Yum! Big fan of their yeasted donuts. Really soft and kinda chewy. They have that bread pull effect when you rip apart the donut, Kinda like the cheese pull but for really soft, nicely made bread. I got their glaze twist which I loved. I also got the chocolate glaze buttermilk. Didn't like the buttermilk as much but I think I just don't like buttermilk/cake/old fashioned donuts as much. I live for that DREAM FLUFF. Really want to go back and try some more. read more

Grew up in Berkeley my entire life and been coming here since I was a kid. I know the owners and they are the NICEST people on this earth! If you're a kid, they always sneak 2 or 3 free donut holes in your bag. When my mom passed away a few years ago, they sent me 4 dozen boxes of free donuts for the gathering after her funeral. Obviously I'm a little bias, but I guarantee you the donuts and food are amazing. They have a diverse selection of donuts and the chocolate bars and cinnamon rolls are the best. Their breakfast sandwiches are huge with the option of being on a croissant, english muffin, biscuit, bagel or toast. They have over 50 things on their menu from sandwiches to ice cream and even breakfast burritos. The hidden gem is their cheeseburger! Try to get there in the morning when the donuts are fresh! They open at 4am and are a great place for early risers or that last minute spot to grab a dozen donuts for the office! read more

My first time with DFD was around noon when they had ran out of most of the donuts but I still found the glazed ones quite fresh compared to Kingpin. I went back around 9 am during a weekday to try out their donut varieties. My usual goto is glazed or custard filled ones. Both were delicious, perfectly sweetened and custard was just right. I'll go back again for more since it's also the closest donut shop to my home. I'd recommend going here before 9 am for a wider selection of donuts. The store as such isn't that aesthetically pleasing but I do think it's a grab and go place so I won't fuss about it. Be prepared to park and walk towards the store because sometimes the store can get busy with 5+ folks in line. read more

This little donut shop is a hole in the wall place. Nothing fancy but they do offer a scrumptious donut for sure. Try the raspberry filled, it wasn't over filled or just jelly. I'm pretty sure they used raspberry preserves since it had small seeds. Next time I'm giving the apple fritter a try. read more

BIGOTS against disabled and inmunocompromised people and yes that means anyone with cancer. I walked in there today to try and buy a dozen donuts from my friends and I was in full PPE since I am immuno compromised. When I walked in, there was a gentleman sitting in a wheelchair with his little dog with his mask down. He was at the back of the store. I was at the front so I stayed away and I since I'm really immuno compromised, I asked the staff hey, I get sick very easily, I don't have a good vaccine response because of my particular condition and I am in full PPE, would it be possible for that gentleman in back to raise his mask? Before I could even finish the sentence, said customer started screaming at me, calling me racist, a bitch, the c-word, screaming profanities at me, insulting me, and worse. The staff did nothing to intervene while I was trying to finish ordering my donuts. Then two unmasked people tried to come in behind me and I said hey, I'll be right out, can you maybe just stand in line 6 feet behind me. Then a 6 foot two tall Black gentleman and black rimmed glasses, and a blue T-shirt, who I assume to be the manager or owner started screaming at me that I was "trying to control the store." I screamed back and said I'm disabled and immunocompromised and just trying to buy some donuts and and I'm literally just trying to protect myself AS A DISABLED PERSON. He then went out of his way to bring more unmasked people and so I left. Enjoy your Covid! Also enjoy the legal complaint with the City of Berkeley that I'll be filing against you for being denied disability accommodation access, and I'll see you in court! read more

I ordered delivery and got 2 out of the 4 items that I actually ordered, not sure why... I wanted to try the cake donuts and French cruller but instead I got raised donuts so it was a disappointment but I definitely want to come back to try the apple fritter. Glazed raised donut: 3/5 - fluffy, not too sweet although I would've preferred more glaze. Chocolate frosted donut: 1/5 - had a bitter(?) taste to it, and the dough alone was very bland Donut holes: 4/5 - again I would've preferred a bit more glaze but they tasted good! Buttermilk bar: 5/5 - basically a huge loaf of fried dough covered in icing. Yum. read more

True local gem. This might be the earliest place open for breakfast - 4AM breakfast available for very early risers/late partiers, wide spread of solid breakfast classics from bsandwiches/burritos/bplates. Owner lady is super nice too - she opened up the shop after hours when she saw our group hungrily staring at the donuts she was putting away. Donuts are cheap and delicious. read more

I love this place and love to coming every day, i have no issues with place but just want to give heads up, the person who is working inside the kitchen preparing sandwich with bare hands, he does not puts the gloves on and at the same time he handles the cash and credit cards. And goes to kitchen without washing hands start preparing the foods. Just want to advise please wear the gloves and be healthy and hygiene. We are in difficult time of COVID-19 and we need to be very careful for the transmission of disses. read more

I LOVE their maple bacon raised glazed, but will never return as yesterday was the last straw. There is a young white man (I'm white!) who is by far the RUDEST employee I've ever encountered. Yesterday wasn't the first time he's served up nastiness to me or other patrons. Every other employee is fabulous, but this young man turns a simple donut experience into a nightmare. Me (as I eye trays filled with donuts behind him): "Do you happen to have any maple bacon donuts ?" Him (in the rudest tone possible): "Do you see any because what you see is what you get." Me: "The ladies here will prepare them for me when that type of donut is out." Him: "Oh yeah. Ok. How many do you want?" I wish I could say the rudeness ended there, but it extended to the end of my $17 purchase and to the person after me. I don't need a cup of attitude with my food and there are many other donut shops in the area where delicious donuts are served without attitude. Get rid of him and let me know he's gone and I'll be back. read more

TL;DR awesome donuts for very little $ Dream Fluff Donuts is a 5/5 hole in the wall mom n' pop shop! Their donuts are ridiculously fresh and ridiculously inexpensive. This is my go-to donut shop in Berkeley for my donut fanatic friend! My favorite is their regular glazed yeast donut. Light, fluffy, and topped w/ the perfect glaze. They also open at 4am, so if you are an early early bird in need of breakfast, or just need that morning donut, Dream Fluff is the place to go! read more

Don't expect anything fancy when visiting. This place reminds me of an old country store, especially when you enter through the old, creaky screen door. Place is pretty small and can get a little crowded. There are about 5 seats at a bar, 3 inside tables and 3 outside tables so picking up takeout might be your best option. The menu is pretty expansive, offering you a variety of donuts and pastries, but they also offer breakfast sandwiches and breakfast plates. If ordering a sandwich, be prepared to share, especially if you plan on grabbing a donut or two. I like the croissant or the sour dough sandwiches. This is also one place that I would recommend for donuts...the dough is dense yet airy and they are delish and always taste super fresh. It's hard to stop at only one! If you do stay to eat, be sure to take a stroll around the Elmwood neighborhood and duck into a few of their shops. It's a super cute area and your bound to stumble upon another eatery you might want to try out. read more

Nice folks up at the crack of dawn with a full lineup of bakery goods. I honed in on the old fashioned donuts, my favorite. They're good, about 4 stars. They need some extra crunchiness to reach 5 stars. And... no maple old-fashioned. Did I mention the folks here are very personable? I love that! read more

Dream fluff donuts has everything! Sandwiches, bagels, donuts, cup noodles, ice cream, gum, Dream Fluff T-shirts, lotto tickets, burgers, omelettes, energy drinks, milk shakes, Tylenol, DayQuil, Alka Seltzer... the list goes on. Donuts aren't the best I've ever had, but they're good and the employees are always friendly. Great one-stop kinda place if you find yourself in the area looking for a convenience store. :) read more

My first visit here was amazing. A warm and friendly smile was there to greet me upon entry, and the buck didn't stop there. I was scanning the pastry display looking for my favorite, a maple bacon donut, to which I didn't see. I asked if they had any, and the owner actually said she could have one made if I had a minute. I've never in my life had a donut shop actually go out of their way to make something I wanted. Usually, what you see is what you get. Not on this day though! A guy came and grabbed a yeast raised donut, took it to the back and voila, out popped a maple bacon donut smothered in shredded bacon. Yum. The donut did not disappoint, it was so soft and pillowy. Did I mention it was smothered in bacon shreds? Yep, lol. Dream Fluff is officially my favorite donut shop in the Bay Area now, knocking out a SF staple. I eat a mostly low-carb diet so when I indulge, I want it to feel worth it. Donuts are one of my favorite "cheat" foods and Dreamfluff does not disappoint! If you are looking for recommendations, try the maple or chocolate buttermilk bar. It's crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, the way a buttermilk bar should be. It's also huge so perfect for sharing (if you're feeling generous). They also have a great custard-filled maple bar, classic glazed donut, and French cruller. Pro tip: if you download the app Too Good To Go you can purchase a discounted mystery bag for $3.99 which you collect at the end of the day. This turned out to be 2PM on Sunday because they close early on weekends so the donuts were still fresh! Also, for $3.99 I received TWELVE donuts, many of which were considered "fancy" donuts (e.g., a bar, twist, cinnamon roll, coffee cake donut ,etc). This is a truly unbeatable deal that probably won't last! read more

Dream Fluff Donuts is located in Berkley close to Highway 13. Parking can be difficult in the area because this area has high traffic, and there is only paid street parking options. This shop provides a variety of baked goods,and food besides donuts. You can have a regular breakfast or sandwiches. The back of the shop has a few refrigerators full of a nice variety of drinks. Dream Fluff Donuts has your typical selection of donuts you see at any donut shop. The donut that caught my attention was their Glazed Donut. The Glazed Donut was nicely glazed and not oily/greasy. What separates their Glazed Donut from any other shop in the area is because it is fluffy, dense and sponge like consistency. This Glazed Donut remind me a lot of Stan's Donuts in the South Bay Area. I definitely will return and look forward to trying other donuts at Dream Fluff's Donuts. This place is the best! We ordered donuts for our wedding here, and the only regret is that we didn't order more! We got 150 donuts and they were gone within the first 30 minutes. The donuts here are so delicious and we got multiple compliments on them from our guests. The owners are so nice too and helped give me instructions on how to store them and even helped carry the donuts out to the car. Ditch the wedding cake and go for the donuts! They are more delicious, more popular, and the prices are much more reasonable. read more

I really loved this place! They have a HUGE menu, with much more than donuts! They have a wide variety of donuts, pastries, and treats, along with full breakfast and lunch menus. I thought that this place was really cool, the apple fritter was SO good and the bagels were yummy :) Everything is reasonably priced and they open at 4am so you can have an early breakfast lol. The only issue is there's no clear menu posted online, so we walked in completely blind. Their website shows a long list of flavors but not what they actually have that day, so it felt like a guessing game. The line moved really slow because there was only one employee handling everything. She was taking orders, giving samples, answering questions, and ringing people up all at once. She was super friendly and doing her best, but it felt like a lot for one person during a rush and the shop could definitely use more help. The space is really small and tight so it was hard to even see the flavors until we got close to the front. When we finally got up there, a lot of the tubs were already empty which was confusing since most ice cream shops restock. Some flavors I wanted weren't available anymore, and if they're out it would make more sense to just remove them from display. The dirty containers didn't make sense to display. I sampled the jasmine green tea and knew right away I wanted it. It was creamy with a smooth tea flavor that wasn't overpowering. I got a small with half jasmine green tea and half avocado. The avocado was surprisingly really good, super creamy and tasted like a fresh avocado smoothie. Both flavors weren't overly sweet which I liked. My husband wanted cookies and cream but it was sold out so he got chocolate chip instead, which was solid and creamy with good texture. Overall the ice cream itself was good, not the best I've had but definitely not bad. I like that the flavors lean more natural and not overly sweet. I could see myself coming back if I'm in the area, but the experience would be a lot better with faster service and more consistency with what's actually available.

There's plenty of tables outside lining the path to the door. I was there on a Wednesday around 5pm. A line is normal at iScream, so I got behind 2 people. There was only one hardworking young lady behind the counter, so we had to wait a bit. I don't know what they were baking in the backroom, but the sweet aroma was just captivating. I asked for a scoop of Dark Chocolate in a cup. The "tap to pay" system made the transaction quick and simple. The ice cream was rich, creamy, with a bitter aftertaste. Very good! For $5.25. it satisfied my ice cream craving.

I can't imagine enjoying it in a rush anyway because it's meant to be savored and enjoyed as one of the simple pleasures in life. Other frozen yogurt places these days have an artificial, almost corporate feel about them. I also like how pricing is not based on weight like most other places. It's straightforward, they mix it for you, and it's delicious.
