Sarah and her ponies were PERFECT!!! She was super accommodating, helpful in explaining what options were available and breaking down the costs. It was fantastic and a birthday that will never be forgotten. The ponies were absolutey adorable (one was a rainbow pegasus and the other a hot pink unicorn) and our daughter was beside herself with happiness. We had about 45 guests and everybody was so happy and couldnt quit talking about it. It rained but all was well-what kid notices rain when their on these cute lil guys? I've just come across this lady's response to my legitimate review. As a result Im going to add the background which unfortunately highlights this woman as not only a sketchy trader but also her integrity issue. I responded to a craigslist ad after finding a listing for a childrens pony. The ad was very specific that this was an adorable trustworthy friendly pony. When I arrived the lady had a paddock full of ponies on tethers, and had a camper for herself. She had the pony I was to look at on a lunge lead and said she would just lunge him for a while (I was a little early). While on the lunge the pony kicked, bucked, reared and carried on very poorly. Clearly not suitable for a pony party business, which is fine, but that's not what she advertised and I certainly wasn't putting my 4yo on it. She actually tried to tell me that was normal behavior. We chatted for a while and I noticed a very cute blue roan pony tethered nearby and mentioned him, the lady said he was also for sale. I said I probably wasn't interested in the listed pony but could we look at the blue. Then followed an interesting staging that I didn't recognize until afterward: she had me get involved with holding the pony while saddling and he was super cute and gentle, curious and not pushy, and very calm. I liked him straight away. He was a little narrow in the chest but given we essentially wanted a gentle pony and my daughter was small I didn't feel it was an issue. I noticed his halter was on a little tight and thought that this woman was simply inexperienced: ill fitting gear, didn't understand her listed pony wasn't ok for kids etc but did think all the ponies were definitely well fed so figured she was well meaning. I was in essence trying to cut her a break. She took us for a little walk on the pony and had me walk beside them to support my daughter if need, which I agreed to. When the pony suddenly stopped she made like the ride was over, and given we had been there a while now (after the first failed pony) I figured we had taken enough of her time. I looked over the pony while he was standing there, his legs looked clean with no swelling etc and he seemed in good shape. She had someone else arrive to see the first pony (uh oh) so I left her to it. I later called and said I would take the blue roan. She trailered him over and when he came out of the trailer he did so jumping out on four legs straight. She laughed and said he was still young etc. She then said she would follow me, so i led the way. We put the pony in the stall where he just stood and nibbled some hay. She left, making me sign a receipt that had in big underlined letters AS IS. I thought that strange but wasn't concerned. She drove off and we went to cuddle our new toy. Within a few minutes of letting him out of the stall (I took off the halter she had left him with as it was clearly too small and under it was a red raw pressure sore across his nose, which I photographed, but I digress) we noticed his hind legs would lock up. We called her. She said there was nothing wrong with him. I explained thoroughly. She said he hadn't done that in ages. We videod him: he couldn't walk 10 steps without locking up and dragging a rear leg. I couldn't believe how well she had prevented me from seeing it. If you were leading him he would sometimes lock up and just stop, which is what he had done that day and she hadn't' said a word. She refused to acknowledge he was lame, and said she would only provide a refund if we could get a vet's report. We did for a few hundred dollars. The vet said it was the worst case of locking stifle she had ever seen, and not only that but it appeared that he had had numerous injections given how sensitive he was when you went to hold his leg. The owner then told me that I should try fixing it myself etc etc and I said I couldn't take that on. She then stopped returning my calls. The police were involved and she agreed to refund me half the money, but then disappeared. A few months later when I looking for another horse I ran into a lady who was selling a warmblood mare, and when I got there I queried it. She said she was papered but the lady who had sold her hadn't gotten them to her, and she had later found out the mare was from a local auction. After several discussions I discovered it was the same lady who sold me my pony. Its not my story to tell but the tale of deceit she told me made me feel I hadn't just been naive: this lady was experienced in being deceitful and did it well. So to clarify, I am not a competitor, I was a genuine customer, and this lady did indeed sell ponies. The fact that she got online to deny she had sold me a pony is outrageous. She may act sweet but she is all about the money. read more

It's truly a joy to watch people's (young & old) positively / happy reactions to the ponies. After too much pressure from my 8 year old daughter, I finally broke down and hired Dreamland Ponies to put on a pony party for her birthday. It was AMAZING!! Sarah brought out two glistening white, chubby little ponies (one was Pegasus and one was a unicorn). They even had wings!! Needless to say, the little girls at the party were overwhelmed and my daughter still hasn't stopped talking about it. Sarah was wonderful and so patient with all those noisy little girls.
