We went to T. Lawson's Grill for dinner Friday night. While there we were favored by a visit, a chat and a photo op with a Grand Rivers icon, Chip Tullar. How remarkable it is, that in a town with a population of less than 500, you can enjoy world class cuisine in a fun setting. The food was epic and the company was great. The dish pictured is Halibut with succotash sauce (That fish was swimming in icy Alaskan water no more than 3 days ago). A night out with family couldn't have been more special

My date treated me to a tomahawk lunch. Patti's was crowded so TLawsons was second best. Or very many choices but the dishes are creates by the chef. Food was decent. The staff must have enjoyed my date because they were extra attentive . May try again.

Waiting for a reservation at Patti's and came here for a drink.... And VERY GLAD I DID! This place is awesome and has a great menu. Patti's was of course great but next time I'm in town I'm gonna eat here. The bar tender was extremely friendly and talked about the history of the bar and Mr. Lawson. So much history packed into such a small town. This is just a really cool bar and grill with awesome menu options. A must visit when in the area. I'll be back!

Okay, you must get the pretzel and cheese! And make sure you save any remaining cheese for your fries! So so good. I had a burger, which was decent. Beer selection wasn't great but I love a good blue moon!

    Ad for wing special.

Stopped by this evening shortly after opened to get a carryout of wings. Advertised on site for $1 wings. We are camping at canal and opted to take back and watch the evening lake views. My husband went in and ordered(phone number only gives restaurant info and doesn't answer for orders). Got our order of two 12 pc wings plain and was presented bill for $18 for each order! He questioned and said the website shows $1 wings! Was informed this is only for dine in orders. Nowhere in the ad did it mention this. Nowhere. Another gentlemen walked in under same assumption of $1 wings and was doing a carryout order. He said same thing: does not say this in ad. The response to him and my husband was oh well, it's only dine in. Rude. Points to consider: if only dine in, put that in the ad. And answer your phone calls instead of saying will see you at the homestead. And, carryout orders only require putting order together and collecting money. No waitress, dishes, tables, etc. Less labor intensive, less cost. We had our wings, pd the cost, they did taste good, but the experience getting them was less than desirable. Rethink your policy. And I hope management reads this and acts. For many people take out is necessary. For me, I avoid crowds due to very low immunity from 23 rounds of chemo, which is unending. For many, other health issues make it a challenge. Or work, childcare issues, schedules. Be glad people still want your food. Be gracious.

We was so excited about coming here it was a really big let down. My wife picked a cheeseburger with tots. While I went with the house special for the day a burger with bacon onion straws and special sauce I choose Mac n cheese as my side (it was cold). The best thing we got was the pretzel with cheese it was great and really large. They only do carry out at this time but plenty of seats outside restaurant. They are a Military friendly location.

Hit and miss food and drinks (including the worst $13 alcoholic drink I can recall), but nice outdoor seating and solid service. Must try: - Mashed potatoes - Tropical drinks - Tots appetizer, enjoyed by all Not missing out: - Bishop bourbon drink : $13 for one shot of bourbon drowned in club soda. They don't list drink prices, so I can now say this was one of the worst $13 drinks I can recall. I asked if that was the right price since it was disappointing (as did 5 other people that tasted it), and they said it was correct price due to the bourbon used. They need to fix how they serve this, or warn people before ordering their nice bourbon with orange and bitters will be served in a Capris Sun-style sleeve sadly diluted with like 10fl oz of club soda. See picture. - Cornbread was buttery yet still kind of dry and not enjoyed by all three that had it. Sat in outdoor seating. Have multiple nice tables with umbrellas. Had large fans which weren't turned on. Fish tacos: Good fish, didn't have the sour cream advertised on their website. Received a legitimate tablespoon of guacamole for two tacos. When wife tried she asked if we got any guac on it (which was already applied). Slaw was good but sparse and dry. Shrimp n grits and mable chicken were both decent but not great. Had 5 med-large shrimp for ~$17 shrimp and grit order. Mac n cheese: Mixed reviews from those that got it; creamy, not very cheesy.

One of the fish tacos. Came with two tacos and a side dish. $9.99. So I'm credibly delish! ORDER THESE!

Such a fun and unique spot! We ordered the pretzel appetizer (pretzel was MASSIVE with a generous dish of fresh beer cheese) the fish tacos (the best damn fish tacos I've EVER had) the fried chicken sandwich and the Copper Kings Burger. The fried chicken sandwich was good, would be a lot better if they had dipped it in sauce or added more sauce on the sandwich. The burger looked good and was topped with pimento cheese. Definitely coming back next time we visit LBL.

The mashed potatoes with white gravy were so good, I ate those first. Hubby asked for a garden salad with salmon. He got a spinach salad with salmon. Our server brought it out and offered to have it remade, but the salad looked wonderful and he really enjoyed it. Kudos to the chef for standing his ground haha. We were too full for dessert. Highly recommend, for the experience and the cute period clothing. Get reservations though! We have to wait over an hour on our first visit. We made reservations the 2nd time and we're seated within 10 minutes.
