I probably spent 30 minutes looking through the brochures here. They also have a bulletin board with events in the area but unfortunately it doesn't look like it gets updated . The majority of the flyers were from July and it is now October . It would have been nice to see current events and things happening in the area . They have vending machines and they even have a microwave for people to use, which is unique and very thoughtful. There is a button you can push inside if you need the police, so that helps with a feeling of safety and I did see a red and white sheriff's vehicle parked there with two deputies inside on my visit. There are lots of tables outside with chairs and a grassy area where you can take your pets. Plus the view of the water is very beautiful, especially right now with all the fall foliage.

This place is full of friendly people and in a great location to experience the wilderness around Chautauqua Lake. They have tent sites, R.V. sites and clean, cool, cabins. The cabins are an excellent value. They include a fan, fridge, electricity, water, and bunk beds. Outside there is a fireplace ring with a picnic table. All you need. The park is right next to the Chautauqua Gorge State park, offering exceptional hikes, gorge swimming and fishing opportunities minutes from the campground. There are many options for exploration and hiking on the 45 acres offered by the campground. We found many fossils and other interesting wilderness keepsakes. If you are looking for lodging the next time your in Chautauqua New York, check this place out, they have awesome options including luxury cabins with Air Conditioning and other quality amenities. The camp is beautiful. It's located directly in Chautauqua Lake. They have cabins with bunk beds and bathrooms, a few large buildings for big gatherings, including a dining hall with a full kitchen. There is also an activities building with a beautiful pool and hot tub. All of my experiences with the staff were exceptional. I have some dietary restrictions and the cook who prepared our meals was extremely accommodating and checked in on me throughout the weekend to make sure I was getting what I needed. The director and all other staff members were extremely kind and accommodating. They seem to run their own camp in the summer months, but also seem to rent out the camp for different events during the off season. My retreat was in March. March in WNY is not always the warmest, and all the accommodations were great. I never felt too cold or anything. Definitely consider camp mission meadows if you have any need for a group destination, overnight or not.

What I love about Mission meadows, besides the beautiful view, the amazing chapel, and the above average camp food, is the mentality behind the camp. I have been a speaker here twice and have two more events booked in the next year. I love to come here because they are not a camp just for church kids. The camp is one of the most diverse camps I have visited, and the permanent and yearly staff love on the kids from ALL walks of life. The staff themselves are great people and I enjoyed getting to know them and working with them the last few years, Having stayed once in the regular cabins, I hate the mattresses, but everything else is nice and comfortable. One of their features is an indoor pool, rock wall, and gym that are available in the winter to rent out for the weekend, day, or afternoon when they are not being used for regular camp activities. If you have a chance, stop by and walk the grounds of the beautiful Mission Meadows.

Our friends booked this for one of our annual camping trips and it was quite a trek from Indy…read more Checking in was easy and there really were no rules that they gave us. We were back in the back part of the campground and the directions she did give us were to back into our site, which made it a little tricky, but my husband managed it. We were on site 62. The sites were heavily wooded in the back, which was nice because it provided a lot of shade and was mostly quiet. I will say that the Electric post are very low to the ground and ours was 30 amp, but it didn't come with a 110 V which was kind of frustrating and it seemed like the 110 V didn't work on our friend's site so we had to use another friend's site. We purchased our wood from them and it was super wet and it was difficult to burn so I would also recommend as another reviewer said to get your wood offsite until this is more seasoned. It appears as though they are putting a lot of work into this campground, and I imagine more improvements will come as they continue to work through everything.
