Sherri, I just wanted to reach out and say thank you again for my sweet baby Elsa. Her name was Samantha when I got her from you back in December 2011. She just turned nine yesterday and is the love of my life. I can certainly testify to the quality of your facility and breeding program. Everybody that meets Elsa is in love, and she possesses so many wonderful traits and emotional intelligence. She is a joy! Thank you thank you thank you for all that you do!

I can't say enough good about Dream a Dream Dachshunds. We had lost our little princess that we had rescued when she was a puppy and at thirteen and a half passed away in her sleep. We have another dachshund that we had just adopted and had bonded with her and was at a loss when she passed. We had searched all over the country trying to find a young female that could keep up with our 3 year old girl and located one at Dream a Dream. We took a trip down from Montana rescue her and give her a forever home. I was extremely impress not only with the excellent staff, but with the grounds and the services that they provide. We picked up Olivia, a sweet little one year old girl who just loves to play with our Molly and loves to cuddle. Here's Molly giving Olivia security details. Molly on the lower left and Olivia on the right.

Absolutely amazing staff and facility. Sherry and her dogs are top notch!!!

Sherry and her staff are amazing. The helped us pick the perfect puppy and kept us informed through the whole process.

Just wanted to share a little bit. I recently adopted my Jarrod from here. It was great communication between us about appointments of meeting with the dogs. You for sure can tell they are well cared for and treated good. Gave a lot of information about caring for our Jarrod. He has for been a blessing to us in our home.

Here is the super professional message I received as a "compliment" to the review I wrote. Not exactly sure who it's from.

Wow, just wow. I'm sharing our story so others don't have to deal with the owner and her disgustingly rude attitude. I'm truly disappointed in this business. My boyfriend and I, along with our family, were looking to adopt another dachshund to give our current one a companion. Dachshunds are our favorite breed and we've had many over the years so we are very knowledgeable when it comes to their personalities, health conditions, and behavior. We made a call to the owner and left her a message only to get a disappointing response. She called us back and asked a few questions (such as "what's your price range?" And "do you have kids?" to which we replied we "have no price range and no kids either" ) before she said "I'm going to stop you right there. It sounds like you are looking for something fun to do and not to actually get a dog to have long term." Wrong. We are long time dachshund owners who love our dogs like they're our children and she had the audacity to turn us down based on a phone call and a few questions. I'm not sure why she was so rude to us but the entire conversation was completely inappropriate and uncalled for. She also made other comments such as "if we came out to see dogs, we'd just be wasting her time" and if she let us adopt a dog, "we'd just be bringing it back a week later" . My brother has rescued dogs from her before but sadly we will no longer be promoting her business due to this incident. She has lost loyal customers and turned away wonderful dog owners who treat their dogs like children.

I adopted my very first dog Clyde from dream a dream dachshund in 2009. He is now 10 and the best thing I have ever done!!

I have always wanted a dachshund. Back in 2009 I adopted my long haired cutie Clyde. He will be 10 in October. I had such a wonderful experience with Sherry. I just don't understand these bad reviews. He has never had any health problems. He is the sweetest dog I have ever owned. Truly my best friend. I had such a wonderful experience that shortly after we added another to our family. I do recommend Sherry. The experience was so easy and painless.

When I saw the chocolate and tan smooth coat male puppy Finley I had to have him. I didn't even want a dog! But I fell in love. Turns out Dream a dream has a fabulous and reliable owner who has texted me back about all of my first time mom concerns about our little guy. He's healthy and braver than all the big dogs he's met! He loves new people to pieces. Dream a dream's dachshunds are well loved, played with, and given a fantastic healthy diet. They're up to date on all their vet stuff, with extra bonuses like ear cleaning, nail trimming, and a microchip. I love our baby so much. If you want a dog, get a dachshund. If you want a dachshund, get one from dream a dream. You will not regret it.

Love my two babies that we adopted four years ago .

I explained, my other dog was waiting in the car - in A/C, with my brother, as I have health challenges and it would be difficult for me to manage both dogs at the same time. The receptionist said she did not care. It would be easier for them if I brought both dogs in at once. I reluctantly complied, and the receptionist / tech further hassled me, insisting on weighing the dogs four times, as she and I disagreed regarding the dogs weight - due to the harness, leash, and other items also being on the scale. I was ultimately placed in a room, while I tried to manage both my dogs at once. I waited for about 20 minutes, no one came into the room, so I left. In the lobby, 3 or 4 other employees were just sitting on the sofas. Not sure if they scheduled us during break times or why no one ever came in.

Lucy and Ludo were happy to see me but after saying an excited hello to me, Lucy tried to walk back into the other room as though she wanted to see her kennel friends one more time before leaving. It was really touching. The trainer kept me up to date on Lucy's progress and I even got to see social media posts about their play time and beach time. This is where they take your dog to the pool and there is also a sandy place where they can dig. It was very reassuring to me that they let me see where my pups would be staying and I got to help decorate their room. Other places won't show you the actual space your dog is in and are not transparent at all about the actual level of care. This place put my dogs' health and safety first and their happiness as a close second. I will use them again.

These folks are basically trying to sell their products - collars, leashes, etc. - and the training and support seem to be an after-thoughts. At the 4th lesson, our dog was overwhelmed and wanted to just sit on the mat. The other dogs went outside and did the agility course and our dog was told to sit back and watch (in a large grassy area with fire ants and sticker burrs). Addison said she would send us info on steps to take and further instruction at a 2-week training - never got anything else from her or these people. We decided not to show up for the 5th lesson. We have since gone to someone else, and our dog is doing great, and without a StarMark choke or prong collar that costs a lot of money and hurts the dog. The communication from the time we signed up was spotty at best, and then just got worse. There was no follow-up via phone or email at all. Would never recommend this place based on our experience.

She called back and spoke to the manager, Cody, and he also confirmed that nowhere in any of her paperwork did it show that she requested this additional service, but since the service was performed, she had to pay. Extremely disappointing and heartbreaking experience…read more The staff here were incredibly uncaring and, in my experience, unnecessarily mean. I arrived about 5 minutes late for my dog's appointment. He was an elderly dog and had been extremely difficult to get down the steps and into the car. By the time we arrived, he was already stressed and panting heavily after being in the car on a hot day. We then stood in line for another 5 minutes before reaching the receptionist, meaning we were approximately 10 minutes late by the time we were actually checked in. When I explained what had happened and how difficult it had been to get him there, I hoped there might be some compassion or willingness to work with us. Instead, I was simply told they could not see him because we were 10 minutes late. There was no concern for how he was doing or any attempt to find a solution. I explained that we could even skip the main things we had brought him in for and just have him receive the vaccinations he was behind on, since we were leaving for a trip in a few days and I wanted to make sure he was up to date. I was again told they could not see him because they were too busy. I offered to wait. I said I would sit in the waiting room and stay until they had an opening, even if it meant waiting several hours. I was told no. I asked if I could speak with someone else, but was told the manager wasn't there and that the receptionist was too busy to get anyone else to speak with me. What was most upsetting was the complete lack of compassion toward my dog. He was elderly, visibly stressed, and panting heavily, and yet there seemed to be no willingness whatsoever to help us once we were there. I ultimately had no choice but to take him to a walk-in emergency veterinary facility, where I paid more than twice what I would have paid at his regular vet just to have his vaccinations done. Because we were walk-ins, we waited almost three hours. My dog continued panting and was extremely stressed throughout the entire experience. It was heartbreaking to have to put him through that when I had already tried to get him care at his regular veterinary office. He didn't finally calm down from the stress until late that night. Sadly, my dog passed away just one week later. Knowing that this was one of his final experiences with a veterinary office makes the whole situation even more painful. I understand that veterinary offices can be busy and that there may be policies regarding late appointments. What I cannot understand is the complete lack of empathy and willingness to find any reasonable solution for an elderly, visibly distressed animal who was already sitting in their office. I have never had an experience at a veterinary office that felt so cold and uncaring. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this office to anyone who expects compassion and understanding when their pet is struggling.
