The chai is pretty sweet on its own so I add 2 shots of espresso to cut thru that sweetness and add a teeny bit more caffeine to the drink. They also have seasonal drinks that stay for a few months at a time. My favorite seasonal drink was in the summer -- I believe it was a haupia latte (cold foam on top was sooooo good with the coffee). Food: If I order food, it'll be the bacon burrito w/sauce. They also have other sweeter options for food (mochi waffles, avo toast, etc) Of the countless times I've been to Surfer's, there's a mixture of people - some locked in doing work, others catching up with friends, people reading their Bibles, tourists passing through checking out a local coffee shop, etc. Because of this, it can get pretty loud for a coffee shop, so just FYI if you plan on going there to do work! We had to follow up and remind them a couple of times for our orders: 1) We ordered a breakfast burrito and the worker forgot to put it in the oven to heat it up. It was sitting on the counter for a while, and we had to point it out to them. 2) They didn't start our waffle order right away, and we had to follow up for them to get started on it. They stated that the waffle was "going" but it was obvious that they only started working on it when we followed up. We went on a Sunday morning, and it was not busy at all. We were there for about 40 minutes waiting for the burrito and the waffle. I am generally a very patient person and would understand that mistakes can happen when there's multiple orders and things going on, but aside from one other customer who received her order pretty quickly, it was just us there so it was honestly super disappointing.

While every bowl I've had here is good, my favorite is the lilikoi Moana - they're one of the only places with lilikoi honey that actually has a strong lilikoi flavor! I also love that they line the bottom of the bowl with granola and bananas. This location has a decent amount of shaded seating right outside, and it looks onto the rest of Haleiwa town.
