We were all so excited! We arrived today and it is not at all what we expected. There is only one word to describe this trip so far "FREEZING"!!! Everybody is walking around in jackets and ski caps, or have heavy blankets wrapped around them. The halls feel like a morgue. We just came from the nightclub and everyone was complaining about how freezing cold it is. I actually saw children crying and their parents had to take them out. My daughter and I tried staying for the show, but had to walk out because we couldn't take it anymore. You have to be so happy if you happen to run across a small area of the hallways that has a "warm spot". ARE YOU KIDDING ME???? We spent over $700 a night for this New Year's Eve event and we can't even enjoy it. How can you run a hotel like this and expect people to ever come back? It's a disgrace!!!! For all the money I spent and I have to get sick, and now my daughter has a sore throat! Not to mention, I was in shock when they told me I have to pay for the New Year's Eve party after the dinner. WHAT?!!! I was never told that when I made my reservation. I am now so disgusted with this place and my heart is breaking because we truly loved it. Definitely going to look for other options from now on. Who knew I'd be spending my time in a freezer, and now I'm in my hotel room instead of being in the nightclub. THIS IS WHAT I SAVED UP MY MONEY FOR?! Another thing to add on because, we had to go to our room instead of the freezing nightclub we thought we'd get some snacks at the very least to have in the room. Well, SURPRISE, SURPRISE, the vending machine is broken and I lost money. I think it's time we all looked elsewhere for our hard earned vacation.

Scott and Eddie are true professionals and run the place with professionalism and expertise. Attention to detail is next level throughout the establishment from the towels to the bed linens to the coffee and of course the food. The complimentary breakfast is plentiful, delicious and generous. Don't worry about where you will have lunch. Trust me, you won't be hungry. If you want the best BBQ on earth, go find Big Kev on White Lake. Ask for restaurant reservations from anybody at the hotel and you can't go wrong. The Eldred Preserve offers something for everyone, from lakeside running/hiking/walking trails, wildlife, water sports and all of nature's beauty. There's a casino nearby and lots of quaint little towns. Bethel Woods is also nearby. We saw Steve Miller Band in what is now one of my top 3 favorite venues. Outdoors but covered. Fun. New. Clean. Lots of food and drink options. A spa is coming but if you want a massage in the meantime, ask the desk to connect you with Diane. It will change your life. We had a Lakeview room, and while it was spacious, the sofas and carpets had stains on it. There were no good amenities given how expensive the rooms are. We paid for the meals at the restaurant but they were so bad! I definitely had an upset stomach afterwards. The pools, activity room were not kept well. The water machines weren't all working either. Even after doing massages, it was hard to even get water. No one offered us anything. The Ayurveda massages were good but overall we didn't enjoy it. The lady (Anna) who ran the sound bath and meditation was so condescending and rude. There was no air turned on so she opened the outside door to get air in after we asked her, but her energy was so off. One of the front desk person, we asked for a tour and he said "just get lost" and explore on your own. So lazy! I wouldn't recommended this place at all. Given the owner owns a media company, why is this place not maintained well. Also, many of the steam or saunas weren't working. This is not a health resort , it felt like a glorified motel. I wouldn't go again.

We arrived April 2 for our 2 night stay, for my daughter's 16th birthday with two of her friends…read more Our room was not ready until well after five when it was supposed to be ready at four. Their waterpark is only open from 11 AM to 7 PM when basically every other waterpark that I've ever been to is open at least 12 hours a day. When the waterpark is closed, there is nothing else available in this place. Food is almost impossible to come by and if you do, you will wait an incredibly long time. The waterpark is small and crowded. Almost all the restaurants are closed until five if they open at all. Our room which was over $400 a night was not what I expected in the bathroom looked like something that you would see in a prison with the drain in the middle of the floor of the bathroom no designated shower or bath area it's just a shower curtain which had molded all over the bottom of it, over a tile floor. Our garbage had someone else else's tissues in it and our shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were all empty. This made me wonder what we waited till 5 o'clock for because checkout is at 11 and check-in is at four. That's five hours for their staff to clean the rooms. I think that that is enough time if you were properly staffed which they are far from. It was the worst resort waterpark I've ever seen or been to. The manager, sabrina is elusive. I asked for her when Daniel was at the front desk when we were trying to figure out when our room was going to be ready and he couldn't find her and then the next morning I called down and got Sabrina on the phone, but she put me on hold for forcing me to go downstairs and then wait for her yet again. This place is so poorly managed. The only good thing I can say is that the employees were nice. And I think that that says a lot because they're constantly hearing how horrible this place is and they all know it. This was also the most expensive waterpark we've ever been to. Please save your money. This place is an absolute rip off, and you will be sadly disappointed.
