Man oh man do I recommend this place. Parking hasn't been an issue for me I sometimes take a uber in but most of the time paid parking is available. The place has such a warm welcoming atmosphere. Can you say zen? I love that you are taken to the lounge area to relax before they take you to the massage room and then again after the massage for either tea or water. Everything about this place is amazing. They have spa items for sell at the front. I highly recommend to get a shower mist. I bought the eucalyptus spray and it smells devine. Prices are on the higher end but why put a price on what makes you feel good ;). I've given this place many tries over the years. Some times have been good, others not so much. It always depended on which masseuse I was assigned. After a not-so-great experience last year, I decided to give it another shot and booked a Luminous Blend. My masseuse was very friendly, but gave minor focus on the areas I asked extra work on. My facialist was also very nice but the experience was less than calming when she kept needing to cough throughout the process. However, the reason I've decided to no longer visit was at the end of my appointment. I was walking towards the restroom and the door was unlocked and open. There was a worker inside using the toilet, so I apologized for almost walking in. Then she flushed and walked out without washing her hands..... I was 5 minutes late and my masseuse Elaine told me if I upgraded the massage, she would still give the whole hour, but then after spending time grabbing the upgraded materials she changed her answer and said she would only be working on me for 45 minutes - essentially ripping me off after she got the upgrade out me. It was high pressure and deceptive. When asking for a manager to clear this up, I was told the manager was up front. After going to the lobby in my underware, the manager asked Elaine to get me a robe, and she did not do so. I was left exposed, frustrated, and incredibly vulnerable as I tried to explain how their employee attempted to bait and switch me. It was such a terrible experience! read more

I had the worst and most offensive experience I've ever had with a massage business today. The massuse, Elaine, rushed me into the room, started upselling services saying that she "couldn't do" my original sweedish massage service because I was "too large" and it would be "too difficult". Essentially either trying to body shame me into paying for a deeper massage or admitting to being incapable of her job! I'm only a 200lb adult, and she kept saying she wouldn't be able to do anything for me and the massage wouldn't be worth it if I didn't upgrade. When calling to speak with the owner Dee about an interaction with one of her employees, she told me that she's always aware of what happens because there are audio and visual recordings of everything that happens inside of her business and that she could pull up these videos on demand. It completely caught me by surprise because this is EXTREMELY invasive, and I can't imagine ever having a relaxing time knowing I'm on camera in such a vulnerable/unclothed state. Absolutely unacceptable for the owner to proudly proclaim that as if it's somehow a good thing to record her customers at every moment! And to have the videos saved?! My first time coming here and I had a lovely experience! I booked a 60min couples massage which came with mimosas/peach bellini. I recommend getting the $10 deep tissue add-on, it definitely enhanced our experience. I also got the $35 lavender cbd oil add-on which helped me relax during the massage, and it smelt really good. I have driven by this place for many years and finally I made an appointment for my teen son and I to get facials. He got his first profesional acne facial. I was kind of worried that he would not have a good experience after getting extractions as we all know that they can be painful. But this was not the case, when I saw him after his facial he said he enjoyed it and wants to return for another appointment. I appreciate Sonia showing my son how to take care of his skin and recommending products to help him with his sensitive skin. As for me, I had the Luminous Mini which was perfect for me! It came with a mini facial, a mini back massage and a mini foot rub. I added extraction removal and so glad I did, . Tao did a great job and I enjoyed chatting ( quietly ) with her. Living out in DC area, there's not a lot of options for massages and I don't mind making the short drive to SSF for Luminous! I love how close they are and that I can text for an appointment. They're generally pretty accommodating for last minute appointments (which is where I come in). I think on weekends they give out mimosas (I'm not sure about weekdays but I don't think I've gotten it on a weekday). I love their CBD massage - my body feels like jello right after. Their pricing is fair and super reasonable for the area. Their spa is clean and cozy and all their staff is so wonderful. This is my go-to when I need a midweek pick me up! read more

We attended a bridal spa day here. They were quite a bit disorganized and we have 13 people and they mixed peoples services. The one massaging my mother was falling asleep while massaging her and it was suppose to be 90minutes and it was barely an hour. She also didn't massage her head and feet... very different experience. The rest of the staff was friendly. They were annoyed we were taking photos and kept giving eachother side eye and huff n puff. This visit was a couples massage, so I could hear my mom lightly snoring in the other area of the room I had Thao, who was absolutely amazing. That little lady has so much strength to work through my body & I left feeling so extremely thankful for her. My mom had Vivian, and she said the same thing. Loved everything she did, and would not stop talking about how good she felt after. It was a nice way to unwind during the workweek. You can leave tips with the masseuses or at the front in a little tip envelope, which is what we did. They also have lockers available. She leads us to lobby, which is very dim with a calm and relax feeling. We had a couples massage. We imagined we would be in one room and next to each other. Remember it's our first time. In reality, it's 2 separate rooms with a door opened in between. We couldn't hear their names. I conversed a little bit with my massage therapist(? I don't know what their title is. I don't know if they went to massage school or not). My husband said his massage therapist didn't speak at all and he preferred that. I personally like conversation. Came here for my sister's birthday, I decided to pamper her and my self since I was paying. The staff was excellent. So nice and knowledgeable about every pain or question I had. When I called to book the receptionist was extremely nice, she looked at both locations for date and time. My phone was giving me problems since I was in a not great service spot and she waited until I could walk to a better spot. I got reminders for our appointment, we got there early and the staff was sweet in letting us get comfortable while we waited for our turn. I finally got to use a gift certificate for Luminous Day Spa from my daughter. Making an appointment was pretty straightforward and I was able to book a facial on the weekend. The place looks very chill, and there is a nice little sitting area towards the back after you check in. I got a nice facial which was very relaxing. It is a bit weird seeing the exposed ceiling when lying in the treatment table, but your eyes are closed most of the time anyway so it's no big deal. Next time I need a facial I'm going to book Luminous again. read more
