Kissing bridge loyalist here ! Family fun since childhood ! Great family fun events every weekend ! Safe and easy to get to ! Affordable friendly atmosphere! The lessons for the little ones are cost effective and loads of fun ! Snowmaking is second to none and the vibe is upbeat ! Tickets are affordable and if you buy early it's so affordable ! We come out to the ski swap every year and load up ! Today they were giving away free helmets to kids ! No one does that !! Come ski KB

Kissing Bridge is a very nice place to go skiing. Less than an hour drive from Buffalo, a lot closer than Holiday Valley. The price tag is also a lot nicer than the Holiday Valley one, especially for seniors. The senior rate start at 62, where Holiday Valley starts at 70! KB has a nice amount of slopes, from easy to very challenging. The slopes are not that long, so you spend relatively much time in a ski lift. The snow is very well groomed, mostly pretty wide, so plenty of room to ski. The ski lifts are okay, but do need some update. There is a lot of rust on the supports and the seats. The padding on the seats is not very much. That is no problem on the lifts that have foot supports you can put your skis on. On the ones without supports your hamstrings start to protest somewhere halfway the ride. I understood since this season there is new management, so hopefully there will be some improvements.

I learned how to ski at Kissing Bridge as a kid and was excited to bring my two sons there to experience what I loved as a kid on our recent trip to Buffalo. KB did not disappoint. Getting there was simple, parking a breeze and the usual heavy amount of homework required to get young kids outfitted in gear and up on the mountain was simple and much quicker than what we are used to at big west coast resorts. From getting lifts tickets, to getting set up with rentals (Nice quality Rossignol skis for all) to lessons for my two boys (9 and 12) everything was fast and easy with the help of a friendly young staff. The snow was solid, lines weren't bad, and the easier hills were perfect for my sons to continue to learn to ski. I loved getting back to Kissing Bridge and sharing the experience with my 2 boys. Highly recommend!

Going to keep it concise and just say kissing bridge is a dying resort. For a few dollars LESS you can go to Holliday Valley where they have newer and faster lifts, more options in terms of hills, bigger resort in general and much better location. South hill is always closed and sometimes north so you never get your full worth. Just beware

If you're from Buffalo and you like to ski, you typically choose from KB or Holiday Valley (or Holimont on the weekdays) in E-ville. KB is located in an isolated area with not much else around it. I don't think it gets the people/money that the Ellicottville ski areas get, so the lifts are slower and older, the paint is chipping in places, and not too much has changed in ten+ years. That said, it's affordable, has fine runs, and a nice staff at the lodge (front desk/repairs). Also, I like that they have music playing over speakers outside the lodge-- that adds to the atmosphere. I give it three stars but that's not to say dislike it. I guess I've been spoiled by other ski places that are more resort-like.

Always fun. Eat the French fries at the bar or cafeteria. I do wish the had the option for 2hr, 4hr, 6hr, or 8hr tickets.

I love to ski here. As it is still close to the city and not far of a drive. The trails and people are decent as well. Always a Great time.

In honor of hiking on The Weekly Yelp Buffalo, here's another one for all of your beautiful hearts…read more The Erie County Forestry Bureau cannot be put into words how stunningly gorgeous it really is. It's off of the 219 in East Concord, take the Genesee Road exit and the park is literally right on that same road about ten miles down. You will pass the Sugar Mill on your left and the specific trail that I took was on the right hand side. At sunrise, there was no one there and when we left around 10:30, there still was no one there. Except people mowing the grass... Anywhooo. The trail starts in a small hut, you cross a bridge, and then you're off. The first thing you should note is the looming trees and vast foliage. The trail is small but the trees loom tall over you. It really puts things in perspective for the hiker... you're small in comparison to the nature around you. Also, fun bonus, squirrels and wildlife were eating the acorns from the trees and dropping them near us (maybe throwing them at us? Only *they* know). The trail is several miles so you really need to dedicate a full morning to this trail. Especially since the main problem here is that the trail ends up being unmarked for small portions so you're likely to get lost, just a heads up. Don't let that deter you though because some of the best parts of the hike were the unmarked spots. Unmarked location one) We ended up near a flowing creek where you could hear nothing but the waters, your own wavering breath, and the birds overhead. There's nothing more I love than those combination of sounds to form tranquility. Breathe in, exhale, release. Unmarked location two) At sunrise we were already deep into the forest and stumbled upon an open field. Now here's the cool part about the open field: looking straight into the field gives you a simple perspective. Open field, light, awesome. But when you turn your head slightly to catch the light from a different angle, there were HUNDREDS of spider webs formed on different leaves with spiders inching up the webs. You're probably thinking "Oh my god, spiders..." but it was such an incredible thing to witness. And you could only see them if you changed your perspective slightly... I can't wait to come back here! This was only one trail, but there were some on the other side of the road as well (near the Sugar Mill). The Forestry Bureau seems like a huge expanse of land, made up of intertwining trails that lead you everywhere and nowhere. If you're looking for a bit of a break from the chaos in life, a prescription of a hike might be in order! Try this trail and experience the beauty of nature for yourself.

Recently they've blocked many of the beautiful trails here with bolders. You can still go around…read morethem but it's not easy on x-country ski's and the trails aren't groomed beyond the bolders. I don't know why they did this or if it may be temporary (I hope so). I was disappointed to not be able to get to Myer's Lake or the apple orchard the last time I skied there. I was skiing on beautifully groomed trails when I encountered the obstacles to continuing where I wished to ski. Also they're digging and building around the old ski /sledding hill. Rumor has it that they're putting in a playground. If so I think that area would be better for something else as the view is incredible from there....not really needed for a playground...but that's all hearsay....I'll wait and see what's up when it's done. But a bit disappointed in general with Bond's Lake lately.

Looked at this place for a wedding venue. It's quite large and pretty but located directly across…read morethe street from a gun range so we wouldn't be able to have our outdoor ceremony due to the overwhelming sounds of gunshots nearby. Our wedding is at 10am on a Sunday though, so a later ceremony may not have this issue. I highly suggest going to the venue at the time of day you'd like to have your outdoor event and check it out. It's absolutely beautiful though for an indoor and the park itself around the water is gorgeous. The view from the warming house is breathing taking.

Bond Lake Winter Complex - Be careful. There are Loon's in the water. They are pretty, but have very sharp beaks that can pierce you or your pet.
