I was looking for a shred company that would come to my home and shred on site. Time was of the essence as I was doing a major clean out with a deadline. I called DRM on a Saturday and left a message and received a call back from the owner within an hour. He set me up with an appointment for Monday which was perfect. What a great idea, having a truck come to your home and pick up your docs and shred them either on site or at their facility, which is what I did. They went upstairs and brought down 8-10 banker boxes, which saved me a lot of heavy lifting. There were another 10 boxes in the garage, and they took care of them too. Yesterday morning I contacted Mike, the owner of DRM Document Scanning and Shredding Service to determine if I needed an appointment to bring four large bags of very sensitive documents for shredding. After a brief discussion, it was determined that I did not need an appointment and he gave me directions to the facility. Upon arrival at their very secure facility,I was met by one of his employees that brought a dolly to my truck and unloaded the bags. I was charged a very reasonable price for the service and provided with a receipt for my records. I declined the offer to remain present while the documents were being shredded, not because of an additional charge but because of the trustworthy feeling that I felt during this brief professional encounter. I called this company for scanning services. It turns out they are not in Irvine and they don't even provide scanning services. Apparently, they bought the domain name and they are selling leads to real scanning companies in the area. Consequently, they collected my information and I was bombarded with calls from vendors all over California. Save yourself some time and don't contact them! read more

This is a great place to go to in the San Fernando Valley if you have A LOT of important documents that needs to be shredded. It is quick, easy and the price is really reasonable. They gave me a large tote bag to fill my important documents and it only cost me $10 to shred it all. I used to spend hours or even days to shred my documents through a heavy duty shredder, but it wasn't heavy duty enough for me. If you're like me and know time is valuable, then come here. These guys are awesome. I am moving and made an appointment for DRM to come to the house and shred about 20 file boxes full of old bank and tax information. I told them I was flexible on the day they were to come and they kept me apprised of an arrival time. A very nice young man came in a very specialized truck and in around 20 minutes he loaded the documents and presto I had no more worries about identity theft I would have had if I put them in the trash or recycle cans. Had several boxes of documents shredded and the gentleman who helped me was very courteous and helpful. Helped me with the boxes both carrying them and out again. The place seems well run a maintained, just a little difficult to find. The price was reasonable, 10.00 per box. There was a 10.00 charge for watching the boxes being fed into the machine, which I was not expecting and which I had not heard of before. I will definitely be back with more boxes. It has a practical location, plenty of parking, in the back of a little shopping mall on Canoga Blvd. The people there are so helpful, and friendly.
