My father, who is 91 years old and living with dementia, has been a resident at Ohana Excellence Assisted Living in Corona since January 2026. Our family could not be more grateful for the exceptional care, compassion, and attention he has received. Before making this important decision, our family conducted extensive research. We called more than a dozen assisted living and memory care facilities and personally toured six different communities within approximately 15 miles of Corona. We carefully evaluated facilities ranging from large corporate-operated communities to smaller residential care homes. After all of our research and visits, we chose Ohana Assisted Living--and we are absolutely happy with our decision. Finding the right home for a loved one with dementia is one of the most difficult choices a family can make. From the moment my father arrived, the staff at Ohana made him feel safe, respected, and genuinely cared for. They treat him with dignity, patience, and kindness every day. The caregivers are attentive to his individual needs and have done an outstanding job managing the challenges associated with dementia while helping him maintain the highest possible quality of life. They communicate well with our family, keep us informed, and consistently demonstrate a level of professionalism and compassion that gives us tremendous peace of mind. What also sets Ohana apart is the owner and manager. In many facilities, management can feel removed from the day-to-day care of residents, but that has not been our experience at Ohana. The owner is every bit as caring, compassionate, and involved as the caregivers themselves. Her knowledge and expertise in dementia care are evident in everything from the way residents are cared for to the guidance and reassurance she provides to families. Knowing that someone with a strong dementia care background is overseeing the community gives us an additional level of confidence and comfort. Another thing we greatly appreciate is the effort Ohana makes to create a true sense of community and family. They celebrate residents' birthdays and major holidays throughout the year and often invite family members and friends to participate. These gatherings create meaningful moments for residents and their loved ones and help maintain important family connections. It is clear that Ohana understands that quality of life is about much more than just meeting physical needs--it is about creating joy, dignity, and a sense of belonging. What stands out most is that everyone at Ohana truly cares about the residents as people, not just patients. The environment feels warm, welcoming, and family-oriented. We have always felt that our father is treated as a member of their extended family rather than simply a resident. After nearly six months at Ohana, we remain extremely pleased with our choice and would make the same decision again without hesitation. Placed my 91 year old grandmother here about 3 months ago. The staff has been absolutely wonderful to her and love that they have a wake night staff The home is kept up and it is very aesthetically put together The garden in the back is very calming and my grandma loves to hang out in the back and relax I am so happy I found this place for her ! The best by far! My father is there. It's a wonderful family like environment. The care provided is top notch and very personalized. I love the owner and the caregivers. I'm beyond happy that I found this wonderful place for my dad. Since it only accommodates 6 residents at a time, they receive incredible care and attention 24/7. Meals are home cooked and loved by my dad. I have great relief and confidence to know that he is so well taken care of. I highly recommend that you visit and see for yourself. I cannot say enough good things about Ohana. My mom has been there a little less than a year and has received the best care you could ever hope for! I have absolutely no concerns or worries with her living there. She has dementia and all her needs are met beyond every expectation. The home is always very clean and cheery. Ohana Excellence was everything you could hope and pray to find for your loved one in need of assisted or full care in their golden years. They cared for my mom as if she were a beloved family member and were patient and kind in all interactions. She was mostly bedridden and dependent upon assistance for grooming and bathing and was always clean and in fresh clothing when I visited. There were some difficult times that the caregivers and administrator handled with exceptional understanding: Mom, having advanced Parkinson's plus her recent pelvic fracture that took her from her home of 60 years to emergency rooms to skilled nursing and ultimately to Ohana, could be challenging but the kindness never wavered. The level of care my mom received in this beautiful, home-like environment was everything I had hoped for when choosing Ohana. Additionally, Oana was a blessing that treats all of her residences with dignity and warmth, and kept me apprised of every change, concern, or positive moments throughout mom's stay. She was also mom's advocate as hospice liason, making certain we were all in complete accord with the expectations, management and continuity of care. I highly recommend Ohana Excellence and am grateful for the compassion and empathy that my mom received from them throughout every step of her final journey. read more
