The bakery is very old school with wooden paneling, which I love and brought so much memories. Walking in the staff was very attentive and was able to assist me right away - super friendly too! The pricing for both items were not bad and affordable. Everyone enjoyed the donuts saying they're so delicious that it's dangerous. They were fresh and not heavy! The scones, raspberry thumb print and custard donuts are good. The scones are decent, the glazing is different. The custard donut is yummy. Good custard filling. The kolache cookies are pretty good. Long story short, home bakery ruined our gender reveal…read more.. After many years and birthday cakes ordered here, my mom ordered a set of cupcakes for my gender reveal. She ordered them over the phone and gave specific instructions on colors, cake flavors, etc. She had ordered white/vanilla cupcakes so that when our family bit into the cupcakes the gender color would be revealed. The employee on the phone reiterated the order and we thought all was well. Well my dad went to pick them up and was asked to sign a paper (not sure that this is policy or not but this seemed suspicious as if they knew they messed up) and came home with a dozen chocolate cupcakes. Unfortunately I have a family member who cannot have chocolate, and that is why we did not order that flavor. Very disappointing for a bakery that has been around for years and a staple in downtown Rochester can't even get a simple cake flavor correct. Unfortunately our reveal was disappointing as not everyone could partake due to home bakery's error. I will make sure myself/family and friends will never order from here again.

I was a bit disappointed they did not offer the assortment of plated sugar free cookies--not sure if they sold out or not longer offer them (it's a great option for diabetic friends). The confection selection arrived to its destination and was a great dessert option. The cassata cake and tiramisu were delicious. My daughter happily consumed her dot cake. The gluten free cookies were soft with a strong almond flavor and shaped like lady fingers. Hosts enjoyed cannolis and were gifted the remainder to enjoy later. Staff was attentive and accommodating. The interior is no frills and serves its purpose. There were several cases (not pictured) filled with yummy baked goodness, Italian wedding soup, pizza, muffuletta, breads, etc. Sadly, missed out on muffuletta (a great lunch/snack option), but maybe next time...

WOW!!! I was shocked because it didn't feel like 2 months since I was last around the area... I got to try every one of the cupcakes (that she had available). My favorite has to be the red cupcake. I don't know the name of it but they just tasted right! All of them was good. However, just wished it wasn't too sweet. I think it can be balanced with less sweetness so we can taste the rest of the other flavors. Don't get me wrong, there's flavor in all of them but it was overpowered by the sweetness. After 1 cupcake I wouldn't go for another one.. IMO. I also got her sweet potato pies but i don't think it was sweet potato because it tasted like pumpkin instead.. regardless, it was like eating pumpkin pie at your thanksgiving dinner!!!! So good! It was a quiet ambiance and I think this would be a great small place to chill or catch-up with a friend over some desserts/sweets. The owner should put out some chairs & tables for the inside or for outside, she would have many customers if so. Just an idea!
