I talked to several different guards and they said they would go check and would get back to me with an answer then would just pass by, avoiding eye contact or stand in my face to goof off with their colleagues. They were all standing around when I continued to knock on my cell door when a blonde guard who wanted to impress her colleagues by sassing me out decided to approach me to yell that if I didn't stop trying to get their attention, they would not release me. Seems like with the minimal time and effort she took to do that, she could have simply answered my question. These people seem to have no understanding of due process. Just because someone is behind a cell does not mean that they have been convicted of anything, yet they seem convinced that they have the right to treat people like criminals. Truthfully, even if I was, you still have to treat people humanely, which I wasn't. They have their Google reviews turned off but after reading some of the other things online about this facility, it seems like all their problems and scandals stem from the fact that their staff are not held to any professional or moral standards. Upon my release, I asked for the names of the guards I had spoken to that day and was told that they couldn't provide that. And when I spoke to a Sheriff to file a complaint, he minimized and dismissed every issue I had brought up and said that I was expecting too much from them, essentially for expecting that they behave ethically and that they don't pass along misinformation, and to correct themselves when they do.

When officers Genova and Longberg arrived in the parking lot where my husband and I were standing, we were relieved to see them ( even though we hadn't called them.) They stayed at the body shop until our business was completed . They were reassuring that they had the situation in hand and that we were safe. These two officers were exemplary in carrying out their duty. They were pleasant, supportive and very professional. THANK YOU OFFICERS GENOVA AND LONGBERG OF THE LOVLAND POLICE DEPARTMENT!

I'm writing this review from the perspective of a mom with small children. This library has a good…read moreselection of books for young kids, and quite a lot of books in different languages as well, all within reach so that they can make their own choices. The children's area is at the back of the library, and there are several comfortable areas to sit and read with the kids. The large windows in this area provide plenty of natural light, and also allow inquisitive children to look down upon people and cars milling around below, and watch the dogs playing at the dog park. There are also educational activity centers in this area, so the kids can move around a bit. This my kids' favorite Fort Collins library.

First-time Small Claims Court filers, this is for you: 1)…read moreFill out the JDF 250 form and take it to one of the two "CIVIL SMALL CLAIMS" windows in the Centennial Center, first floor. Just bring one copy and your checkbook. Don't bring exhibits or multiple copies - they won't get used. 2) Drive over to the Weld County Sheriff's Office (says WELD COUNTY LAW ENFORCEMENT ADMINSTRATION on the building) and pay a fee to have the defendant served. 3) Prepare your case. Read the "Small Claims Handout / 19th Judicial District Handout" and follow all instructions. FYI it won't matter how nice the paper you use for exhibits is, they scan everything and your actual papers will never be seen by the magistrate. 4) You are not required to list your exhibits on the JDF 72 Exhibit List form they give you. 5) On the day of your trial (always Thursday?) get there at least an hour ahead of the trial time (always 1:15p?). Go back to a CIVIL SMALL CLAIMS window and tell them you want to provide your exhibits to the court. They will scan all of your documents and take your USB thumb drive. You will not get these things back. Note: they have to remove all staples before scanning. 6) It's okay not to provide the defendant with a copy of your exhibits until the trial. 7) The well-prepared plaintiff will observe some cases before the day of your own trial. Observers are allowed. As this is written, cases are on the 2nd floor of the Centennial Center in Courtroom C. 8) The magistrate will take care of some preliminary business and then order opposing parties to go into little rooms, sit across a table from each other, and try to work out a deal. This is where your provide a copy of your exhibits to the defendant to keep. You will discuss your exhibits and the defendant's exhibits. Everyone will probably realize who has a strong case and who doesn't. Note that there's no arbiter present. It's just you and the defendant(s). 9) If you reach a deal, you will fill out a form that's there in the room stating what the agreement is. Don't worry if you don't know how to fill it out completely (we didn't). Just fill out what you can and go back to the courtroom. Of course, make it clear to the magistrate what part(s) you need assistance with. The magistrate is understanding and helpful. 10) If you did reach a deal, the magistrate will make it official. If you did not, both the plaintiff and defendant will present their cases, and the magistrate will rule. The whole process isn't super complicated, but they don't tell you these things. I couldn't guess why; every single Small Claims participant needs to know this stuff.

So the extremely nice girl showed us other dogs which she believed would fit our slower lifestyle. She introduced us to my beloved Luna. She's a beagle mix, older, very kind, the perfect dog. Not at all what I thought I'd be coming home with. This young lady took the time to match us with Luna. Now it's one year later and still I have no complaints. My husband, Luna, and myself spending our golden years together. Life is good.
