They have a team of family-oriented caregivers who lovingly see to the needs of our mother. Our mother requires someone to prepare her meals, help her with personal hygiene, getting dressed, walking, getting out of bed and up from the chair. To my surprise, the staff at Our Countryside Resort made the transition practically seamless. Starting with the first call I made to the facility inquiring about the care, to the first visit I paid to my dad after he moved in, the staff has been incredibly supportive and kind. These people genuinely care about the residents. From the personal engagement to the top-notch care, the staff demonstrates love and compassion with everything they do. They treat their residents with dignity and respect as if they were their own family member. For the first week my dad was in the facility, I called several times a day to see how he was doing. The staff was very friendly and never made me feel like I was burdening them by calling. The rooms are comfortable and clean as is the facility. There are ample opportunities for the residents to socialize, lots of daily activities, animals to spend time with in the backyard (my dad's personal favorite) and the food is good! Now that my dad resides in this facility I can rest calmly at night knowing that he is safe, clean, well taken care of and most importantly, happy! The Villa Anne is a truly clean home and well‑maintained every time I visited. I was always greeted warmly by the two caregivers, and sometimes by Robert and/or Stephanie , the owners, as well. I felt the caregivers and the owners were attentive, compassionate, and very aware of each resident's needs. They also made a point to communicate with our family and accommodate anything my mother needed. Although my mother was only there for about four months before she passed, I felt the quality of care she received was excellent. She never once complained, and I appreciated the consistency and routine they provided each day. I would visit my father at least twice a week and check him out for the day at least once a week. They always had him ready to go. I was often amazed on how easily they could work with him and honestly to get him to do things that I could not. I had my father in several other facilities, and the care was nowhere near what Everlast provided. Within a couple weeks, I knew I found a great place for Dad. Communication and recommendations, Brett was always on top of it. Something didn't look or feel right, we were talking. Brett always had suggestions on how to make it better. Things like compression socks, additional padding for the bed, creams, lotions, and powder for his feet. My father was also on Hospice for 2 years, and their incredible expertise on how to schedule and help me navigate with Hospice was amazing. The facility, always clean, well maintained and in a peaceful neighborhood. I especially liked the layout and how easy it was for seniors to move around. Unlike most facilities, when I would visit, other residents would be in the front room, living room, or kitchen table being interactive with each other, or the care givers. Unfortunately, all good things do come to an end, but the loving and care did not stop. I invited them to my father's Celebration of Life, which they happily attended. Every staff member knows my dad by name (as well as my mom and me!) and cares for him with such great respect and kindness. There are so many activities in a range of abilities, so every day there are things to do to engage with people. My dad says his favorite thing is the food! He has gone from having just a donut for breakfast to having scrambled eggs, pancakes, bacon, and juice--every day! The food choices are always amazing, and in one month, there has never been a day he has been disappointed with the options. Plus, he has met new friends he sits with at meals. In the hall one day, I met a woman and her dad who were taking a tour. She said they were looking for a place with "food and friends." THIS is the place! I cannot recommend Estancia del Sol enough!
