Due to "privacy concerns" I am not allowed to register his vehicle even though his registration address is the same as mine! More recently, I went to title a newly-purchased vehicle. They wouldn't do it because the dealer hadn't signed and notarized the odometer disclosure on the back of the MSO (Manufacturer's Statement of Origin). Never mind that the dealer HAD included a signed odometer disclosure on a separate piece of paper. Add to that a lengthy and ever-expanding list of made-up fees that make cellular and cable pricing look honest and straightforward by comparison. My personal favorite is the "Clerk Hire Fee" that you are charged even if you renew online and no humans are involved. Fantastic!

First of all, they share walls with a laundromat and I'm severely allergic to perfumes, so I'm automatically miserable at this location because the business next door reeks and it seeps into the DMV location. I set up an appointment on July 18th this year so I wouldn't have to sit and wait; spend as little time in the building as possible. I'm writing the review now because I wanted to give them a chance to fix the issues I'm going to mention but they acted as if what happened to me isn't a problem and they did nothing wrong, so they get to have a negative review. Anyway, back to July 18. My spouse and I got there and proceeded to pull up the email with the appointment confirmation code and went to the silly kiosk they make you use now. The kiosk refused to accept our code even though we were on time. By the time we were able to flag down an employee, we were late for the appointment and the employee couldn't make it accept the confirmation code, either. So we had to sit and wait. Thankfully, because every minute I sit in that building is literally a risk to my health, the line was short. When we got to the counter, finally, we informed them that I am transgender and do not use my legal name, please call me Justice. I also asked if it was possible to get Justice put anywhere on my ID in quotes; they said no, which I expected, but I wanted to ask anyway. We were getting my ID renewed so we can start the long, EXPENSIVE, legal process of changing my name. Even after informing them that I am transgender, which is a legally protected class in Colorado, and to please call me Justice, they outright refused to and I got deadnamed no less than 5 times during the time I was in the literal hellhole that is this location. By the time we left, I was in tears, shaking, and having a full panic attack. We emailed and tried calling and leaving a message to file a formal complaint about my experience but no one has ever responded. My spouse went there a few weeks ago and tried talking to someone, who literally said since we got my ID anyway that nothing that happened to me mattered. Basically, he was told to piss off and what they did to me was fine since I got that stupid, ugly piece of plastic out of the deal. If at all possible, avoid going to this place. Renew online, pretend you live somewhere else, ride an elephant to work. Do ANYTHING to avoid going here, especially if you're trans.

Arrived back approximately 40 minutes later and they were still working on people from around 1:30. Went across the shopping center and got my hair cut. Checked out a new candy store that's next to the barber shop. It's now 4:20 PM and they're still helping people who showed up at 1:45. This should be considered unacceptable. At the very least, add a vending machine or something so people who get stuck here for hours on end can have a little bite to eat. The female clerk who helped me was some kind of "assistant manager" and seemed annoyed at those of us who were still there past 5:00, even though we had arrived far earlier and it shouldn't be considered our fault that were there past closing. I wasn't able to view my picture and she rushed all of us out as quickly as she could. Bring in more clerks and quit being inconsiderate of people's time. If any other business was this inefficient their doors would be shuttered quickly as people would leave in droves. Avoid this location (its in a dumpy looking complex anyhow)

My appointment was at 10am, I arrived at 9:25am, Text I was there, 1st encounter a CS employee front door, came out, I told her my appt. was 10am, and my mother was 93 in a wheelchair. she was very nice and took us in at that point. Was inside by 9:30. They gave us a number, helped us through the line and we were back on the road by 9:55. FIVE minutes before our appointment time. I spoke with 4 employees, and every one had an amazing work ethic, and treated us very well. I wish I had all their names, everything happened so quick and EFFICIENT. Thank you Northglenn Division of Motor Vehicles. 5 STARS from us. And I'm going to through In the Office over on Peoria, in North Denver. I made an appointment over there for myself a ways back, and it was an easy amazing experience. 5 stars...... I have faith in the DMV!

I had such a positive experience at the Boulder County Department of Motor Vehicles today. We went…read moreto get a new title and transfer a title. We did not wait very long to be assisted. It helps that you now need to make an appointment online. When you enter the building you check into the kiosk and are given a number. The building has been newly renovated (since June) and has lots of comfortable chairs, several screens that show when it is your time to be helped. They even announce your number in case you are not facing the screens. There is a privacy glass now which helps with health and safety for the employees and customers. This partition did not take away from connecting with the employee. The employee that helped us (Jamila) was in training. She was personable, friendly and helpful. She made the transaction a very positive experience. There is free street parking and a free parking lot across the street. There was a time when it was hard to find a parking spot, but now with a parking garage with free parking it is easy to find parking.

The whole process took about 10 minutes sitting at the counter, and the lady was very nice, and congratulated us.
