Drew's has become our local go to donut shop. The donuts are fresh and delicious!! The long John's are soft, fluffy, and topped with the perfect amount of icing. The apple fritters are sweet and slightly crunchy on the outside with that soft cinnamon apple flavor inside. The glazed and jelly are the perfect standard. I haven't had a bad donut there. We even ordered 2 dozen of their Super Bowl donuts and they were the hit of the parties we attended. I am a donut purest and Drew's does them right. I don't need or want stuff piled on top to make them fancy- give me a great regular donut any day and Drew's definitely does that very well!! read more

I didn't grow up in this area, but have lived in the general vicinity for 40+ years. Throughout those four decades, I have searched for the perfect chocolate cake donut of my youth. Yet, I have failed to find those delectable fried treats that seemed to have only existed in some hazy, rose-tinted memory. That is, until today when I just happened to stumble upon Drew's Donuts! It was about 9:30, so perhaps "late" for a real donut shop that opens at 4:30 am. And, there was only one case left with donuts on display. So, my expectations were sort of low. The chocolate cake donuts looked good, but I've been fooled and disappointed more times than I can count. Every single time, all I taste is the foul oil in which the donut is cooked...not even a hint of chocolate cake. But, I chose one all the same, along with a cup of coffee (and I thought I'd try both a lemon and a raspberry filled to take home). I made it to the car, opened the box, and took a whiff. Mmmm! No oil smell at all! Then, I took a bite of the chocolate cake...pure bliss...my youth relived! I was in donut heaven! So, be prepared...the place doesn't look like much and the coffee is just so-so (get a cup at QT before you hit this place), but the donuts are simply outstanding! Thank you for such excellence! Really like their Kolaches. Donuts are good though selection isn't as big as some places and their selection tends to run low later in the morning. The new owners changed the recipe. They used to be the best donuts I ever had, but now they're as bad as gas stations donuts. I suggested bringing back the old recipe (more than once) on social media and the new owner blocked me and deleted my comments. I've referred so many people to this place when Ken owned it, but this new guy has ruined the place. Wow! Is really all I can say about these donuts. We got there a little after 10 on a Saturday morning and they were just taking the long johns out of the fryer. They were warm and there was chocolate melted in them. Amazing. This place has history that you can just feel. Place was clean. People were nice. Donuts were amazing. We got fritters and the donut holes also. Both good. They are a bit pricey. We paid $8.00 for half a dozen donuts and some donut holes. I personally think it was worth it because they are good but just be prepared to pay a little more than your chain places. They were also out of a lot of donuts. I have heard such good things about the bear claws and I really wanted to try one. They were out already by 10:15. We will go back... Got to get one of those bear claws!! read more

It's worth getting up at 4AM and being there at 4:30AM to grab some fritters or any donut with cinnamon. My daughter loves custard filled and she loves sprinkles. Just ask and they will add sprinkles to a custard donut. Oh, and the Long John donuts are the best you will ever have. I couldn't recommend this donuts shop any more. If there is a line, just wait and it's worth it. If they are out of what you were wanting take it as an opportunity to try something new! Great friendly staff too! read more

I love Drew's Donut Stop for their products. They have some of the best donut products I have ever consumed. They are the same as The Donut Stop in Lemay (Lemay Ferry Rd. and Telegraph). My only complaint is that I have stopped by three times in the last 2 months, during open business hours, and have found them closed. This is the only reason I give them 4 stars instead of 5. All three of these visits were on Wednesdays at roughly 8 AM. read more

We drive out of our way and pass up Several donut shops to get to Drew's Donuts! They have the good old fashion donuts you expect from a Donut Shop. Don't expect a fancy inside, there is no place to sit but you can see the donuts being made. I'd love to see them add a coffee bar with stools. read more
