be applied. I then called another company on my own and then came out and fixed the leak for $175 total...that was 3 years ago. The second was today and was a clogged drain line. Again, I paid my $125 deductible to AHS and expected someone to come in, clear the drain, and good to go. But wait!! Drain Go proceeds to tell me that he needs to snake from the pipe on top of my single story roof to a pipe that you can reach from a ladder, and the roof access fee is $275 additional and not covered by my home warranty!! Are you freaking kidding me? At that point I decided to fire Drain Go and AHS and will never consider using either of them again. I called a reputable plumber in the area and guess what, they charge $198 and there is no roof access fee or any other surprise/hidden fees. Drain Go and AHS is a total SCAM. Beware. read more

He's very cocky and rude and I believe purposely sabataged any chance that the warranty would pay claiming improper installation and numerous things on a one year old gas water heater that had nothing to do with the control panel that needed to be replaced. He told me that he could order the part which was going to hard to come by and would cost $150 to $180 pluse $120 an hour for labor. guess what. Draingo is a scummy company. we had to have our hot water heater replaced and did so through American Home Shield who got us in touch with DrainGo. A little over a year later and this particular unit leaks and leaks regularly. Through AHS a different company came out and attempted to fix it but it needs to be replaced. This company and AHS thought that Draingo should handle it since the hot water heater came through them. The parts and unit are still under warranty but the labor is not. Draingo wanted to charge $1500 for the labor only. But suddenly they can't get the unit replaced under warranty and they want us purchase a whole new unit and try to recover the cost from the manufacturer of the hot water heater. They are clearly trying to scam us and trying to scam AHS as well by going outside of their contract. BEWARE AND DO NOT USE AND IF YOUR HOME WARRANTY ASSIGNS THEM ASK FOR SOMEONE ELSE! read more

I called Drain Co explained the problem and they came out and fixed the issue in 20 minutes. Stayed to make sure it worked. A 1 star is being generous. With choice warranty they sent a guy out because the garbage disposal wasn't working. Somehow a shot glass was lodged in it. So a foreign object voided the warranty. Before they came out, the plumbing that we just had replaced was working, now it is clogged, and they don't want to take responsibility for it. The technician was rude, condescending, and snippy. I've done everything they asked and they came back out but didn't fix the problem. They said that I had to get a recall from choice to get them to come back out. This company is a joke. It has been nothing but a hassle and the problem they caused, they won't fix it. Choices answer is we have to file a new claim(which means more $ for them) and Draingo doesn't want to take responsibility for something that they caused as a result of "fixing the garage disposal." We haven't even been able to test the garbage disposal yet. And haven't been able to wash dishes for over a week because of someone else's incompetence. Infuriating situation. read more

The leak was not properly repaired. It caused water damage to my floors & carpets & even kitchen cabinets. Manager came out on 6/9 & saw the proof that this happened. I had a restoration company there taking up my floors to dry. All the water damage was visible & that still want enough for the company to take ownership of their lack of ability to get the job done properly. Save your time & your money. Would give no stars but that is not an option. Much like Michael J. mentioned they lied to my home warranty company so that they would deny my claim and they could pocket the $100 service call for themselves without actually fixing anything. I was not at home the day that they came and so I had to speak to them over the phone as they kept trying to accuse my daughter of doing something to cause the leak in several different ways then they tried to say that they have seen "so many of these" where the leak happens one time then never again. They totally dismissed everything that my wife and I were telling them and even showing them as we had kept the soapy water in a bowl that we used to catch the water when it leaked the first time. So after about an hour of running water and trying to get it to leak they left and not even 5-10 minutes after they left it started leaking again. So I called them and they came right back out and then began to investigate for the leak. They had to cut into my wall and 1st floor ceiling in order to get access to the pipes as this was an upstairs bathroom. They wanted to argue with me about repairing the wall and the ceiling that it was not covered by my home warranty. I finally gave up on that because I knew that it was in black and white in my contract with the warranty company so no sense in arguing about it I would just let them deal with them. Then they searched for another 45 minutes or so and said that they could not find the leak. The only thing that they could figure was that it was leaking from the spout of the tub. They said that "the caulk was missing" from around the spout. I said to them well that is awful funny I have never seen caulk around a spout on a tub before and if that was the case then it has been missing for over 2 years now and so why all of a sudden is it leaking now and furthermore how is it that it leaks the worst when the tub is draining (i.e. the soapy water)? They did not know but he said that he tightened the spout and said that I needed to put caulk around the spout. They left while it was still dripping and said "it should stop". Well DUHHH! When there is no water running and it dries up it will but they did not even bother to make sure they had fixed the leak. Well the next day when I got home from work I went straight into troubleshooting for myself. It took me all of 10 seconds to find the leak that was dripping from the drain pipe of the tub. NOWHERE NEAR THE SPOUT. So I called my home warranty company back and told them what I had found and they began to tell me that because the claim was denied that I would basically have to initiate another claim all over again. Needless to say I freaked out on my warranty company a little and told them everything that had happened and how they left while it was still dripping and did not even bother to make sure it was fixed. So they initiated another claim for a second opinion with a different company. With the understanding that if they concur with what Draingo said that the service call is on me. I told them that was fine because it is obvious where it is leaking from and that is nowhere near where they said it was leaking. I would definitely steer clear of this company. Also while the two techs that were out here the one, who was the supervisor, spent most of his time on the phone instead of actually looking at my problem. What is the use of having someone come out if they are going to spend most of their time talking on the phone instead of working on your problem. Hence the reason it only took me 10 sec. to find the leak and I am being generous with 10 seconds it was probably closer to 5. It was so obvious that all you had to do was look. Anyway definitely would not recommend this company as they are rude and argumentative with the customer and don't even want to listen to what you tell them. read more

Scammers not only to me, but others too, They are all around Alabama. The BBB has many complaints also. Lies right to your face thinking you will not investigate the problem after they want you to pay outrageous prices because you have no water for a day. Plus when I opened the door I was real dirty from working on a car all day in 90 degree weather waiting for them, with no water except for the few cases I bought in the morning. Plus they were to be here between 12-5pm but never heard anything until 6:30 and after 5pm the office is closed so no way of finding out when the Yankees will be here or if they will even show up Google Drain Go, DrainGo and you will see I am not the only one they tried to scam after a home warranty company refused to pay because of Drain Go's ignorance, lack of brains and lying right to the warranty company. Drain Go is saying my pipe was physically CUT, (not broken from old age and getting brittle like it actually was) then the warranty company will not cover it. They do that to get more money out of the customers pocket because the warranty company will only pay a little to them for a basic repair like this. The funny part is before they went under the house to look at it, they already said that someone, claiming "I" must of twisted the outdoor spigot and broke the pipe and the insurance is not going to cover it. Then after they did do down there they said the pipe was PHYSICALLY CUT (Their story before was it was twisted at the spigot). Right then and there I knew they were scammers as I never went down there nor has that spigot been used in the 2 years. They tried to show me a useless photo on their tablet saying, See it was physically cut (A clean cut) not that it broke from being brittle. They showed a part that was straight cut looking from the photo but was hard to see it. I stood my ground and said it can't be physically cut because I did not go down there, and I do not have kids, a wife etc. I doubt someone came by and wanted to crawl through my filthy crawl space to the other end of the house and physically cut a plastic pipe at 7 AM in the morning as the water was working at 6ish am! During this back and fourth all I heard was well I can't tell you who did it but it is PHYSICALLY CUT and the insurance will not cover it. I heard this about 50 times during their 30 minutes here. They accused me of cutting a 1/2" Plastic water line under the house WTF. During the latter part of this conversation I was then talking to the warranty company too. But they have to go by the professionals findings. Wait one minute. did I have a professional? They don't understand that a plastic water pipe breaks from getting brittle from old age too. Google it and you can see all the different ways they break. They don't understand that plastic gets brittle after many years. This house is 50 years old or so but at some point plastic pipes were put in. Pipes are probably 20-25 years old. They wanted to get more money than the Home warranty company was willing to pay them for their visit for a simple job and wanted to get it out of the customer. After they lied to the insurance company to get their scam going and the insurance company refused to pay they wanted to charge me around $150.00 to cap it off so the spigot will not work anymore (but the rest of the house will) or charge me roughly $350.00 to fix it the correct way. My cost (service charge) going through the warranty company would of been $75.00. Now if they would of said we can fix it (the correct way) for $150.00 I would of did that in a heartbeat to get it over with as I have a lot of other stuff going on that I needed to get fixed (my car) and don't really like being in the crawl space either. But they wanted double for something that will cost only a few dollars more to fix and a couple more minutes of their time. Literally only $2.00-$3.00 dollars more in parts and 1-3 minutes more of their time. The job took me no longer than 15 minutes to fix it after they left, after I got the parts that costed $3.xx total from Lowes. After they left as I was not going to be scammed by them so I went under the house and looked at it. The pipe was broke, it has jagged edges. Obviously it broke from being brittle not by some physical cutting tool. I went to Lowe's less than 10 minutes away and picked up a 1/2 Coupler, 1/2" pipe, and one 1/2 male to female adapter. I already had the cement and primer. It cost me $3.xx for those items. If someone else had to do it and needed all the parts for a basic repair like this it would be around $10.00 for the parts including cement, Teflon tape and the pipe and fittings. The next morning I sent them a text message with a picture of the jagged edges and they said OK, ITS BROKEN. I don't need your kind of business sir. Wait one minute, my business? Obviously you knew you were not getting my business. Your the one scamming people and got mad when you got caught in the act. read more

Beware if you get assigned this company through American Home Shield. They are obviously in cahoots with AHS such that their mission is to make sure your repair is not covered by the home warranty. They found a broken sewage pipe at my house which literally just had to be replaced with an identical piece of pipe. However, because Drain GO insisted on calling the direct replacement a "modification", it was not covered under the home warranty. I imagine they are very good at manipulating words like that where they know it will cause the repair to fall outside the scope of the warranty. Even though it is an outright lie, you have no recourse to challenge them on it since AHS accepts their lie at face value. I would recommend calling your own plumber rather than spending several days trying to work through these liars and thieves only to have them tell you that you owe money out of pocket because they were allowed to falsely represent the situation to AHS. read more

I had an appointment scheduled between 12-5 on a Tuesday... They call me at about 6pm that night to tell me they are running late and they can try and get me later that night or tomorrow morning... I say tonight doesn't work Let's do tomorrow but I don't want morning I want afternoon. So the next day comes.. I don't hear from them it's 6:30 and I call. and he tells me that he thought I said evening. I said no afternoon, your schedulers even block hours between mornings and afternoon. The original scheduled time was between 12-5 so when I say afternoon that's what I expect. He then tells me how I'm wrong and I told him the evening. He says your house is far away so it will only be my first or last call...... (which by the way I'm like maybe a mile or 2 away.... he assumed that because I have a Hartselle address I live in Hartselle which in fact I live in Flint....) Don't do business here if you can avoid it because they will just give you the run around and can't be honest and punctual.... read more

I just had a great experience with Draingo. Austin and Tyler were the plumbers who were sent to check on the master bathroom toilet that had been leaking around the base when flushed. Austin quickly suspected blockage (wasn't able to clear it with a retriever), so he drained and pulled the toilet, found the issue - a chunk of soap in the line along with a really messy glob of wax from the poor installation of the toilet several months ago - cleared it, put in new bolts to the base where there had been NONE, cleaned up the wax mess, put down new wax, reseated the toilet, then tested it repeatedly to make sure it was working better than it ever had. He was assisted by Tyler who had to make multiple trips down a long run of stairs and then the multiple steps down to the truck on the street. They were both courteous and knowledgeable, plus they thoroughly cleaned up the bathroom floor where they'd been working and hauled off all the trash they had generated. I couldn't be more pleased with the service of these two representing Draingo. read more

I have 2-10 Warranty and DrainGo was the contractor assigned to look at my garbage disposal that was frozen-up. First, the guy who came said he unlocked the disposal then he quickly left. I opened my cabinet doors to place everything back under the sink and saw water leaking. I called him and he returned and then said he would replace the disposal, which he did. Then the next time I used my dishwasher it overflowed. I figured it was probably due to the garbage disposal replacement, but was told to go back to 2-10 warranty and do a service call. I did and due to holidays had to wait until after Christmas (so basically 3 weeks during the busy holiday season and extra cooking, etc., with no dishwasher to use). 2-10 assigned another contractor for the dishwasher who came and quickly found the problem with the incorrect installation of garbage disposal (not removing the plug required when you also have a dishwasher) - For which I had to pay another $75 service fee by the way. I called DrainGo to tell them nicely that they should relay the information to the technician as a "learning experience." The person on the phone sounded very unconcerned, and then when I also said that it was an inconvenience to me as well, the response was something to the effect of, "Oh well, thanks for calling." Really - Not even an apology? In my opinion DrainGo should invest in better training of their technicians and their office staff. Extremely poor customer service. Sad. read more
