Beside the fact that he has amazing energy, and is so incredibly uplifting, he gave me the haircut that I was hoping for, and I could not be happier. I cane her with a Groupon and I must say this salon is amazing. Even though it is a bit small, the service was great and the nails lasted a long time. i got the shellac gel manicure and regular pedicure and my nails have lasted more than 2 weeks with barely any chipping. Drama is my must to go when it's about my hair. Adriana always know what she's doing and threats me like a princess. Mildred, the owner is extremely amazing!!!! Rocio always answer the phone with good attitude and within seconds and has an answer for everything that you may need or want. This place is a game changer! From the minute I walked in I was greeted with the sweetest and friendliest faces and treated like a Princess. I called this salon randomly for a last minute blowout and I walked out feeling like a beautiful model. No joke! I had my hair blow dried & styled with soft waves and I said yes to having my makeup done when it was offered and it was truly the best makeup job anyone has ever done on me. I have passed by multiple times and it's always empty.... I called to see if I could do my nails and they told me they didn't have any appointments... which I understood... I was just in the building and it seemed like a great idea ... I decided to walk in person and ask or see if they had any cancellations. The salon was empty... I was told that available spots would be for Monday or Tuesday... honestly I wasn't in a hurry to get my nails done but to save one from breaking. I asked if she could at least help me save that one nail and she said she couldn't stop, that she had back to back appointments. Even tho she was not rude, I thinks it's horrible customer service, there was only one client getting her nails done and no other client waiting .... I've been to worse places and they have always been able to assist in just a few minutes. She could have easily asked the client if she was ok with her helping me and just put some remedy on my nail without having to delay her work. Now I understand why they are always empty.... and why I've heard other negative reviews about them. Definitely not going back. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SALON!!! With all of the Salon's out there in Miami, you would think a business would take better care of how they portray themselves. Every time I walk by Drama, there are new stylists working there. The turn around at this place is ridiculous. If you are looking for a salon where the same friendly faces are there to greet you, this is not your place. I had my hair done there once, and the cut was ok, but the business owner named Mari began to criticize the stylist right in front of me. It was the most unprofessional behavior I have ever seen. An owner should never treat their employees like that in front of customers. To make things worse, it turns out the owner isn't even a licensed hair stylist! She is just some lady who bought the business, yet, she apparently blow dries and washes peoples hair when things are busy. Red flag people!!! Bad service. No service actually. Set a lunch time appointment for 1pm. All work meetings and plans were scheduled around my nail appointment which would serve as my lunch break. I got there on time and was not seen until 1:30. The own repeatedly said it was almost my turn. Long story short I never got my nails done because they said it would take too long (past the 2pm I had to be back for). Had someone took the time or had the professional courtesy to call me and inform me it would be 30+ min late I would have rescheduled. Instead I wasted my time and my lunch break with nothing to show for it. read more

I decided to purchase a Groupon for Drama Salon despite the negative review listed here. I purchased a voucher for a Luxury Manicure and Pedicure for $22 (valued at $70). I called to get an appointment approximately 2 weeks before the voucher expired, but they didn't have any availability. They allowed me to book an appointment anyway, and said they would accept the expired voucher. I thought that was nice and went ahead and booked my appointment. I arrive at the scheduled appointment and the lady at the receptionist desk was very pleasant and welcoming. She was kind enough to let me sign into my Groupon account on her computer as my cell phone reception was nonexistent, and I had difficulty presenting my Groupon. As previously agreed upon, they accepted the expired Groupon. I had a very brief wait, while the manicurist finished up with another customer, and while waiting, the receptionist offered me a drink. So far, so good. I sit down at the manicurist's table to have my treatment, and it was an awkward setup. My feet were soaking in front of me and she had her table to the right of me. I basically had to twist around and stretch my left arm across my body for her to work on it. Not very comfortable. Despite the uncomfortable setup, everything was going well until she caused my toe to bleed from her aggressive filing! It seems she separated the tip of the nail from the nail bed. She was very apologetic, and I do understand that mistakes happen, however, later on she attempted to trim the cuticle and buff the bloodied toe! I quickly asked her to skip over that toe, but there was a language barrier and she had difficulty understanding my request. She then cleaned the injured toe with acetone, which burned like hell!!!! That was the icing on the cake! At that point, I basically wanted to finish up and get outta there! I get through the treatment without any further injury, tip her and leave. Two days later, my toe is still sore! Even though the salon was nice, and everyone was pleasant, I won't be back. read more

Its hard to find a place where I can get a good guy's haircut without paying a ton of money, or looking like I'm doing a 90's sitcom remake. The WORST salon!! Do not go here!! I came to this salon because I saw their $60.00 special on Instagram which was color and blow dry. I thought the price was not bad at all and when I get here I explained to the stylist names Serafin I wanted a mocha/ chocolate brown color. In the process of dying my hair I notice it started to look blonde and I made him aware I do not want blonde hair, so he offered to tone it down (thought it was the right thing to do since I clearly stated NO to blonde) all of a sudden the owner MAri, pulls the stylist away and takes him to a little room they have in the back and start to talk a they close the door. The stylist came back and the owner right in back of him and tells him "just leave her hair like that stop that process because its not included in the special she picked of te $60.00) I turned around and told her if it was too much of a problem to fix it then to put some black dye and I will leave as I came. She then starts accusing me of saying I am in a bad mood and that I'm small minded because the color originally looked great even though ME; the customer didn't like it. I thought customers always came first. I guess not for this lady. She could care less. She continues to argue with me on the color and how I should like the color. At this point it was just too much of we getting out of hand. I asked the hairstylist to cut my hair and he said it was $65 when it states $27 on their pricing sheet. I ended up paying which I regret so much doing so. To top it all off I was the last one at the salon and this owner lady kept hurrying the stylist up to have my hair dried. It was ridiculous. They put a bad name to Paul Mitchell !!! so sorry for anyone who walks through those doors of this salon. They live very well up to their name Drama read more

I went in to Drama Salon for a root touch up. I was nervous because I wasn't sure if they could match my blue formula. My stylist Kelly did an amazing job, did exactly what I asked and i left feeling great. Would definitely recommend this place for people looking for cooler, edgier haircuts. I must agree with the first review about this place having a ridiculous turn-around. I have seen about 7-8 stylists in the past year come & go. This is a tiny place, so there can't be more than 4 stylists at once, and there was always been no more than 2 or 3. Then they leave or get fired (very dramatically, may I add) in the next few months after starting. I only come to DRAMA every now & then, because I work in the Datran and get a discount, and it's convenient but it's very accurately named because it's a salon FILLED with drama. I've never seen such an unprofessional place. Also, as the first review said Marisol is NOT a hairdresser and does wash/blowdry clients hair, and she does have a habit of making a scene. The most dramatic things I've seen her do was call the police on a stylist who quit from getting mistreated, and criticize stylistS (not even just one) infront of a busy salon. She told one girl everything she was "doing wrong" and rudely giving her directions to do something else or another technique, and must I say that was wrong because she doesn't even do hair herself. I'm sure the stylist knows best. I've also seen her purposely ignore constant phone calls because she didn't want to service groupon clients because "groupon wasn't paying her." I understand being upset, but take it out on GROUPON NOT potential salon clients!! Also, I've seen the nail tech, who doesn't speak any english, and other stylists catching a buzz on the job... Honestly, the only thing I can say is if you must go out of your way to go to Drama, the prices and quality of service are not worth it. As I said before, I only go because it's so convenient for me to et a blowdry or my nails done on my break. There are so much better salons!! They DO try to give a relaxing, professional atmosphere but having gone so many times I've seen that to be a very untrue experience only new clients receive. read more
