I'm not a person who does reviews but I absolutely had to give a review because my experience was so horrible. No woman or man should go in an establishment looking to come out feeling beautiful or handsome only to be appalled at the outcome. I'm a professional myself and when someone is servicing me, I'm one to give a tip even if the service is not good. I treat people nice because you never know what people go thru and it makes me cringe when I hear customers demanding things and saying all the things they don't like and never what they do. I went in for an eyebrow threading just because I was passing by on the way out. Im not from the area, I'm a travel nurse and would be flying home in a couple days so I just wanted to get my eyebrows cleaned up for the thanksgiving holidays. I SPECIFICALLY told her that I wanted my eyebrows to be cleaned up and nothing taking off. She said nothing and I repeated myself. She immediately started to thread my eyebrows with no real patience to what she was doing and kept demanding me to pull my eyelids super tight. When she handed me the mirror after she was done, I immediately told her that I did not like her work at all and that she did a horrible job. This is so unlike me, and I stuck to who I am as a person and preceded to pay her the cost of the eyebrow thread but I did not give a tip. Which also is so unlike me. I still remained respectful. She told me she didn't take anything off my eyebrows and she gave me exactly what I wanted. I told her absolutely not!!I left and went to sit in my car to leave. But I looked in the mirror and immediately got out my car to go back because I could not be ok with paying for a service so foul that left me in my eyes deformed. When I arrived back at the studio she was sitting down and I told her "Mam, I'm sorry but I need my refund because I can't pay for something like this" she responded with "we don't do refunds"... I said well can I have your name? She said why do you want my name. I told her because if I can't get my refund then I'm going to have to write a review to prevent women coming here to feel beautiful only to leave feeling insecure because of a horrible job. At this point my soul was on fire but I remained as calm and respectful as I could. I showed her a picture of my eyebrows before I sat in her chair and then compared it to a picture that I took of her horrible job(which I will post). I asked her look at my eyebrows and look at your eyebrows, would you want someone to do the type of work on your eyebrows as you did on mine?! She then obliged and gave me my refund in cash which she shook her head the whole time. I told her I think if her attitude and customer service was better maybe she would have been able to listen to what I requested of her. By this time my boyfriend was on the phone and when I left, I couldn't make it out the store good before I was in tears. I'm 27, a nurse, who loves helping others and understand that we are all flawed and it's not humanely possible to be perfect. But I was so mad and hurt that I received that type of treatment (although i'm used to it with my profession). Long story short God is good, and in addition he made us so wonderfully that we can say things like "it's hair it will grow back". That's the bright side of it all. To the owner who unfortunately did my eyebrows, I hope you do better. You and I can both use this as a learning experience. Although I feel you learned nothing, I learned that it's ok to stick up for yourself while remaining respectful. Please take my review as caution.

The salon itself was nice and the staff seemed friendly. At first, everything seemed fine, and I clearly explained how I wanted my hair styled. I have a short bob that can be styled in a lot of different ways. When my stylist parted my hair down the middle, I got a little nervous but hoped it would turn out okay. The entire service was done with just a round brush and blow dryer. When she finished, I was honestly disappointed and told her so. The style made me feel like I looked like a little boy, and I said I could have achieved the same result myself at home. She responded by saying that's just how my hair responds, but I disagreed because I've had my hair styled many times before and know what it's capable of. (Basically I called BS) I even offered to show photos of previous blowouts I've loved. What I asked for was simple, some volume with a slightly sleek finish. I also mentioned that my hair can be parted in different ways. At one point she suggested curling it, but after later looking at the salon's website, I noticed they charge extra for flat iron or curling iron work, which may explain why it wasn't initially offered. To her credit, she did try to fix it, and it looked better, but overall I still wasn't very happy with the experience. I paid, tipped, and moved on, but for $45, I personally didn't feel it was worth it. Unfortunately, I wouldn't return.

I visited for the first time last night an hour before close. I was getting a long hair cut with…read morelayers and adding face-framing bangs after growing out my bangs the past two years. (I also have an important event in a few days, so I was nervous about trying a new stylist.) I've always loved Aveda salons, so I booked with Lisa, a master stylist. Right out of the gate, the entire staff was not only tolerant of my service dog but welcoming. ‍ I typically bring a padded mat for him, but we were crunched for time getting there after work. I didn't mention his mat, but they automatically offered to bring my dog a towel to lay on, which he loved. Lisa asked many clarification questions as to the look I was going for. She let me show her pics and describe my experience with my natural waves and certain products. She told me we would take off the majority of the bangs and then come back after she'd cut the back. Aside from adding subtle layers, I asked her to take off very little length. She listened, which is not ways the case with stylists as we all well know! She then made three passes at my bangs based on not wanting to take off too much. I really appreciated her level of care, empathy, and patience with my service dog and me. I also discussed starting demi coloring with her and asked several questions about products she used to style my fresh cut. I loved how she didn't push products on me like some people do. She was all about making me comfortable Nd happy! Needless to say, she's my new stylist, and I can't recommend her enough!
