And, I don't mean covered over with some other fragrance, I mean fresh! They keep this place spotless! My first contact was with Charlie. He handled the writing of the contract. Charlie was so calm handling our business. He was like talking to a good friend. Next, we met Michelle, their head nurse. She was like talking to a sister. Michelle did the initial assessment for my mother's level of care and she was spot on. Michelle was so genuinely caring. We met the director, Megan, she was like an Auntie. The caregivers like Rosie and Taye, absolute angels to my mother. Rosie in particular cared for my mother so well. She was the only person that my mother let bath her! The Med Tech Rita, VERY experienced and super friendly and caring and so many others treated us like just part of their big family, I really mean that! I knew, this was the place for my 94 year old mother to enjoy the final years of her life. Every employee that serves here has a heart for the residents. They behave like they want to be here. The receptionists at the front desk and the servers in the dinning area, everyone is a part of this close nit family of caregivers. If you are looking for a place where you can truly trust that your loved one will be cared for as you would in your home, Citrus Place has the caring people that will do just that! My name is Bruce and I am my mother's son.

I would like to offer my assessment of Sunrise Senior Living here in Riverside. I speak with a good…read moreamount of experience since over the years Sunrise has provided care to, not one, not two, but three of my family members: father, mother and sister. The first was my father, who was admitted shortly after suffering a TIA. When Amy came out to the skilled nursing facility where he was recovering to interview him, he was understandably apprehensive but her professional presentation helped calm his fears. The registration and orientation process with Mary went smoothly and all our questions were addressed clearly. On his arrival at Sunrise, he was greeted at the door by three of the most compassionate caregivers you could imagine, and they patiently helped my father transition to his new accommodations. Throughout his stay, approximately one year till his passing, he was always afforded the attention he needed. I recall on one occasion when he needed a meeting with a couple of his old business associates, Sunrise reserved a private room for their use, complete with refreshments. It was a small gesture of respect but one that was appreciated. The scheduled physical activities sessions were great and my participation was encouraged. On the night my father suddenly took a turn for the worse and was taken to the hospital for the last time, the staff on duty helped me through the decision to call 911. In the case of my mother, she actually had two stays, once when she was recovering from a broken wrist after a fall at home and secondly when she was recovering from two shattered legs suffered due to negligence at, of all places, a skilled nursing facility here in Riverside, from which she never recovered. During her relatively short stay till her passing, Sunrise provided the upgraded level of care she required. In the case of my sister, she too was admitted to Sunrise, around the same time as my mother, for her own health issues which resulted in her passing 14 months after her mother. In fact, for a while, Sunrise accommodated both mother and sister in the same room at my request. The nurses on site always afforded my sister with an extra level of care, especially since she suffered from Multiple Sclerosis and other comorbidities. As with my parents, they were always available to me for consultations and recommendations. In addition, since my sister had frequent need of off-site medical appointments, the caregivers were always ready to aid in her preparation prior to her transport. Many of the same caregivers, nurses and staff who had worked with my father during his stay and were still there a few years later and so felt a certain special bond with my mother and sister as well. To this day I still maintain contact with some of them. The staff at Sunrise had always provided exemplary support for my family at critical times for which I am forever grateful. It's hard to imagine how I could have managed without them.

My childhood friend was a victim of the Eaton fire in Pasadena and had to be relocated to other assisted living facilities. Her alternative accommodation was a large institutional type of facility. She wasn't at all happy about the overall care and responsiveness, and wanted to be relocated elsewhere, preferably to her hometown of Riverside, CA. I explored several options for her checking with friends' recommendations and using my own experience with three family members. I found Rosemont Villa to be perfect placement situation for her. It is not a "nursing home institutional" model. It is a lovely warm, welcoming home environment, smaller and much more personal in nature. My friend has mobility issues but is still able to articulate and assess her level of care. She is very happy here. She is impressed that the care givers are so attentive to the different needs of their various patients/residents. I highly recommend Rosemont Villa for their loved ones. You can't go wrong.

We visited on a holiday and we had a hard time getting onto the property, but I'm taking that as a good sign that it will keep any riff raff off of the property as well. Cal Oaks Senior Living is the worst place, if you love your family member, do NOT TAKE THEM HERE. Not just that they put a married couple in a SINGLES ROOM, and are taking money from both. When I tried to talk to AMY all she does is yell and it is only a matter of time before they are shut down, from ELDER ADULT abuse, to cockroaches to neglect. If I could leave ZERO STARS, I would. This place and staff are just a building with rooms and they do not care about the person only the persons money. RUN is my advice

DO NOT entrust Savant of Jurupa Valley with the wellbeing of your loved ones…read more My parents were residents at Savant for 5 months beginning January 2026. Both parents are in wheelchairs and need a high degree of assistance. Before moving in, Savant evaluated each to determine Individualized Care Plans, which Savant determined to be at the highest levels. That alone should have guaranteed they would have adequate care and be safe. My first indication of potential problems was finding rodent tape under the bathroom sink. By week two, I noticed a urine smell when I walked into the apartment due to several unbagged soiled diapers in various waste baskets. A few days later I found soiled linens and clothes mixed with regular laundry. There were numerous incidents of wet towels being left on the bathroom floor, on top of the sink, and on dressers. The shower and toilet were rarely left clean. These are all violations of the California Residential Care Facilities Code of Regulations, Title 22. Our contract included extensive hands-on support, they should have been safe. Instead, they had multiple "assisted falls" with two falls leading to emergency room visits. After one of the falls, my father told the emergency room doctor that the person with him during a transfer from his bed to a chair, told him "You can do it yourself". After each incident, I immediately alerted and discussed the situation with management, who in the beginning apologized and assured me that they would be providing additional training and further communication with the care team. I repeatedly asked if there was something I could do or provide to ensure the incidents would no longer occur. The problems continued and one to two times per week I sent photos of soiled diapers, linens and clothes, as well as wet towels and unmade beds to the management team. Eventually, management stopped responding to my concerns. Management told me several times that they were short staffed. Being short-staffed is never a residents' concern and is not an excuse. Staff shortages are instead caused by mismanagement and should be addressed immediately by additional hires and scheduling oversight. Considering the cost of living in an Assisted Living Community, it's hard to believe staff shortages are a monetary issue. The need to move my parents out of Savant at Jurupa Valley was apparent when I was told by management that staff was having "care burnout" due to the families' concerns and that "the family needed to lower our expectations of care". Savant at Jurupa Valley isn't a community that should be trusted with the care of your loved ones.
