Took it in, found out it was the thermostat that needed to be replaced. It was covered under the warranty...perfect. Maybe 2 weeks later, issues with the transmission. Sent it in for repairs and was told the $900 in repairs was NOT covered by the warranty. So now I'm going back and forth with customer relations to cover repairs for a car I purchased less than 30 days ago!!!!!!!!! Listen, if you're in the market of buying a new used car don't go to any Drive Time. I set my rate with a monthly note of $366 with a $2395 down payment. Once the deal was done I put down $2400 with a monthly note of $505 . When you look at their inventory, stay away from the make & models they have in abundance throughout their inventory. I got this car on a Saturday before they closed and by Sunday, the next day, I was ready to bring it back. Transmission slipping, car overheating and metal on metal brakes that weren't making ANY NOISE during the test drive route. You first need to make an appointment don't just show up. You won't get seen or helped until you do. If you are looking for a car and you have bad credit, no credit but you can show two pay subs. Proof of residency, and utility bring in all those documents and SEE if you qualify for a USED CAR. The process is NOT fast so bring your patience. The staff does not deserve to have you get upset or angry with them, so be nice. The only reason a person gives a bad review is they did not bring in qualifying documents. The only reason I'm giving this place 2 stars is because of their good customer service. However, the vehicle we purchased broke down within 2 months of ownership. We were told by two different mechanics that our vehicle needed a whole new engine. Why would a dealership sell a vehicle that needs a new engine? DriveTime washes their hands of anything that goes wrong with the vehicle after 3 days, and the warranty isn't worth the paper it's printed on. Now we have an undrivable lemon that costs almost $2000 to get repaired, and Bridgecrest (the company you pay your note to) doesn't care. They just want their payments. If you decide to purchase a vehicle from here, please make sure you do your research on the vehicle, AND get it inspected by a reliable mechanic that you trust that same day or the next. That way, if it's a lemon, you can take it back! I wish we would have done this. It would have saved us a lot of time and money. read more

My wife was sold a 2020 Kia Soul by car salesman Edmond. He told us the car was great and drove fantastic. We were approved for in-house financing. We ended up putting down $5,300 cash. After we left the dealership about halfway down the street the ( tire pressure monitoring system failed) I had my wife pull over and visually checked the tires. Everything looked ok. We drove home and contacted DriveTime the very next day. We were instructed to take the vehicle to our local Pep Boys who tried their best to resolve the issue but were unable to do so. We were then sent via SilverRock to take the vehicle to a local KIA dealership, where they found out the air tire pressure sensors were OEM, and all of them needed to be replaced. There was some confusion between SilverRock and KIA. So we were unable to get the vehicle issue resolved. A couple of days later the brakes started to grind into the rotors. At that point, we called to start the return process via DriveTime 5 5-day return policy. Edmund tried to tell my wife that we were too late. Even though it had only been 5 days. I guess his commission check was more important than my wife's and kids' safety. However, after speaking with GM Zack. He was very helpful and understanding and had us bring the vehicle back and issued us a full refund. However, I had already done a full oil change, tints, filter, windshield wipers, floor mats....etc So I still lost over $1,000. While we truly appreciate Zack, Edmund was very disingenuous and came off like your typical car salesman. I would not buy anything from this dealership unless you have it thoroughly inspected. The website reviews comes in from the dealer at 4-5 stars because they ask you to fill it out while you're doing the paperwork for the car. customer service was good until after I signed the contract. Desmond, who claimed to be a manager lied to me on several occasions. I asked if the do inspections ; he said yes, on every vehicle. lie. It need an oil change, tune up, and a new air filter. They would have also seen the small oil leak. He showed me an auto check score from 81-90! Told me the lower the score, the better. Lied. Whatever you do, avoid drive time all together. If you have challenges on your credit, fix that first and go to a reputable dealer! Sometimes we learn the hard way. I am a customer. I purchased a 2013 Nissan through DriveTime Marietta GA. I have had this car less than a year. In the first 2 months the fuel distributer had to be replaced. Now the Catalytic converter and caskets and midpipe and caskets need to be replaced. When I purchased the vehicle I was told to go with this warranty because it covers everything engine related. Yet the warranty company refuses to cover the repairs claiming the catalytic converter Is not a major engine component. Which is ridiculous because the car can not run with it it. I have worked in car dealerships and service departments. I know cars. Every mechanic at the shop is dumbfounded that your company does not consider it to be a major engine component because it absolutely is. I am a single mother and at a total loss of what to do. I can not afford these repairs. I have a car that I am paying for with a warranty that I am paying for, and neither of which I can use. The car is not safe to drive. I have to get to work. Do I need to get a lawyer to fight this? What am I supposed to do? Just turned back in a 2014 Nissan Altima (VIN # 1N4AL3AP7EC283839) that had a clean Carfax and pristine interior and exterior but began having problems conveniently after the 7 day return period. I have had the car for about 3 weeks. The engine light is on and the car would hesitate on acceleration and the tachometer would rev up, with the car not shifting into the next gear. These things occurred in heavy traffic and I was almost hit on 2 occasions. I took the car to Pep Boys and after 2 days called to inquire on the status. Apparently, the codes coming up could only be read by a Nissan computer and they told me that Silver Rock (the warranty company)was notoriously slow about calling them back to give instructions on proceeding with the claim. The car was still under the 30 day/1500 mile initial warranty. Finally, I was told by Pep Boys that I could call Silver Rock ( the warranty company) for instructions. When I called, the rep asked me what was wrong with the car. Really? I mentioned the hesitation with the gear change and this guy immediately started looking for a transmission specialist, not even looking to see what was instructed. After guiding him to this fact, he did tell me to take the car to the nearest Nissan dealership. In the meantime, neither he nor Pep Boys were really volunteering what could possibly be the problem- I was given the impression that no one knew. However, while the warranty rep was talking his way through the instructions, I heard "sensors" and "pulleys" and decided that was enough. I signed the contract and bought the car "as is", but I should have had that thing checked out during the initial 7 days. There is no way the car went under any type of in depth inspection. The car repeated the hesitation twice just on my taking it back to the dealership. The problem was just getting progressively worse. When I walked in to turn in the keys, no one spoke but just looked at me as if I had lost my mind. I've done a lot of research since I started having trouble with the car and I'm pretty sure this is not the first time they've had such complaints. WORD TO THE WISE - if you decide to buy a car from these predators, get it checked out. Please. I wish to God I had. I've heard so many horror stories since, and can only say that I made a huge mistake. I have a friend out of state in the automotive business that told me to never rely solely on the Carfax, but to take the time to have the car checked. He also told me that DriveTime is a bit of a joke among other dealers, and that they are notorious for selling mechanically unsound products. Beware. Second time, we were suppose to pick up the vehicle and during inspection noted that the hood latch was defective which the salesman said that they knew but thought it was user error. They sent it to the shop to be fixed then contacted us when it was fixed asking if we still wanted it . We said yes so went back to dealership for the third time. The. Buyer beware!! I don't know if these reviews are on here are even real. I bought a 2012 Nissan Sentra with less then 60k miles on it. I have had nothing but problems with it. Broken struts, bad battery, electrical problems from the GPS they installed, catalytic converter was bad (which isn't supposed to be replaced until 120k miles), and now the exhaust manifold which is a $1300 repair). I haven't even been able to drive the car for months because I can't pass emissions. I'm currently seeking legal representation to file a lawsuit. Absolutely the worst most awful car buying experience. EVER. Called in to inquire about a 2008 Honda Accord I saw online. Was LIED TO by the sales person, Quentin, and told that the Honda was at their location. Came in: No Honda. Requested a different sales person, Reginald, who tried to sell me a different vehicle. Told him I was really interested in purchasing a Honda. He looked online and found the SAME Honda I had ORIGINALLY requested at a different location. Told me they could ship it to their location for a $600 "reservation" fee and that the $600 would apply to the purchase of the vehicle or if I decided I did not want to purchase it they would immediately refund the $600 to me. He also told me that ALL THEIR LOANS WERE NO MORE THAN THREE YEARS. Another Lie. Wait for it....Waited two days for the Honda to arrive. The Honda looked a lot older than it did in the pictures. SIDE NOTE: They take the vehicle pictures on a showroom floor with glaring lights that reflect on the outside of the vehicle to hide any scratches or other vehicle damage. Test drove the car. It was o.k. so I proceeded with the purchase. The sticker price for the car was 11k. Start signing the paperwork and looking over the fine print. NEWS FLASH: THIS 11K DOLLAR CAR'S FINAL SALES PRICE AFTER THEIR OUTRAGEOUS INTEREST RATE CAME TO A GRAND TOTAL OF 33,000!!!!! YES, YOU HEARD ME 33,000!!! That is TRIPLE the sales price. TRIPLE. I told them thanks, but no thanks. :/ The sales manager appears from nowhere. Asks me if there's a problem. I tell him I don't appreciate being lied to by Quetin about the Honda being at their location in the first place. I felt like they've been told to do that to bring you into their specific location. Kind of a "get them in" philosophy and then either request a vehicle transfer or push you into another vehicle. I tell him I also don't appreciate being offered a SIX YEAR car loan for 33,000 for a 2008 Honda Accord with one accident and two safety recalls. The car I had purchased was a 2017 Ford Fusion Hybrid and I love it! We took it for a test drive and she did a 100% walk around if the vehicle. Tested everything down to the windows. I just bought my Ford F 150 that I needed from Drivetime...I can not say how easy it was to get my loan...other dealerships quoted me very high interest rates or couldnt get me approved at all...I get paid 1099 and many banks dont accept that...and if I did get approved there was no warrany on the car and gap insurance was extra... Drivetime got me a reasonable rate and I like the idea that I can buy my rate down within the next 60 days, which obviously lowers my payment...at this point in time I would gladly recommend Drivetime to anyone that has credit issues or can't get approved elsewhere I do want to mention my salesman Carl who made the buying experience a great one..being an ex car salesperson... As soon as I drove the car off the lot, I had to put air in my tire. We thought it was because the temperature outside changing so mich. Everyday since, I have had to put air in the tire. I took it to Pep Boys to find out my rim is cracked. They sold me a car with a cracked rim. We told them about it since it hasn't been 30 days. They told me it was my fault and I have to pay the $350 to fix it myself. Absolutely ridiculous!!!! This business does not fix your car if you find problems. I am now having to find a way to pay to have my rim fixed. I can't drive past 45 miles per hour because of this rim that they missed when doing the inspection. Save your time and money and buy a car from a business that is true to their word when they say they do full inspections before buying cars and actually fix problems you find when it is in the warranty time frame! Let me start by saying this is the worst car buying experience I've ever had. I bought a 2007 Ford F-150 with the understanding that I had a thirty day bumper to bumper warranty. Seven days after I bought it I had it inspected with my regular mechanic. He came up with it needed a new transmission, a new power steering hose and a new headlight and fog light because they were broken. I submitted this to drive time and they referred me to there warranty department silver rock. The warranty department told me I had to go to there mechanic a meineke a half hour drive from my house. I took the truck there and had to wait eight days till they approved the transmission to be fixed. They did not approve the power steering hose and told me I would have to let it leek all over my driveway till it became a mechanical issue. I called back and after hours on the phone they said they would fix the power steering hose but not the broken headlight and fog light. It is supposed to be covered by the bumper to bumper warranty. So far it's been ten days in the shop with an expected seven more days till I get my truck back. Then out of pocket I will have to fix the headlight and fog light. Thanks drive time! This could have all been avoided if you just were honest and kept your word about the bumper to bumper warranty and fixed my truck the way it should be fixed. You should be ashamed! read more

Yes I purchased a vehicle to drive time about 4 weeks ago, I have no information on this vehicle I have yet to receive a tag or registration I call the dealership and spoke with the extremely urban person that's over the tag and title and come to find out that person didn't even contact the DMV to register the vehicle with the state until 2 weeks later after I purchase the car so I'm driving around with expired temporary tags, I called the Marietta Georgia location where purchased a car from and they don't have a clue what's going on, I assume that I'm supposed to taste 30000 for a vehicle and park it because I can't drive it on the streets because it has expired tag temporary tag that is I'm supposed to go to rent a vehicle that's about $350 a week and still pay Dr time how silly is that, they claim to be in the car business for over 10 years but they have no clue on how to get you a simple tag for all I know through drive time could very well be a stolen vehicle, I have no information on this vehicle that I finance through their company, and when I call the 800 customer service number they couldn't even give me the corporate number so they don't even know who they are working for, I finally get ahold of the corporate office and the lady called the dealership and the two of them can't even tell me a solution they tell me I have to take it up with the state of Georgia I tell them and seven days I'll park that car back on your lot someone else can deal with you.
