    Went here for a three day convention. The place is quite big, but the casino place are small. The rooms are spacious, bed's comfy! The gym is very nice, the machines are new and it's spacious. There's also two big pools, and one hot pool, which the most enjoyable thing I did. As for the restaurants, it's a big letdown, ate to two restaurants and it's quite so-so in terms of selections.

    Wow what a awesome experience the view was spectacular from our 16 floor room. The room was impressive and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. The casino area did have lots of fun slots machines which was fun . The food in the bar was amazing and a hit for that late night snack. All we needed was a weekend to recharge our batteries. I highly suggest you check out this place only a hour and half from NYC.

    This review is for people who plan on staying there for a night or days, either with kids or no kids. I chose this place because it was on our way back home from SUNY Delhi, so I wanted my kids to enjoy themselves. This is this is the tornado of events that happened since we checked in. 1- the reservation I made NEVER stated that it was made for a SEPARATE building outside of the actual casino hotel. So anytime we wanted to walk to the pools in this 30 degree weather, or go back to our rooms, it was BRUTAL. It sucked!!!! 2-the pools NEVER have towels so we had to wait 1 hour just to get towels and dry off so we can walk to the next building. There was another guest who spent 45 mins waiting and calling for towels and another woman who used the Emergency red phone line in the pool to ask for pools. It was pretty insane. 3-the kids pools and "Adult only" pools are divided. The kids pools are COLD and not enjoyable. So even if I wanted to dip in with my toddler into the warmer smaller pool in the Adults only section, but we couldn't. We only lasted about 20 minutes in the pool because of that. 4-the WIFI doesn't work lol there's ZERO internet service!!! 5-if I knew there was a $55 Dollar for a baby crib, I would've brought my own lol. It doesn't state it anywhere. Most hotels give it complimentary. 6- the food is so damn expensive. We thought having Chinese food would be the least expensive choice but it ended up costing $82 for 3 adults to have a meal with $4 canned ice-tea. My suggestion is that you just get food outside which is what we ended up doing. 7- if your staying in the outside building, hope and pray that your keys don't stop working, because it happened to us and we had to go into the main building to get them fixed. 8- there's no complimentary late checkout lol. It's $50 per hour after your 11am checkout, which is a smart way to make money, but I've stayed at so many hotels and it's either been given complimentary or if it wasn't available they would let us know. Terrible experience. My favorite experience here was meeting the housekeeping team. The guys were pretty nice and gave us some extra waters and coffees. My husband and I didn't even play in the casinos, I think our experience sucked so much that we just didn't want to do anything anymore.

    Tried checking in at 10pm. They were looking at my husbands phone like it was in Chinese. Asking all these questions as if this is a fake reservation that wasnt paid for and made the day before. Finally it magically turned back to English and they saw we have a reservation. Some lady said she has to check to see if the room is ready as if there isn't a million rooms here. I also thought to myself this means that the room isn't cleaned and I'm ready to throw a fit. Room is clean surprisingly not that bad there were stains in a lot of places. The wifi sucks , they don't even provide you any info to get on the wifi. We did attempt to eat at the 24/7 bistro but the power went out and the kitchen was down. Couldn't wait to run out of there.

    My husband and I stopped in to check it out during a week night since we've never been before. We walked all around the main area with the casino and walked by all the restaurants. Everything looked to be recently upgraded and new. I loved the decor. My husband gambled for a little and since I don't really gamble I went to the cafe to grab a drink. The staff there were super friendly and attentive. I can't really speak on the actual casino much since I only played one slot machine but it was smoke free and clean just how I like it.

    This is what is on your bed, two sheets and a light weight bedspread. Can you please put normal comforters on the bed.

    This place used to be the nuts I mean love coming here for a weekend love the food rooms were just nice and cozy nice comforters on the bed just a amazing experience. Well things have gone downhill, the beds have two sheets and a very thin blanket on them and the heat's jacked up to like 74 and we're in May put a comforter on the bed. I called twice down to the main desk and ask for housekeeping 3 hours later I get a knock no a bang on the door and it is a super thin blanket. I'm used to having weighted blankets I like the weight so I wanted a comforter and I wasn't asking for two I just wanted a nice comforter and I get a thin blanket what is with this place. Resort world let's step it up because I really enjoy coming here I don't want to go to Mohegan Sun or Mount airy or wind Creek I think your rooms are great the layout of the bathroom is amazing. So let's send up a comforter next time and I'll change my review.

    First time visit for me on 4/21/26. Overnight trip with my sister and my mom, who has been to Resorts World Catskills many times before. Had a very disappointing experience at the Empire Bar. Originally wasn't going to review this, but after recounting the story a few times, was convinced that this employee was unnecessarily rude to me. Went to bar and ordered a vodka/cranberry. It was not overly crowded but it took a bit for someone to assist us. Took a sip of my drink and didn't taste any vodka. It seemed like a glass of pure cranberry with some ice. My mom's Kaluha and creme and my sister Captain and ginger were fine. The bartender did not circle back until I was about halfway thru my drink, but when he stopped back I inquired if he had given me cranberry or a vodka/cranberry, thinking perhaps there was just a miscommunication when I ordered. He responded that he had put a shot of Tito's and added cranberry. I thanked him for confirming and he asked why I inquired. I simply stated that it seemed very red in color and that I just didn't taste any hint of the vodka. He assured the vodka was added and we left it at that. A short while later, he returns and sets down another drink, a vodka/cranberry, in front of me and says 'I put a shot and a half of Tito's in this one' and comments that I should notice the color. So, I nodded politely and said 'thank you' assuming that he'd made another drink for me. A moment later, he grabbed the drink back and made a show of dumping it in the sink. The three of us were a bit taken aback by his reaction, but just finished up, paid our tab and left. Afterwards it kind of sunk in how exceptionally rude and unprofessional it was for the bartended to go so far out of his way to embarrass me for merely inquiring about my drink. I wasn't looking to get a free drink or make a fuss. To add insult to this injury, we had to pay almost $6 in automatic gratuity to this employee. All this over an $8 drink, and at the end of the day, but it left us with no real desire to go back. We went on with our overnight trip and didn't let bother us, but it was just an very unnecessary action to belittle and make a new customer feel small and worthless. This was 4/21/2026 at the Empire Lounge (picture of receipt is attached in case Resorts World Catskills wishes to follow up on this). Maybe he just had a bad day, but in any event, this is no way to treat people.

    Received two tickets from my daughter for Christmas for the Four Tops and temptation show here at resort world Catskill Monticello, New York. First time attending any type of show here. First, I must say I like that there's a metal detector there and they require you to remove all things in your pocket, Wallet, keys and cell phones so that's a good safety measure. As I walked into the hall, I was expecting an auditorium, but basically it's just a large ballroom with chairs setup as a venue. Sound system is not bad at all, though they did have some problems with the microphone with the second song from the Four Tops a loud, squealing, and then no sound. You can tell the artist we're taken aback but after a few minutes, they seem to get the system working again properly. As I said, it's a large ballroom with chairs set up. I thought it would be more of an auditorium type setting.nice clean restroom are nearby. My seats were in a makeshift section D.Once you walked into the room there were letters displayed ABCD and E. Then you had to look literally at the side of the chairs for the rows and a number at the top of each chair for seating. I like most people I observed found our own seats. To be fair after awhile I did see at least 3 ushers helping those with walkers and scooters. So that's my review of the venue. If a casino is making all this money why can't they get a more efficient and modern professional venue, especially to accommodate top performers like The Four Tops and The Temptations who by the way gave a GREAT PERFORMANCE.

    depending on when you get there the tables can change. I have been multiple times, and can tell you that normally it is 15 dollar tables and obviously goes up from there.

The motel is only about 5 minutes from town, and about 10 minutes from resorts world. If you need supplies, there is a Walmart in town, there is a dollar tree, an Aldi, and other shopping as well. There are plenty of good restaurants. I highly recommend Tilly's diner, two doors down, as well as the Miss Monticello diner, downtown. We had the handicapped accessible room. The room was very large, and spotless. The bathroom was also very large and spotless. The TV got a good picture, there was a decent sized fridge and a microwave, and the beds were very comfortable. There is a desk available for either working or eating The Wi-Fi was fast enough to stream video, although occasionally, it would bog down a bit. There is a guest Laundry at a decent price, and also a very good hot breakfast in the morning. We ended up staying for multiple days. There were a few minor things that ended up taking off a star. First of all, they say, the room was handicapped accessible but it was not as accessible as it could have been. There was no "bath bench" to sit on, and no handheld shower. Only a standard showerhead. There was a small. shelf in the tub, but it was too small to use as a seat. . I was able to take regular showers, my partner had to hand wash. Also while there are plenty of grab bars, the bathtub had no. Bath mat to stand on, so the bathtub was a little bit slick. You have to be very careful. The other thing was, there is an indoor pool, but it was too cold to use. Also, there is a sauna. You have to heat it up for at least a half hour. I did, but it still was barely hot after the half hour. I just ended up not using it. Saying all that, we will definitely stay here again. I highly recommend getting the Best Western app and signing up for Best Western rewards. You can earn points toward discounts and free stays, and they also "status match" with other hotel chains. Thanks for a good stay.

Their waterpark is only open from 11 AM to 7 PM when basically every other waterpark that I've ever been to is open at least 12 hours a day. When the waterpark is closed, there is nothing else available in this place. Food is almost impossible to come by and if you do, you will wait an incredibly long time. The waterpark is small and crowded. Almost all the restaurants are closed until five if they open at all. Our room which was over $400 a night was not what I expected in the bathroom looked like something that you would see in a prison with the drain in the middle of the floor of the bathroom no designated shower or bath area it's just a shower curtain which had molded all over the bottom of it, over a tile floor. Our garbage had someone else else's tissues in it and our shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were all empty. This made me wonder what we waited till 5 o'clock for because checkout is at 11 and check-in is at four. That's five hours for their staff to clean the rooms. I think that that is enough time if you were properly staffed which they are far from. It was the worst resort waterpark I've ever seen or been to. The manager, sabrina is elusive. I asked for her when Daniel was at the front desk when we were trying to figure out when our room was going to be ready and he couldn't find her and then the next morning I called down and got Sabrina on the phone, but she put me on hold for forcing me to go downstairs and then wait for her yet again. This place is so poorly managed. The only good thing I can say is that the employees were nice. And I think that that says a lot because they're constantly hearing how horrible this place is and they all know it. This was also the most expensive waterpark we've ever been to. Please save your money. This place is an absolute rip off, and you will be sadly disappointed.

That said, the reason I booked this place is that it's 15 minutes' walk from the bus and it was half the price of the other available hotel. If I ever return to Monticello, I'll stay at the more expensive hotel. It's got to be better than this place. The room doors are wide open to the street, so any bugs or rodents (or people) can get in. The doors don't seal shut, so even with the door closed, you're going to get flies, moths, mosquitoes, etc. I was hoping the wet floor and open door meant that they had just cleaned my room, but it didn't dry overnight, so I'm guessing the water is coming from below? Or maybe it's that there's not enough ventilation to dry the floor? The tub was missing its finish, there's no way I'd stand in that. Some of the power outlets and one of the light switches worked. The bed linens were stained and had actual holes in them. The wifi worked weakly some of the time. All in all, I felt uncomfortable in the room, and I didn't feel safe leaving the room. I wish I'd thought to check Google or Yelp reviews before booking instead of just relying on the happy Expedia people. What room did all of those 10/10 people stay in?? The one star I'm giving them is partly because I requested a fridge and they brought it to me and it worked (once I plugged it into a working outlet)! It did leak all over the floor. Also because they generously allowed me to leave my suitcase in the room next to reception until I could check in to the place I was staying the next night. All in all, I cannot in good faith recommend staying here.

Went to have a bite to eat at El Gatos and then walked around the casino for a bit. We came back at 3:45 to a line out of the hotel front door to check in and one employee checking in guests. We finally got to check in after 4. Went up to room which was not very clean, no laundry bag, etc but we were in a rush to shower and get to the show. When we got back, I informed the guy front desk that the bathroom was not cleaned well. He said they'd put a note in the system. Next morning at check out I spoke to the girl at the front desk of the room and the vomit on the 4th floor in the hallway and it looked like someone tried to clean it up; but it still smelled and there was still remnants of it. She apologized and said someone would call. A few days later someone left a VM on my husband's phone that they would credit us the $25 resort fee. I didn't think that was acceptable, so I called back and spoke to Libby who was very nice. She said she would have another manager call me back, but over a week later, no one has called back. Pretty disappointing experience.

I was looking for a car service last minute, the night before my flight yesterday, to take me from La Guardia to a friend's home 1 1/2 hrs away in Montgomery. I called CAR24. Mike was super prompt in returning my text at 11:00pm, assured me he had availability and we'd touch base in the morning. True to his word, we booked the car in the morning and he gave me a very competitive rate. Didn't tack on last minute fees. Done, texted confirmation number. Gave me name of my driver, Allison, who touched base 5 min later with her cell number. Super prompt, funny and friendly, riding with Allison was a pleasure. A key thing to note: take your cues from the client. She didn't start chatting until I did. I'm from New Orleans and work in the hospitality industry there, handling conventions with 10,000-30,000 in attendance. I book about 250 private car service for clients a year. There are a few key things that are expected from a private car service that are unbendable: reliability, communication, cleanliness and polite manners in drivers, who understand it's not about them it's about the client. Likewise from a client: tip the driver and tip in cash. If you get good service, show it by tipping more than 20% of the fare.
