This was our first tent camping experience and thanks to Kat and everyone at Korn's it was amazing. They hosted our troop and all the girls had a great time. The team was so generous and helpful. The grounds are clean, there is a game room, pool, indoor showers and toilets and a little store. A friend got their camper stuck in a tight spot and the staff went above and beyond to help us get him out with minimal damage to his camper. There is a beautiful stream and hiking. This was my first experience camping I will say it was nothing short of amazing. I have to mention how clean the grounds were upon arrival which made for an easy setup. We were with a troop of girls and there was tons of things to keep them entertained. Upon arrival we noticed a great sized playground/park, a game room, a pool, a large playing field with a net and sand for beach/ volleyball, restrooms, showers, & even a shop. The staff rode around every so often in case they were needed for anything and even gave the families fun rides. Our camping area was located in a very quiet area with electrical setup, a fire pit, and running water. It was near this beautiful stream which we were able to enjoy with the children. During the trip and definitely towards the end Kat and the wonderful Korns Campgrounds staff went above and beyond helping us get our camper out of a jam. glass broKen all over the tent site. the man came over and picked some up and threw it in the brook. seasonal campers are awful and dogs bark all night and drink all the time and loud. the showers are cold and full of mold and the toilets are always plugged and run over. human waist never cleaned and dirt all over the the mirrors that never get cleaned. I will report this to the local health department as this is uncalled for. Do NOT stay here. Run the other way. As others have stated the pool has never been serviced or Cleaned. Traveled for vacation to go to Lego land with family. tried to call the owners house at 9pm to report bathrooms plugged and never answered the phone. Drove to the office-house and they peek out the windows and don't answer. read more

The owner katy is a such cool person she makes you feel welcome here This is my second time in this campsite and the first night was better then this time. What I experienced this time was that the water was pure !! Disgusting i had to brush my teeth with water bottles thats how horrible is smelled !! Even in the shower i had no choice but to shower with that smelly fart water i mean omg I couldn't wait to return home to clean water ! Then the men's BATHROOM WAS PURE DIRTY TOILETS WAS FILTHY ONE WAS CLOG THE OTHER HAD POOP SPREAD ON THE SEAT ONE WAS ONLY AVAILABLE I HAD TO USE MY OWN TOILET PAPER CAUSE THERE WASNT NONE FOR THE 4 days i stood there this was the front restroom i can say the back bathroom was the only clean one. We've been to this campground several times and had a wonderful experience every time. The staff is friendly and always super accommodating. We had small children with us and they moved our site from the one we had booked to a more remote location since where we had been booked was surrounded by a large and loud family reunion. They were able to have their fun and we were able to have our quiet! Restrooms were clean at all times, as was the pool and surrounding areas. We even come here when we're not camping for my kids to play at the brand new playground. We love Korn's so much, it's the only bumper sticker to ever grace our Van! read more

My girl and I and our pups loved it. This place is dog friendly! Campground is very clean and easy to navigate. Staff even allowed me to buy stuff from the store after they closed; super helpful and friendly. The kill was right behind our site, which was nice to explore and cool off. No garbage either! Nice place very rustic and quiet but they can definitely clean the bathrooms more often and the owner/lady at the front office is very rude.

I was a seasonal camper at this campground for a year ,I spent 8000$ in total, getting unsafe tree cut off my site ,putting down new stone ,planting flowers , paying the seasonal fee and electric bill ,putting down mulch and spending money at the camp store ! The so called manager cat, was a total nightmare, she drove around yelling, screaming, yelling racial slurs at peaple when night time cam and she was total drunk every night speeding around the grounds! The bathrooms were always disgusting, thank god I had my camper so I didn't have to use them! She was supposed to empty my septic tank but everytime she did she would spill it all over so I had to start doing myself! Dont ever become a seasonal at this place ! It became a true nightmare! , my and my good friend who was also a seasonal there would clean the pool and do numerous other things for free just so our kids could use the pool! She also dump dollar store bleech in the pool ! Beware of this place please !!! As soon as they get new management ill be back but until then ill never step foot back on that property!!! And also the water coming from the pipes was so disgusting that I had to get special inline filters (3 of them in a row ) before I would let the water reach the camper becouse they never cleaned the pipes in 10 years ! I had it tested and it wasn't even good enough to shower in without the special filter system!!! Its very dangerous water ! Hopefully new management takes over soon and makes this place nice again like mr and Mrs korn when I was a kid and camped there it was amazing read more

We had a campsite right on a stream and were surrounded by woods. We had neighbors, we could almost make them out through the trees, but we couldn't hear them. It was like we had a forest to ourselves for a night. Perks: This is a place that offers long term stays, so the campsites have electricity if you need it. They also have running water if you need it. And there are bathrooms. And showers, if these are the sorts of things you look for in a campsite. The minuses: It's not cheap to stay here. This place creeped me out! We actually turned around and left without even staying! First the woman didn't even know what town we were in (who doesn't know what town they work in!?) and there were no signs to our site so we had to go back to the office to confirm where we were going. Neither woman there wanted to help us and we got major attitude! Finally we followed her to our site (which she also got confused going to!) Our site was completely deserted and the bathrooms were bolted shut. I saw right lights flashing all over the place in my mind and my gut said Get Out of Here Now! We drove off and when I finally had reception again I called KOA which is about a half hour away and we stayed there. We're not spoiled campers, we do rustic sites a lot but this place gave me the heebie jeebies and I decided KOA was the place to be. read more

We have been camping here for two seasons, more than a few times each. It's a beautiful campground with a friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. We love coming here, I bring my son when we go camping and we have a great time. We have left bikes out in the campground and I felt perfectly safe doing so. It's a lovely place. read more

I hope the Town of Wallkill realizes the treasure they now own in Korn's Campgrounds. I had honestly had no idea what I was going to expect on a recent extended extended stay with them. We came up from Texas to see the Fall leaves. Although the soggy weather and the slow change in the seasons disappointed us most certainly Korn's campgrounds did not Kat, who runs the place was the most gracious park host meeting us upon our arrival and throughout our stay. The cast of characters (the seasonal campers) who make up the core of the park and were about the only ones left still camping that late in the seaon were some of the friendliest and welcoming people we had had met on our recent trip across America. Each night we were welcomed to their large campfire,swapping stories, smiles and laughs. The park has dozens of really great camp sites nestled in the woods and alongside a babbling stream. It could use a bit more gravel in some places as things were getting pretty spongy after a long wet summer and early fall and the bathrooms could use some updating. Sometimes it's hard to really catch the vibe from a place that was not fully functioning but I would imagine camping here in the Summers would be a real delight. Other than the price, ($55.00 per night) which I was informed is not too out of line considering its proximty into the greater NYC area I would say our stay with the fine people at Korn's was excellent. With any luck the current owners, the Town of Wallkill will make the investment to make this one of the best campgrounds in New York state. It really has that potential. read more

We have a Class A RV & stayed & here in 2020 with our 2 young granddaughters who spent a lot of time at the playground. We decided to stay there again with them in 2021and made reservations months in advance for a site specifically overlooking the playground. Less than a week before our trip I get an email from them stating we had been moved! I looked up the new site and it was at the rear of a large field in the sun about as far away from the playground as you can get! I called the campground and spoke to a lady who said she was the manager who said she had nothing to with moving us! She also stated that she in fact could not even see our info on her computer and could do nothing about it! I called reserve American and that lady said that was an out Outright Lie!!! That the campground was the only one who could change the reservation short of us canceling it. While I was on hold She called the campground spoke to the women who played Dumb! After talking and trying to come up with an acceptable solution she called the lady back. She didn't answer so she left a message to please return her call. On a follow up call I was told that the call was never returned! They kept our entire two nights fee. All this from a small campground with horrid restrooms run by an extremely inept individual who I'm sure rented our site specific reserved space to a local friend. This campground is owned by the town who I'm sure has no idea how it's really being administered! read more

My family and I stayed this weekend. We loved the campground. The major downside was the bathrooms are disgusting. I understand that it is not a hotel. But they should have someone clean them everyday. Just sweeping does not qualify as cleaning. I will not talk about how the shower stalls were disgusting. read more

I have to say what a rude/weird experience. My wife and I with our three children drove their this morning to check out the grounds and to see if we wanted to stay there. I buzzed in at a locked gate and said I'm a guest can I come in. She said it's a little early for guest and I replied can I come in and speak to you. She buzzes me through the gate and when I walk in a older lady tells me she hasn't heard of anyone wanting to look at the campgrounds and that its weird. Not in 44 years. Than asks me if I'm up to something. I was saying to myself this place is absolutely nuts/weird. I replied I didn't know this is a big deal. She said it's a holiday weekend. What are you doing up so early for ? I said me and my family are out taking a drive. She than finally states if u must look take a left or something of other. I said no thanks. Please buzz me the heck outta here. I'd love to spend my money somewhere else. From what I can see. A big grass field with campers along it. Very plain. The basketball hoop and playground area are a joke. And the owner/older lady at desk is not only rude but very out of touch with reality. We stayed at Korn's this past August, 2011. Nicest owners you'll ever find. Old style campground, which is a good thing. Almost 2 campgrounds in one. You have a choice of a mature pine forrest, some sites right along the river, Very cool in summer. You feel like your in a national forrest. Sites are not all crammed together like most other places. The other choice is sites out in the open, some overlooking the pool, that give you lots of sun, and nice views of the country side. Nice pool, clean restrooms and shower, wifi available at the office, no cable tv, no hassles. Good place to get to know the wife and kids again, Recommended. read more

i was there for 3 nights it was hard to find some one to pay for my stay. it was quite and the site was really nice. we did not see any one for all the time we were there no one came around and said hi or asked us if every thing was ok. i know there were not that many people there but bathrooms were dirty was never cleaned not once i know its a campsite but once a day to clean bathrooms it a place were people shower and go to the bathroom should look a little better oh i will come again i loved the woods and camp grounds. thank u for having us read more

Spent a long weekend here for the 4th of July holiday weekend. Not very busy which worked out well for my family and our dogs. We had a site on the river which gave the dogs a place to cool off and the kids could catch crawfish in their nets. There must be a family of owls living in the campground because at night they can be loud and intimidating (found out these were Barred Owls). The staff was very kind (new owners now), pool was clean and bathrooms were on par with most campgrounds. Store has necessities in case you run out and prices were fair. It looks like they're in process of installing a new playground to replace the small and dated one presently available. Only negative is the firewood which was difficult to burn and once started hardly produced a flame. Either find some elsewhere or bring an axe to cut up branches laying in the woods to get you through. Hope to be back again someday. read more
