Chris was awesome! He provided everyone with sunglasses so you don't lose yours! He also provided sunscreen, water and dry bags for your phone! Went above and beyond! Had a blast enjoying Standing Bear Lake on a paddleboard. Did a little exercising with a lot of just relaxing and hanging out! I would definitely recommend and will go again! read more

Perfect day to spend time on the water, the instructions were spot-on, and I would highly recommend Driftwood Paddle Adventures. The price is reasonable, and they even snapped some pictures of our group while we were on the paddleboards. Easy to find, and we will definitely be doing this again! read more

We loved our outing with Driftwood Paddle adventures! We took out two paddle boards on Standing Bear lake. The instruction/intro was clear and helpful, and the guides were so friendly. We will come back again! Recommend arriving a couple mins in advance of your appointment as instruction starts promptly at the top of the reservation time to ensure you spend as much time as possible on the water. read more

We had a great time stand up paddle boarding! They are super accommodating when working with large groups. We had a private paddle for a bachelorette party! The guide took photos for us but otherwise kept to herself and was just there if we needed her. Over half of our group was new to paddle boarding and we all caught on pretty quick. read more

So much fun! I went with a group of girlfriends and we had a great time! Paul was super helpful at instructing us on how to use the boards and was great at offering advice once we were on the water. Our adventure was on Standing Bear Lake which he said is the "calmer" lake. The view was beautiful and it was great exercise. I want to try a Sunset Adventure now with my husband! I can't wait to try it again. read more

Top notch service and people! We went for an paddle on lake zorinsky. Even thigh most of our group were first timers , everyone did so great. The company brought our group boards during a non-standard period/tour time since we could not go during the sunset tour. They gave us great pointers/instructions and sent us on our way, and then came back to pick us up at the arranged time. Very reliable, responsive, courteous, helpful and informative. And most of all great fun!! Looking forward to doing it again! read more

History

Established in 2014.

Bringing Stand Up Paddleboarding to the Omaha metro area. The business began after the founder, Paul Jones, was out paddleboarding one day. Cars were stopping to watch him and thats when he realized paddleboarding hadn't quite come to the Midwest yet. Vernon Benes, a customer of Driftwood purchased the company a few years later when Paul moved out of the metro area, before the sale of Driftwood to current owner, Brianne Schuler, in 2019.

Meet the Business Owner: Brianne S.

Owner Brianne Schuler is no stranger to the water, with over 20 years of aquatics instruction experience in learn-to-swim and competitive swimming. She loves sharing her passion for water sports, including SUP, with our local community. Brianne began paddling in 2013 and has served as a guide for outfitters in the Midwest for nearly 8 years.

The shuttle driver was very friendly and gave us tips based on the current water levels/sandbar locations. It was a beautiful day, the only downside was we had to do a little bit of walking due to sand bars, plus the river was a little lower than normal due to lack of rain. All staff were friendly and helpful. I don't recommend taking kids if they are not avid swimmers or old enough to have safety awareness as water levels can get deep in some parts. Stay in your tube in those areas and you'll be safe and have an amazing time!
