The next day I got a phone call from my salesman Charles and we got the car ordered I wanted. When I felt better I went to the dealership and met Charles Webster. He was awesome!! The car was exactly what I had wanted but the previous owner had smoked in it. I was hesitant to buy it but thought I could get the smell out. I could NOT. Two days later, Charles helped me to find the exact same car with no smoke smell and I was able to exchange it within a week. He was kind, patient and above all went the extra mile!! I will buy my next car from CarMax and Charles!!

If I didn't like it I could return the car. I involved Corporate and the Corporate person told me the General Manager agreed to do the repairs. After speaking in person to the Manager he refused the repairs. Through some base paint on it and said it meets their standards. Wouldn't meant any reasonable persons standards. Their standards must be so low you have to dig them up. Don't believe anything they tell you at CarMax. And Corporate is no help.

When they finally came to get the car they still wanted me to pay for it. Of course I refused to pay for a lemon. Now they are garnishing my wages for a no good vehicle that I don't have. This is the worst place in the world to get a car. They are not a reliable place to get a good running vehicle. . thumbs down

They said I should be contacted by my dealership (JD Byrider) no later than March for the repair. It is now May & needless to say, no one has reached out or even looked at it. & my car has been with their mechanics for a oil change. The part on my car that's under recall makes the stall in the gears, misread the gas & cut off while driving. So I was on highway 55 in rush hour traffic & my car turn off, causing me to be hit from behind! Who's in fault? JD Byrider refuse to fix the problem & I would NEVER get another car from them again! I will never suggest that anyone get a car from them. I've had 2 cars with them in the last 4 year & never been late on a payment. So when my pay week changed, I asked could I change the day I pay (you know since they go by when you get paid) & they told me no. So now I get harassing phone calls the week before I get paid like I can pull $215 out my ass! But when it comes to repairing & replacing the part that's under recall, I have to pay for it. As well as the damage due to being hit cause my car stop in the middle of a busy highway. If I didn't care about my credit, they could have this car back & make this someone else's problem. Luckily I wasn't killed in the accident & can come tell everyone who reads this to save your money & time.....& go get a car somewhere else.

The pre-owned car I bought was exactly as described, except for a couple of extra goodies Grady had saved to surprise me. And it wasn't just Grady. The entire team at Mazda of Jackson is friendly and helpful. Overall, I couldn't be more satisfied.

One thing I…read moreknow, that some people can relate to, is in a tough economy holding off on repairs related to high deductibles,& competing future costs, happens. But maybe the high paid folks at a car dealership dont get that. Nevertheless It should not matter to the dealership how the issues occurred (although very forthcoming about that) they shouldn't cause more problems just for bringing the car to the place that's supposed to know Mazdas the best. AI's take: Most likely causes based on timing: Brake hardware issue after pad replacement (fairly plausible) Loose anti-rattle clip, dust shield bent, pad not seated right, hardware rubbing. Relative danger: low-moderate if brakes still work normally, but should be checked soon. Typical repair: $0-$250 if dealer owns the mistake; Exhaust rattle from bent pipe or loose hanger Especially since it happens only over bumps. Relative danger: low if no fumes/no scraping. Typical repair: $50-$250 for hanger/adjustment, maybe $150-$400 if section needs repair. Actual wheel bearing Usually a humming/roaring that changes with speed and turning. Timing after brakes makes me slightly skeptical, but still possible.
