Stayed here for a conference. The property is expansive with restaurants, hotel tower, gambling and conference space. There were a good number of bus trips cing in and out as well as a good amount of folks there to golf from what I can tell. The casino floor is not very large but is in the middle of the property. For this event going from my hotel room to the conference center meant walking by the floor each day. The guest room was an expansive suite with a bathroom that could have been a bedroom. Everything was comfortables. The view was fantastic since there isn't much else around. I was happy they had two pool areas with one being for adults only. Overall, I'm not a gambler nor a golfer but if those were of interest I would recommend this place. read more

A disappointing casino. The casino is located in the middle of an open space surrounded by a waist-high railing/fence. There is only 1 entrance and exit. The casino itself is also on the smaller side, probably about 1.5 football fields. My player's card also only worked on some of the machines. Went here for a three day convention. The place is quite big, but the casino place are small. The rooms are spacious, bed's comfy! The gym is very nice, the machines are new and it's spacious. There's also two big pools, and one hot pool, which the most enjoyable thing I did. Wow what a awesome experience the view was spectacular from our 16 floor room. The room was impressive and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. The casino area did have lots of fun slots machines which was fun . The food in the bar was amazing and a hit for that late night snack. All we needed was a weekend to recharge our batteries. This review is for people who plan on staying there for a night or days, either with kids or no kids. I chose this place because it was on our way back home from SUNY Delhi, so I wanted my kids to enjoy themselves. This is this is the tornado of events that happened since we checked in. 1- the reservation I made NEVER stated that it was made for a SEPARATE building outside of the actual casino hotel. So anytime we wanted to walk to the pools in this 30 degree weather, or go back to our rooms, it was BRUTAL. It sucked!!!! 2-the pools NEVER have towels so we had to wait 1 hour just to get towels and dry off so we can walk to the next building. There was another guest who spent 45 mins waiting and calling for towels and another woman who used the Emergency red phone line in the pool to ask for pools. It was pretty insane. 3-the kids pools and "Adult only" pools are divided. The kids pools are COLD and not enjoyable. So even if I wanted to dip in with my toddler into the warmer smaller pool in the Adults only section, but we couldn't. We only lasted about 20 minutes in the pool because of that. 4-the WIFI doesn't work lol there's ZERO internet service!!! 5-if I knew there was a $55 Dollar for a baby crib, I would've brought my own lol. It doesn't state it anywhere. Most hotels give it complimentary. 6- the food is so damn expensive. We thought having Chinese food would be the least expensive choice but it ended up costing $82 for 3 adults to have a meal with $4 canned ice-tea. My suggestion is that you just get food outside which is what we ended up doing. 7- if your staying in the outside building, hope and pray that your keys don't stop working, because it happened to us and we had to go into the main building to get them fixed. 8- there's no complimentary late checkout lol. It's $50 per hour after your 11am checkout, which is a smart way to make money, but I've stayed at so many hotels and it's either been given complimentary or if it wasn't available they would let us know. Terrible experience. My favorite experience here was meeting the housekeeping team. The guys were pretty nice and gave us some extra waters and coffees. My husband and I didn't even play in the casinos, I think our experience sucked so much that we just didn't want to do anything anymore. read more

Be respectful to others, your not the only one in this world that uses the restroom. Clean up after yourself you pig. Actually pigs are cleaner. Finally it magically turned back to English and they saw we have a reservation. Some lady said she has to check to see if the room is ready as if there isn't a million rooms here. I also thought to myself this means that the room isn't cleaned and I'm ready to throw a fit. Room is clean surprisingly not that bad there were stains in a lot of places. Had a conference here, rooms are very nice spacious, staff attentive and friendly. Our room on the 19th floor great views. They do have facilities for disabled, especially by the pool, but the doors are very heavy, difficult to hold open with one hand and go through. Elevators especially are timed for quick close. My husband and I booked one night at The Adler facility and we are disappointed with the facility. The room assigned to us was filthy. All surfaces in sleeping area were not cleaned, food on the carpet, TV was not working, lamps were askew and missing working bulb. From last occupant the bathroom had beard trim remains in sink and counter, hair on floor, glass partition was streaked with soap scum, lastly toilet had human body fluid on the porcelain base. The front desk was gracious and offered another room. This room was in better condition but still had hair from past occupant, food on the floor, TV did not work and the ac spit condensation that by morning soaked the carpet floor. At check out we politely pointed out the issues, again front desk agent was polite and courteous. Explained that the satellite that provides streaming "goes down all the time." We Were told the manger would call us when they arrived to work. No call from management. It was an expensive unpleasant booking. read more

My husband and I stopped in to check it out during a week night since we've never been before. We walked all around the main area with the casino and walked by all the restaurants. Everything looked to be recently upgraded and new. I loved the decor. My husband gambled for a little and since I don't really gamble I went to the cafe to grab a drink. First time visit for me on 4/21/26. Overnight trip with my sister and my mom, who has been to Resorts World Catskills many times before. Had a very disappointing experience at the Empire Bar. Originally wasn't going to review this, but after recounting the story a few times, was convinced that this employee was unnecessarily rude to me. Went to bar and ordered a vodka/cranberry. It was not overly crowded but it took a bit for someone to assist us. Took a sip of my drink and didn't taste any vodka. It seemed like a glass of pure cranberry with some ice. My mom's Kaluha and creme and my sister Captain and ginger were fine. The bartender did not circle back until I was about halfway thru my drink, but when he stopped back I inquired if he had given me cranberry or a vodka/cranberry, thinking perhaps there was just a miscommunication when I ordered. He responded that he had put a shot of Tito's and added cranberry. I thanked him for confirming and he asked why I inquired. I simply stated that it seemed very red in color and that I just didn't taste any hint of the vodka. He assured the vodka was added and we left it at that. A short while later, he returns and sets down another drink, a vodka/cranberry, in front of me and says 'I put a shot and a half of Tito's in this one' and comments that I should notice the color. So, I nodded politely and said 'thank you' assuming that he'd made another drink for me. A moment later, he grabbed the drink back and made a show of dumping it in the sink. The three of us were a bit taken aback by his reaction, but just finished up, paid our tab and left. Afterwards it kind of sunk in how exceptionally rude and unprofessional it was for the bartended to go so far out of his way to embarrass me for merely inquiring about my drink. I wasn't looking to get a free drink or make a fuss. To add insult to this injury, we had to pay almost $6 in automatic gratuity to this employee. All this over an $8 drink, and at the end of the day, but it left us with no real desire to go back. We went on with our overnight trip and didn't let bother us, but it was just an very unnecessary action to belittle and make a new customer feel small and worthless. I feel like I was sucker punched in the face by being invited to a slot tournament, given a comp room, some chump free slot and dining money, all to be treated like a second class citizen. Slot tournament machines did not work and no one cared that my machine was not working right, the Buffett dinner they through at you was a joke and I wouldn't let my dog eat from that food. Then all slot machines that evening were the worst, no fun at all, just take, take and take. Then we eat dinner at Lotus at food poisoning at its finest. When told waitress the lamb was bad she did not believe me, then manager proceeds to ask me to give her details as to why I won't eat it then tries to give me mint tea to make me feel better. No just want my money back so I can leave to get sick. Sick all night and next day as I expected. The food options at this casino is none existent. The only one you could somewhat trust is Cellaio and that had also gone downhill. This casino needs to either rethink how they run this place and treat their guests or shut down. You need to get better restaurants, how about a pizza place, nice coffee shop, sandwich/hamburger eatery. Customer service at front desk to check in was awful. Why do you have to enter casino in only one location, this is a fire hazard and a very uncomfortable situation for those who are handicapped like I am n need closer locations to enter and exit casino floor. No valet, NO waitress for drinks in casino, this place is no casino, just a building with slots to take people's money. I will never return to this casino. Not worth my time nor to give you my money when I can drive 2 hrs to Mohegan Sun and be treated like royalty and have the best meals, shows, best slot and gaming experience and amazing accommodations and simply the time of our lives. Funny part is you don't even care because if you did you would have seen changes to your casino years ago. But no you'll build into casino and make another hotel and no way to access it unless you walk outside to get into the building. Real intelligent. Received two tickets from my daughter for Christmas for the Four Tops and temptation show here at resort world Catskill Monticello, New York. First time attending any type of show here. First, I must say I like that there's a metal detector there and they require you to remove all things in your pocket, Wallet, keys and cell phones so that's a good safety measure. As I walked into the hall, I was expecting an auditorium, but basically it's just a large ballroom with chairs setup as a venue. Sound system is not bad at all, though they did have some problems with the microphone with the second song from the Four Tops a loud, squealing, and then no sound. You can tell the artist we're taken aback but after a few minutes, they seem to get the system working again properly. As I said, it's a large ballroom with chairs set up. I thought it would be more of an auditorium type setting.nice clean restroom are nearby. My seats were in a makeshift section D.Once you walked into the room there were letters displayed ABCD and E. Then you had to look literally at the side of the chairs for the rows and a number at the top of each chair for seating. I like most people I observed found our own seats. To be fair after awhile I did see at least 3 ushers helping those with walkers and scooters. So that's my review of the venue. If a casino is making all this money why can't they get a more efficient and modern professional venue, especially to accommodate top performers like The Four Tops and The Temptations who by the way gave a GREAT PERFORMANCE. read more

Very long and slow line to check in. Opted to go to dinner with my backpack but was denied entry to the casino floor in order to get to the restaurant. Security said no bags were allowed. I observed several people with bags over their shoulders. I was then told it is a state law. I had to look it up, but cannot find any such law. There are also no signs regarding any bags of any sort in the area. On the website for the casino specifically says that the security may inspect the bags. I was simply denied entry. On another note, be careful for what you book and where they put you. A coworker of mine and myself both had room reserved. We both paid the same amount. She stayed in the main building. I was given a room in a separate hotel. Although the hotel is close, it is still a short walk down the hall outside and into another elevator just to get to the other hotels lobby. Looking up both hotels after the fact, this hotel is less expensive than the main hotel and can be reserved separately. In my room, there was a noise coming from the air conditioning unit that sounded like a plastic bag. I ignored it until it woke me again at 2:30 in the morning and I could not fall back asleep. After looking at the air conditioner, it seemed like there was something inside the unit that was not reachable. It also looked very dirty as he could see by my picture. read more

Rooms are fantastic bathrooms are a perfect size. The blankets on the bed are ridiculous you get two sheets and a paper thin blanket so you have to crank up the heat. As for the gaming area that is a total joke and I'm not talking about gambling and winning and losing I'm talking about the riff Raff that they have walking around watching you go in your pocket pull out stuff sit behind you watch your every move that is disturbing. Late night the back bathrooms in the back by the sports part or closed but there is one bathroom that you can use. But last night I had to go that was the closest place to go and there was a person in there showering herself yes and she shut the door knowing that I was in distress and needed to go. I waited to get 15 minutes and I no longer I had to rush to the front this is unacceptable this is not a hotel this is not a bathroom for them to clean themself up and then go out and look for tickets on the floor. Security cannot care less they turn their head and say yes we know I think that the corporate office needs to get their head out of their butts and get the people back there that are paying customers not fuss loads of these people who bring their own food a slot machine play on their phone while it's charging and eating their lunch or dinner. This is no place to rent a Business. And if you don't believe me walk in look around this place is dead it used to be hopping 2 years ago now it's deserted. Let's get on the ball fix it up get the people back so we can start enjoying ourselves and not mind spending our money there because you're having a good time with some entertainment instead of it being a horrible station that's playing on the radio. I'm not in my car I want to hear something that's going to be upbeat for relaxing to where I want to play. And don't get me started on the drink service there is absolutely not nada nobody give me a water how about a drink is it going to kill you to spend some money to give your patrons something to drink maybe give us a buzz we can spend more money. We took a bus trip there to see The Platters in concert, which included lunch & $30 to gamble. The concert was one of the best I've ever attended. We were told we would have a private lunch. We thought that meant just our group. Turns out that to them, "private lunch" means a separate room for all bus groups that go there. The food was grilled chicken, penne pasta & meatballs, plus salad, dessert, soda & coffee. All our food was cold. We had gotten our cards to gamble, so we went to the casino, with instructions how to use them. I had trouble with my card & tried to get someone to help me, but no one came when I hit the "service" button & no one I went up to would do anything either. I went to the Cashier with the $3.80 receipt I had & asked for help, only to be told I had used up the card. In short, I will never return to this place. The concert was the best part of the day, but I don't appreciate that cold food was served & a complete lack of care from the staff. read more

Where to begin? Arriving less than one hour early,we were told if we wanted to check in early,it would be an extra $50.00. Upon going to no less than three different bathrooms throughout our visit. Only one sink out of 10 actually had water. Some were even missing sinks altogether. No more vallet parking. Many of the arms on the slots no longer working. Waited twice over half hour for broken slots to be attended to. Only saw drink girl one time whole weekend on slot floor. Drink prices at bar have gone way up. $24.00 for a pack of cigarettes. Bars close way too early on holiday weekends. Kids running amuck all over hotel. No instruction sticker on room safe,and when they came to fix it,still no sticker of instructions and they had to come back and open it for us because it didn't work dispite maintenance being there for it twice. Mattress was the worst in room wat too soft. Wife had neck pain,and I woke up thinking I broke my back and shoulders over night. During Knick game on big screen bar, couldn't get drinks even though two bartenders were on duty- they just couldn't keep up with the amount of people. Toilet seat in room was so loose,I almost lost a testicle. USB plugs in room did not work. Coffee in room was so bad tasting,it was like drinking sock water dispite using bottled water for the pot. Pulling up to hotel in car we saw broken windows on hotel. Door glass was so dirty ,I didn't be want to walk through it. And we ate Chinese food there at friendly something or other. Dumplings came ice cold after a 25 minute wait and one chicken wing was actually rotten. We won't be back for sure. read more

We stayed in the hotel building with the casino and pool. Check in was a very long line but thankfully it moved at decent pace. My room was clean and spacious. The room temperatures were very up and down. If you turned the temp up a few degrees it'd be too hot and vice versa so we played with the temperatures alot. The cleaning crew for rooms only knew Spanish so hard to communicate with them. My mom's room window was filled with water and the room smelled of mildew (1203). Our room has a broken toilet seat. We called about it four times and even went to the front desk. Nothing was done about it (1205). Went to the adult only side of the pool. Of course people didn't listen to the rules. We stayed two days so first day the Jacuzzi was warm but it didn't bubble. There were no towels and the front desk said they didn't have any towels but they called for more. Second day it was cold and still no bubbles. There were only a hand full of towels again. We went to the other building that has the table games and does Gatos. We played pool but it had no triangle to set up the balls. We had to share one pool stick because the others were locked in the managers closet but it was an excuse. They never took more out. I recommend eating at dos Gatos and getting a margarita. We are the chips and guac, chicken/mushroom tacos, chicken chimichanga, and a side of rice with beans. All the food was good but not a huge fan of the rice with beans. We had to make a lot of modifications to our food because of allergies and they followed everything. I only gambled a little bit but that area was clean. Never saw a drink girl in the morning or night. Overall I had a nice stay at the resort. It could use better customer service and maintenance. read more

I have generally had pretty decent luck at this casino and I am not complaining about that aspect. But here is what happened during most recent visit: I was down $ wise but I made a fun recovery & I had a white slip of paper over $1,200 so feeling good then I/we tried a $10 Wheel of Fortune - we got a spin my GF hit the button and we got a $1,000 spin. The machine said "Hand Pay" and had to wait for the casino guy to come which he did come pretty fast. He asked for ID I gave him my driver's license. He came bacl and was a bit flippant and said "put out your hand". He geves me my ID back and a plastic casino (Genting Rewards) card that I never asked for. He counted out the money rather quickly - I think it should be done slower and dramatically. I did not want the casino card - it left me with a bad feeling. My experience at Resorts in the Catskills was great. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Shout out to David for helping me with my elderly mom. He stayed with us until I got my mom in her room and settled. I truly appreciated the added value he provided in my stay at Resorts. The front desk staff was great. The rooms are big, spacious and the view is breathtaking. So peaceful. The shower is the best. The one thing I will say is that the food was not as good as I am sure it could have been. The gaming floor is clean and spacious. There is a good selection of table games and slot machines. There is a "bus terminal" by one of the entrances. They bus in MANY undesirables (people that do NOT play, and walk around looking for you to leave tickets in a slot machine). They literally will follow you around, stand behind you, and it seems as if staff is told to allow the behavior. Comps are non-existent. You can play slot machines for hours and not even have enough to get a free coffee from the awful "cafe" by the entrance. The food there is straight garbage. The free play for slot players is worse than any casino in the area (Rivers, MGM, Turning Stone, etc). They should be ashamed by how they treat players. The steakhouse is hit or miss. We've had some excellent meals there. We've had some OK meals there. And once or twice, we've wished we went to McDonald's. The hotel is clean and the rooms are pretty good. No complaints here. The Asian restaurant, Lotus, has actually improved. The first few visits were pretty unremarkable. The last few have been good to very good. If we're going to eat at Resorts World, we'll go to Lotus. This casino is bleeding money. Food options are average to below average. Comps are non-existent. Free play is non-existent. When you walk in and see how empty the lot is, and how empty the casino is, it'll all make sense. Used to come here often when passing through the area. Now we just drive right by. My wife and I have been going up since the casino opened. I go several times a year and stay over usually twice a year. I have enjoyed all aspects of the property, it is very clean and well kept. They have improved their staff as much as they can considering the "local" pool they have available. My only complaint is DO NOT Buy a gift card for anyone. I was told I used my gift card and I know I have not so $100 went down the drain with no recourse. There were rude and obnoxious and when I provided the receipt that was used to buy it I was dismissed saying "there is nothing I can do for you". You have to call front desk if you want the room cleaned or if you want fresh towels etc. The pool is super cute. Water was nice n heated. Cold at first but you get used to it. The adult pool side was closed n the poolside bar was closed. We went briefly to the casino, no drinking due to COVID but they told me in another week or so, it would return. I like it there was no smoking. The restaurants are usual overpriced hotel prices. I prefer the Atlantic City in the summer. Beach n boardwalk n more choices of hotel etc. But we had a great day w friends! Next time I'll stay overnight! read more
