I walked into Driftwood Lounge expecting a full on dive bar experience, and they delivered. This is not the place to go if you are looking for mood lighting, artisanal coasters, or a bartender who calls you "sir" unironically. And honestly it works. The locals greeted me like I'd just come back from a long trip instead of walking in for the first time. Either they're incredibly friendly or they thought I needed supervision. Either way, solid welcome. Service was minimal in the best possible way. No hovering, life story, or unnecessary check-ins. Just quick, friendly, and efficient, like they understood I came to eat, not start a long term relationship. Now here's where things take a turn: the food has no business being this good. I ordered the Southside Supreme Pizza, and I'm still trying to figure out how a place that looks like it could host a darts league championship is casually putting out world class pizza. I've had pizza from all over the world and this place can hold its own. Thin, perfectly crispy crust, fresh ingredients, and enough cheese to make you question your priorities but not your choices. It's like the pizza didn't get the memo about where it was being served. So yeah, I give it 5 stars. Come for the dive bar charm, stay because the food quietly outperforms half of the "fancy" places that make you wait 45 minutes for a table and then serve you a disappointment on a wooden board. We had a great time at Driftwood Lounge. Sidney was very attentive and the owner was so friendly. They made you feel at home right away. Great drinks and the ribeyes were one of the best we have ever had. Not fancy, but great people and even better food. We would definitely recommend this place as a must stop when you're in Paducah. Don't let this bar fool you. It's a laid-back bar and my brother and sister wanted to go somewhere else. I said no It has a 4.9 rating and we were staying. Three of us had their large ribeye. Two were medium rare and one was medium. They were all cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious!!! My sister had the stir-fry with salmon and egg-roll. She said was delicious too! Only reason for my three stars is because I went there during the day and ate food. It was really good but when I came back that night to drink at the bar, they said I had to have a ticket to get in. Do not judge this place by the way it looks. When you walk in it has an outdoor area that looks nice. It was chilly and they had a fire pit going. When we walked into the bar, we had to ask if they served food and boy do they. Thursday is steak night and for the price of $26 you get a 9oz ribeye cooked perfectly along with a salad and baked potato. All fantastic. My wife had the pork steak and it was fantastic. I found this gem by locals bragging about the food and atmosphere. Me being a hard one to please, I decided to go check this out. The Staff was super friendly when I arrived. Now before I got there I was told their Steaks are close to legendary, so I had to try one. The owner went to the back to hand carve it. I've eaten Steaks all over this great country, I am telling you this is one of the Best steaks I ever put in my mouth! After reading the few reviews, we decided to give this place a try. The parking lot made it look packed, and we almost chose to go somewhere else. We decided to give it a try anyway. We were greeted quickly, served almost immediately, and everyone was so dang nice. We ordered the ribeye and cream corn. It was SO good. We met lots of locals and chatted about the food. They recommended the ribeye, the stew (which was on special when we were there), the French dip, and the pizza. On Thursdays there's a steak special that we would absolutely come back for if we could. If you're in the area, definitely give this place a try! read more
