Open rain or shine so make sure you tip the Staff. A great option from Chain Corporations if you can get on Base and want to support Local. We love the Hawaiian Honeybee and Hawaiian Tropic. They have different Milk alternatives so we opt for Oatmilk. Husband loves the Striker Shark Attack and appreciate the cute Shark Gummy they throw in. We normally visit on Saturdays so it's not too crazy of a wait but they do take walk up orders if drive-thru is busy, they're located right outside of the Commissary so parking is not normally a problem. Bad: - They have limited food options, and I wish there were more options. - Business hours are not as military-friendly as Starbucks at the PX. Good: - As you can see from the company's name, everything happens without you getting out of the vehicle! - Various options of drinks you can select from! - Friendly staff with delicious coffee! Possibly my new favorite coffee spot?? I've been a couple of times so far and have yet to be disappointed. I'm not aware of many other coffee trucks with drive thrus as convenient as this one on island so I'm more than happy to make the commute when I'm craving something yummy but don't feel like getting out of my car. If you ever find yourself at the Commissary parking lot on Schofield base, the line of cars you'll see near the street isn't to get into the grocery store; it's to get coffee! I've had my eye on this place as I always see the line of cars waiting to get their orders in. The long line proved its popularity, but I couldn't get myself to sit in a still car with my newborn baby in the backseat (mamas, you know what I'm talking about - baby won't sleep unless there's motion in the car!) Luckily, I walked up to the counter to check out the menu, assuming it was a drive-thru only, but nope, I was pleasantly surprised to find out they take walk-ups too! The staff are so friendly and gave me recommendations on their best sellers. I got their most popular drink, Tan Line. It was definitely on the sweeter side, but it was delicious nonetheless. The workers were so patient and accommodating; they made my drink in a quick and timely manner and even offered an exchange if I wasn't satisfied with their recommendation. For the price and the size, the product was great. You could taste the richness of the coffee and it's perfect roast, nicely complimented with all the other flavors this drink had with it. Definitely a good bang for your buck, especially in comparison to other coffee shops around. While this place is already popin' in terms of business, I highly recommend this cute, army green trailer parked to the right of the Commissary. It was worth the wait, which was maybe 10 minutes? The line was long this morning. I was going to Starbucks at the PX but decided to try Joe's. Customer service is exceptional! Options on coffee are good. The guy that works there, knows his coffee. He gives you options so that he can narrow down what kind of coffee it is you want. I wanted to try it so bad. I had clients scheduled in the area, so I picked up before my visits. As usual, whenever I get a coffee before work, it doesn't really get a chance to get in my belly til hours later. This was no exception. Left my drink in the car and still drank it. It was good, but I'm sure the flavors could've been way better fresh. Its not super often that I venture this way. I don't have base access so I either have a good reason with a day pass, or tag along with Mr G. Another bummer for me is the hours. We tried 3 different kinds of drinks and they all tasted like sweetened milk that was poured near a cup of coffee.. if you really like the flavor or coffee then I can't recommend this place.. if you like sweetened drinks with a hint of coffee then this is definitely the place for you. Beyond satisfied with my experience working with Drive Thru Joe and their catering services for a work event. The team was responsive and provided insight on how much food & beverage I should order given my headcount, which ended up being the perfect amount. They were kind enough to lend us a cart to transport the catering items from the car into the venue, as well as a toaster for the bagels. We were able to pick up our order at JBPHH and return the supplies they lent us at their Schofield location, which worked out perfectly with our work schedule. We were so impressed with the catering coffee that we decided to get coffee for ourselves the following two days while at Schofield. The team at both locations were friendly and efficient, plus the coffee was delicious so it was a no brainer to go back. I enjoyed a seasonal iced latte both times and my director had "the best flat white she's ever had". So it has been quite some time since this place has opened. It is my go to place for coffee. What I love the most is they change the menu up all the time! So far everything I have tried has been phenomenal. Here are my faves if you ever wonder what is good: - Hot or iced Latte with peppermint and white mocha. Drive Thru Joe is the best! I often go to the location on Hickam AFB, located in the back of the parking lot of the 24 hour gas station/convenience store on Kuntz Avenue. The drive-through service is amazing and very fast-I've never waited more than just a few minutes before ordering. I usually order cold brew with cream and sugar (for a friend) and oat milk hot chocolate for myself. I appreciate how many milk alternatives they offer, including coconut, oat, and almond milks. Yes you actually just drive thru, no getting out of your vehicle. The staff is extremely friendly. They are full of smiles and gratefulness for business support. They took the time to have us try our drink first and if any issues they would tweak or fix it. They except cash or credit card payments. They also have a loyalty rewards program. We got a hot white mocha with soy and an iced white mocha with soy and chocolate walls. I was sketchy only because I am a Starbucks junky and I particular about my "foofy" coffee. I was surprisingly impressed. I have NEVER gone to an establishment that met the par, I usually dumb it out and waste my money. I am proud to say, it was very good! The banana bread chai is really good but everything else I've tried has been a disappointment. The coffee is always weak and the knockoff Dutch bros drinks are too sweet to ever finish in one sitting. I had Drive Thru Joe Coffee at one of the Navy vs Army foodball event at Pearl Harbor and decided to go back at Schofield. What happened was my husband was going to park his car at the comissary where Joe Coffee is located. But I wanted to do drive-thru so he was a little off side of the line for the place. A car pulled up behind us knew we were in line so he or she did not have a problem with it. Our turn came and this young guy came over to "take our order". First thing he said to us was "Did you guys cut that person behind in line?" I said no. Then he cotinued saying "oh because I saw blah blah blah." My husband had to explain excatly what happened in detail. Obviously the person behind us was fine and we said no. That should have been the end of story. Love it, love it! This little cute drive thru van is such a cute aesthetic that gives me Seattle-ish vibes. Who knows how long this business will last until AAFES sniffs this out QQ. Anyways, this place speaks to the heart of most military degenerates that want to get their caffeine fix but want to be a little extra (Meeee lol) So instead of a normal energy drink, I got their Red Bull Infusions with pineapple and half sweet (they use white chocolate as their sweetening syrup) and if you can imagine a pineapple cream soda, then you nailed it. A mindfulness, I do not like too sweet. I am usually a one sugar or no sugar in my coffee kinda girl and half sweet is just the threshold of my tolerance. Thank goodness for that adjustment. They have multiple Red Bull flavors and I was told their orange-flavored Red Bull infusion resembles an orange creamsicle so if that is your cup of tea then more power to you! I love the fact that they have a ton of options, including a plethora of dairy free milks and syrups to choose from. I ordered the "heartbreaker" iced latte with coconut milk with reduced sweetness. It had a nice dark chocolate and raspberry flavor without it being overly sweet. Kind of reminded me of the Ghirardelli raspberry chocolate squares which I LOVE!
