This was not my first time here but, it definitely was my last. I went in for a spa pedicure. I was assigned to a lady who spoke no English to me but continually spoke in a different language to the other workers. I say that because she was so rough, I would say things like "ouch, that hurts" or "ok that is really uncomfortable" and she just smiled and kept going. She was in such a rush, my entire experience was under 30 minutes. She scrubbed the tops of my feet with a very hard bristled brush, it hurt so bad. You would have thought me pulling my foot would have given her a clue even if she didn't understand me saying "ouch that hurts!" she also cut me with her clippers. When I think of Spa Pedicure, I think of relaxation and pampering. This was anything but that! It was a rushed, hectic, torture type experience. In the end I did have polished nails, however they also only lasted 2 days then started chipping. Not a good experience at all!! read more

I followed my nail technician "Hannah" when she opened her own spa in Ridgemont Plaza. The distance is further than where she was before, however she is very skilled at what she does and I'm always happy with the quality of every visit. I came in last week for an acrylic fill, and the "nail tech" I had was named Lisa. She was nice, but she doesn't know how to do nails. She took a half hour just grinding them down using some 5 step program with different bits before AND after putting down new acrylic, and it was at the point I had to tell her to stop because she removed so much acrylic around my cuticles it was hurting my nail bed. She also didn't clean up my cuticles once. I asked for almond and each nail is a different shape. Don't get me started on the paint job. You can even see where I might've bumped my nail in the UV light and she didn't even catch that. I should've gone back and gotten a full refund but I was so embarrassed I will just never give them business again. If they can't do a simple plain color gel job, don't even think about designs. My friend had the same nail tech and her gel manicure started peeling the very next day. 0/10 read more

I am a regular for gel manicures at Dream Salon and Spa and I am always extremely satisfied with not only the quality of my nails polish and shape, but the kindness of the staff. I will continue to come even with my new commute from Penfield. I was due for a color and cut for my hair and I learned that the salon offers these services so I decided to schedule an appointment. Hannah was my stylist and she did a fabulous job with my hair. I came in asking for full highlight to get blonder for the summer and she suggested a few alternative that would do less damage to my hair. I went with a balayage color, which turned out beautiful and she gave me a consultation on choice of toner. I am sure that if you go in more than and hour and a half before they close, you will get better service. I was rushed out in snowy December with my disposable flip flops because they wanted to close early. I had one person working on my toes and she did a good job and another working on my hands. She was okay. I noticed after I left that I had some fuzz from some clothing painted onto my finger nail and was not happy about it. I also noticed later on that some portions of my finger nails did not get painted. The woman who was doing my finger nails was also on the phone the whole time and I when she started talking to me, I couldn't tell and so she had to repeat a few times which I don't think she liked. That and it was $75 for me to get a mani and pedi, regardless of if I was getting gels. And my daughter, was $50 for gels. I went to pay and I had asked if I could have them charge for a tip and they said that they only accept cash tips but their atm was out of order. read more

Heather has a great talent for hair artistry; keeps up to date on latest hair trends; styles and colors, and is very innovative and creative while always keeping the customers comfort level in mind. This is a cute place next to the Wegmans in Greece. We came here for manis and pedis before my best friends wedding. We picked here because they have the ability to accommodate a large amount of people for pedicures and manicures at the same time. For that reason alone, I highly suggest coming here with wedding parties. The prices are spot on for their services and all of the staff are friendly and easy to talk to. They were very kind in including all of us girls in conversation. I got a manicure and it was very nice and quick. The color lasted a good 10 days without getting a chip which is just about a lifetime for me. My best friend got a gel manicure that is still going strong 2 weeks later. They offer a good amount of nail polish colors but unfortunately, not a lot of variety of colors. They seemed to have at least 5 of every color they offered and offered a ton more of the popular colors like pink and red. I'd rather see some lime greens and bright blues than 8 different red's. They also offer hair services, but none of us used any. Overall, this a great place to go with a group of friends to get your nails and toes done and you will get a great service. read more

Called back again today to speak with a manager as the CC terminal company was zero help. The manager would not listen to me completely, interjected her own thoughts about my "budgeting skills" rather than listening to me fully and inevitably hung up on me. Service there has always been decent when it comes to nails but sadly the management there is rude as all get out. 3 customers lost because the store isn't competent enough to close out their CC terminal nightly, and won't own up to their own mistakes which cost customers more money in the end. read more

Dream Salon and Spa is one of the few salons in the area that offers child pricing for manicures and pedicures (10$ for a child mani, 15$ for a child pedi, as of Dec 2018) and has kid-friendly technicians that are gentle. My 5 year old daughter and I recently visited this salon for pedicures and the staff were really wonderful with her, gentle on her feet, and made the experience fun for the both of us. The clientele here, at least during my visit, were not pretentious (as I've experienced in other area salons while visiting with my daughter), and some of the salon regulars chatted us up while we waited for our nails to dry together. The adult pricing was also very reasonable - 30$ for the basic spa pedicure. This salon came highly recommended from friends of mine, and I can affirm that it offers reasonable pricing, quality services, professional staff, and is a great choice for families looking to book services together. read more

Really didn't want to write this review, but feel the need to share my expeirence so others can be aware. First went for a full set of nails, they turned out pretty good, I got a different shape and am unsure of how I feel about it, so can't blame them for my choices there. While getting my nails done I asked about pricing for hair color. I was told around $60 for full color. Thought great, that seems like a really good price, I have a lot of hair. Also expected it to be more, maybe $80-$100 (again, i have a lot of hair and am not unreasonable). Love the color, and added on a cut, total ended up being $145...bit high, but thought well if I love the color and cut, worth it. As I was getting the dye on I was informed they ran out of dye remover....okay, I have some at home from a previous bad experience where I left with dye all over my face, and sweater. She did pretty good at not getting too much on my skin, but then I got home, and found a big glob on the collar of my sweater. I tried getting it out with my dye remover, it faded, but didn't completely go away. Her chair was also broken, and didn't have the foot rest, and I am fairly short so it was not the most comfortable sitting there for 2 hours with my feet dangling, when there were no other stylists there, I should have been offered a different seat. I am sure stylists get weird about that, but the chair was broken. Just over all not the best experience, and I was hoping to have found a salon I could be a repeat customer to, but I think that is not going to be the case. Upset by the service I received this past weekend. A family member and I went in, both getting gel manicures and we were seated at the same time. My nails were shaped and filed poorly, then immediately after the polish was applied. Took no longer than twelve minutes. My family member had her nails soaked, her cuticles cut and her nails filed nicely. Along with gel polish applied. After I sat there and waited for twenty minutes for my family member to have her nails done, the lady who painted my nails was just sitting there on the phone. I've been to Dream Salon a number times for Pedicures and Manicures and have been somewhat satisfied. I received a Gift Certificate for Christmas, which I did not realize had a 1 year Expiration Date. I was 2 months beyond the date, I was very disappointed they could not work with me on honoring this certificate. Why an expiration date on a gift certificate that is bought and paid for that is just ridiculous. Needless to say I will not be back to Dream Salon and will not recommend. read more

I have frequented Dream Salon in the past and the location, cleanliness of space and service was great. My have things changed over the past year or two. For instance, I had a nail appointment that needed to be cancelled and reschedule only to find out that my technician never got the message! I felt horrible because I WAS a loyal customer and the fact that this happened on 2 separate occasions is unacceptable. The last nail appointment I had the technician used a "new polish/coat" for gel manicure but did not share with me until I checked out there was an additional charge. Not that I couldn't afford the "extra charge" but it was the principle of the matter. In general, the customer service at Dream sucks and the women that work in this establishment are not the friendliest when guests arrive...particularly african american. You sit in the waiting area until someone decides they want to ask if you've been helped, or rather they don't make you feel welcomed at all! Another time I stopped in just about a half hour before closing for a pedicure. I waited 15 minutes before someone told me they could not take me because they were closing soon...There is so much more detail I can share about "Dream Salon" ...rather than waste my time and energy that I've done driving all the way to Greece and be disappointed, in a nutshell this place is a NIGHTMARE! DO NOT USE THIS SALON! Sarah Ferguson-Simonds tried doing ombre and it came out terrible!!! The 1st try my hair turned orange, a week later she said she would get the orange out and my hair turned dark blonde and she continued to put blonde all over my head which i did not ask for! She said to come back in 2 weeks to try to get it lighter and she completely made me a blonde but it is all blochey, there is a huge line across my hair near my forehead that was not even touched..i cannot even put my hair up, its so embarrassing. I contacted Sarah and asked if i could atleast get a refund or half my money back and she said THE POLICY DOES NOT ALLOW THAT! are you kidding me!?!? my hair is a total disaster and they want me to come back in to fix it but charge me $45 for products!!!!!
