A root canal was recommended , after which I was asked about the Endidontic Doctor I was sent to. Apparently. they had no knowledge of Canton Endodontics , but sent their patients there. This resulted in an immediate abscess of the tooth with subsequent removal and Trigrminal Neuralgia from prolonged extension of jaw when over 65 The pain continues in my jaw and face , and costing over $4000.00 read more

I went in here knowing there was something wrong with 1 of my teeth. It was really sensitive and I felt something crack off of it about a week prior. And I could see the cracked piece missed when putting a mirror in my mouth and looking in the mirror. It was a very small piece and you had to look a certain way, but I could also feel it with my tooth as well. I saw the dentist there and she told me exact words that it must have been a corn kernel or something stuck in there that I was feeling and it would eventually dislodge. I tried to get her to keep looking but she was persistent that she knew. I went to another dentist and I needed a crown. Because it was a crowned tooth already and the back of the crown had a small crack in it, and the underneath of the crown had a lot of decay underneath it, because it was about 20 years old. So I would definitely think twice, actually 3 times before going here! She was horrible. No bedside manner whatsoever. Did not listen to me at all, even though I knew what was going on in my own mouth. I would never recommend stepping foot in this place! read more

I recently scheduled a new patient appointment as it had been over a year since my last cleaning. Unfortunately the earliest date was October 12th for exam/X-rays and October 29th for a cleaning. Luckily some time became available and Jeanine emailed me to see if I could come sooner so I was able to get a much earlier appointment with Dr. Shwartzman. The front desk staff is very friendly and the office is very clean. They treatment rooms are very neat and have giant flat screen monitors to see you X-rays. The dental assistant Adrienne was very professional and friendly. Dr. Shwartzman is extremely knowledgable. I had gotten a Cerec crown a few years ago and had felt it wasn't done right but since I really liked me dentist I took his word that it was okay. Well she confirmed that there was a margin where it was not completely sealed and needed to be replaced. Otherwise it would become decayed because of the space. He had buffed it down because the bite was off after putting it on. Unfortunately because it wasnt properly glazed the material it was made from is very abrasive and it was causing damage to the teeth above. I was obviously disappointed that I had spent $1500 on a faulty crown but appreciative that she noticed this. I also suffer from TMJ. It's awful. My doctor basically told me that I could take ibuprofen and apply ice/heat for pain. She mentioned perhaps I could get some physical therapy and buy a mouth guard from CVS but that was it. Dr. Shwartzman did a thorough exam and explained that my jaw was out of alignment and that was why I was in so much pain. The good news was that they offer a wonderful treatment plan and a custom made mouth guard to correct TMJ!!!!! I was under the assumption that this was something I had to live with. So after a very thorough exam, Dr. Shwartzman designed a treatment plan to correct and replace old dental work. She started with the most important things like the defective Cerec crown and TMJ. Going forward will be a long expensive road but I feel confident putting my dental care in her hands. I would also like to mention that Dr. Shwartzman did an exceptional job on my husbands bridge. First they whitened his teeth then made the bridge. They provided him with before and after photos as well. I was very impressed. This prompted me to leave my longtime dentist and schedule with Dr. Shwartzman. I'm glad that I did and am looking forward to a healthier, prettier smile. read more

I have been visiting Dreamsmile Dental now for 3 years and I usually hate going to the dentist and avoid it like the plague. However, this place not only makes you feel welcome and comfortable, they are friendly, sincere and care about their patients. Even when I cancel a million appointments because I am tied up or busy, they stay on me to get in and take care of my teeth. They have a very pleasant staff and I really like not only the Hygenists but the dentists are great too! They try to work out payment arrangements and take most insurance carriers and will work with you on any procedures that need to be done. They also have the most high tech, up to date equipment and the place is very clean. It is convenient to Routes 93 and 95 and is quick and easy. I highly recommend this office and will continue to visit, no matter where in the city I live. read more

For 3 min. maximum in the room with me, not even examining teeth, because he was taking "couple minutes" from very perspective patient in adjacent area, asking me to point to the problem, dr. Ronkin charged $110.00 for Oral evaluation! After I asked written report for this "evaluation", he dropped $20.00 and agreed it was Partial evaluation, steel $90.00 for 3 min. Not bad. He started to claim, that he allocated 1.5 hours for me, and I must pay for the time he allocated. Thank god, he didn't allocate 3 hours, and if he did allocate, he spend this time not doing nothing, but with another patient. By the way, it was my first (and last, of course) visit. On the top of it, he didn't have time to discuss treatment with mi, just briskly commanded dental assistant to make next appointment for crown. Another thing I didn't like was, that, when they gave me new statement, old one was demanded back in a very rude manner. If you go there, better go with somebody else in a tow and immediately check statement. P.S. I am sure, not all dentists in the office are the same. read more

I came to see Dr Evetta about having work done. The office was nice but Dr Evetta was not. I told her my issue to which she responded that I have to look at the shadow under a molar because ' what if it's cancer'!!! I had not been in the chair 30 seconds before those words came out of her mouth. When I spoke with her she became abrasive and frightened me. I also noted that she did not want to address my concerns and had an agenda on how she wanted to cut open my mouth for a possible problem. When I attempted to speak with her she became rude and not forthcoming. This is a red flag and should not be dismissed because of urgency, that she made me feel DID NOT REALLY EXIST I have since gone to a very reputable Dentist who did a new set of xrays and found NO INSTANCE of anything to worry about let alone imply cancer. The level of integrity is questionable and my conscience requires me to warn others. BUYER BEWARE. read more

Worst dentist EVER! Seriously, I am not kidding! I went in for a tooth that I know very well had a problem, because I take very good care of my teeth, and I know when something is wrong with one of them. I'm not an idiot, like this woman thought that I was. So when I called saying that this particular tooth had a small chip on the back of it that I could feel and see in the mirror, they said ok and made me an appointment like a normal dentist would. Once I got there I waited so long, so that was already aggravating! Then I finally got to see the dentist and she looked at the "tooth" that I am talking about, and that I know had a problem. And proceeds to tell me that that tooth is perfectly fine, and that it's just a corn kernel or something stuck behind My tooth. Really!!! Then why when she scraped at it she couldn't get this so called kernel off?? So not only would she not fix that, but she goes over to another tooth that I know has an issue, but it was not bad. It was a tooth that had a cavity on it and the cavity was really old, and looked like there was some decay underneath it. So I had known that I needed to get in to get that taken care of. But at the time that tooth was not hurting me. So this dentist, if I would even call her that. Took her metal stick thing, and said to me while I held a mirror up looking in my mouth, her exact words were, "that tooth is not your problem, this tooth, this tooth is your problem ". Pointing to it with the metal thing, then pushing it in a little to my cavity and it lifted. Which yes it was weak anyways, but she just did it in. Then said go make an appointment for this tooth. After now the tooth with the alkaline filling was a bit lifted off and you could partially see inside if you didn't keep it pushed in. So no I was not going back there! Especially because here's the best part of it all, I went somewhere else, and guess what DREAM SMILE DENTAL ............ CAN YOU HEAR ME?!! YOUR DENTIST IS 100% Wrong!! That woman anyways, that tooth she said had a corn kernel actually was a crown! With lots of decay inside. So if she took the time to actually pay attention to WHAT HER PATIENTS SAY TO HER, AND NOT COMPLETELY IGNORE THEM, then maybe she would have took an X-ray! And known this! Because I don't even eat popcorn, or hard corn chips, or whatever she's talking about, so someone should tell her this. That she should listen a little more! And not to stick her tools into other teeth that no one asked her to and cause more problems that were not needed! She's a horrible dentist.....and it takes me a lot to write a review! It is solely through my fiance's experiences that I report this venue of less than 1 star! He set up a new patient appointment. BTW, he found out the reason this place is so expensive: the new patient package included a swanky DVD and fancy, glossy, non-recycled brochures and paperwork! **From one earth-conscious gal to whoever is reading: That part BITES. The main reason this place sucks is that they charged him $50 for a legitimately-timed, kind cancellation. He told them on the phone he was planning to propose to me and so he needed the money (an EXORBITANT amount, like I said) to help him cover dinner. Without more than one word the woman on the phone said "ok" and hung up. He didn't get a courtesy "aww" but even worse was the customer service: an "ok" and a hang up? Not even a "may I reschedule for you?" or a "what day would be more convenient for you?" That's right, you reel us in like fish with your fancy paperwork and your promises. Then you gut us for 50 bucks. According to the invoices we now keep getting: the reason for the charge? He canceled. Period! Unbelievable. Needless to say he's not paying it and he's never stepping foot in the place. (His decision, not mine, I know what you're thinking: she wears the pants :-P but I do happen to agree, haha) read more

I responded to a new patient special a little over a year ago, which included cleaning, exam and X-rays. The hygienist was thorough and did a nice job cleaning my teeth. However, I was inundated with sales pitches for all kinds of products which was a bit uncomfortable for me to say the least. The dentist even recommended Invisalign for me (even though I'd already had braces!). I was feeling pretty good about my smile up until that point. Given that I'm extremely busy and thought the cleaning was efficient, I figured I would stick with them for awhile. What followed when trying to schedule another cleaning is comical. Various staff members would email available times, I'd respond back only to be told that the time had been taken (even if I responded an hour later). I called to book an appointment, but left a message after no one answered the phone. Again, I was emailed a time in response and quickly replied to confirm I never heard back, so I assumed it was all set (my mistake!). A few days later, a different staff member emailed to ask if I wanted to schedule an appointment. I let her know that I was already booked and forwarded correspondence from the previous staff member. Wouldn't you know it? That time was already taken (not by me). This nonsense continued until I stopped emailing back. Fast forward to this past Friday, when I get an email asking if I'd like to book an appointment for a cleaning (I'd been seriously neglecting my teeth, so I figured I'd give it one more shot). I told the staff member Monday and Friday mornings before noon were best for me. She emailed this morning with an offer of Friday morning at 10 am. I got back to her a little over an hour later and...WAIT FOR IT....the appointment was already taken!!! I'm sure you get the idea. In closing, I can't really comment on efficiency of any particular dental treatments but the lunacy of the appointment handlers and sales pressure is what I'm basing the 2 star review on. read more

I found him the best dentist in MA, who deserves Nobel Prize for his outstanding professionalism, his skills and the way he treated me all those years. I have been a patient of DSD for just over 5 years (maybe a tad longer). I had a previous dentist that I felt after many years was not keeping up with the improved ways of dentistry. I did some research and found this office. My first appointment was with the hygienist. Courtney did a complete history before any exam took place. She asked me if I had any concerns. My cleaning was excellent. With a thorough explanation on the areas I needed to focus on. My appointment with Dr. Schwartman. I LOVE THIS WOMAN!! Needless to say after years of a filling here and there I wanted to explore a smile I was proud of. I went over my concerns and what I wanted to accomplish. She gave me all my options. We had a very good dialogue on my treatment plan and what impressed me even more is SHE took the time to go over cost. It wasn't "I have no idea, talk to billing". She took the time and broke down each charge on each tooth. What the insurance would cover and what my out of pocket would be. I was fully informed so I could make an educated decision. The work I had done is top notch! I have had many compliments on my smile and not one person is aware of the restoration I had done. My smile is natural and perfect for my features. Every day when I look in the mirror I am confident and so pleased with the results. Something as important as my smile gave me the confidence to further my career, be more confident in each days interactions with people, and finally the ability to smile and not worry about which filling someone may see. Dr. Schwartman's style is strong and confident. She knows what she is talking about. The office staff are all professional and helpful. I have never had an issue getting an appointment. I love the email appointment reminders. How wonderful is it to get an email and an easy way to confirm my appointments instead of the missed phone call and having to call back to confirm. Dream Smile Dental literally lives up to its name. It is dreamy. What they do for my own teeth is terrific, but the majority of my experience and source of deep appreciation for their expertise and professionalism comes through my three children - all of whom have their braces done by Dream Smile. Let's face it, nobody likes to have their teeth worked on much less covered in metal and then adjusted and tightened multiple times a year. But the staff at Dream Smile seems to handle this with extreme care and patience, to the point where even my 9 year old doesn't mind the trip. This review is extremely over due. I only recently started coming to Dream Smile Dental after I needed to find a new hygienist about 7 months ago. The reviews online made me feel comfortable so I made an appointment. I have had horrible dentist history. My mouth has always been a sensitive spot for me physically and emotionally and I am very hesitant to trust anyone. Stacey was out of this world. She listened to exactly what I had to say and took into consideration how sensitive my mouth was. She checked in on me every step of the way to make sure I was comfortable. I will continue to go to her no questions asked. NOW the even BETTER part- Invisalign. I will just give you the shortest back story I can. I had metal braces when I was a teenager and my teeth came out alright. My bite was edge to edge where my top teeth touched my bottom teeth. Speed up 5 years and my retainer doesn't fit in college so I stop wearing it, another 3 years later and I have a full on under bite. Within those 10 years ( I am 25 and my braces came off at 15) I went to see 3 orthodontists and 5 different cosmetic dentists. Every one of those doctors either said they could not help me or I would need at least 2 years of full metal braces. One doctor said I had sleep apnea !? Another told me I needed jaw surgery and then full metal braces again. As a young woman starting a career in sales the last thing I wanted was to do any of the above. In comes the magnificent Dr. Shwartzman. Right away she was honest and said she didn't know if I would be a candidate but she would try- and that's one step no doctor has ever done for me. Dr. Shwartman and Tracy ( I believe is her name) brainstormed and thought of alternative ways to handle my treatment. They gave me small little bumpers in my teeth so the Invisalign could correct my bite. I am now over halfway done with my treatment that I started in late October ( I am doing Acceledent which I STRONGLY recommend). Every single person in that office treats you like gold. It doesn't matter whose helping you, showing you to a room, greeting you, every person is great. It means so much to me to finally get the treatment I have wanted for so long and they have made the process so easy and painless for me. Treatment is worth every penny. I have been going to Dream Smile Dental ever since I got married and moved to Canton, back in 2005. They are absolutely the best! The staff is amazing. This place is not your average dental office. I have been a patient for 5 years there and will never go any where else. For starters, its always nice to begin your visit to the dentist with an espresso or cappuccino in the waiting room and play some nintendo wii... and if I didn't show up late to almost every one of my appointments I'd take full advantage of that every time. The girls at the front desk are very friendly and helpful. They always work around my schedule and remind me ahead of time of when I'm supposed to be there. Dr. Shwartzman & Dr. Ronkin are great at explaining about your entire oral health rather than just check you for cavities and hand you a disposable toothbrush. It's crazy how certain issues with your teeth, jaw, gums, and throat impact aspects of your life and have direct affect on the rest of your body. At Dream Smile it's very obvious from your first time in the chair that their office is using the most up-to-date equipment there is. Every time I am there they give me a quick oral cancer screening with some kind of light/laser contraption that is beyond my comprehension. I highly recommend Dream Smile to anyone close or far to Canton. My dad goes there now (after my great recommendation) and he drives a good hour to get there because he loves the service so much.
