Dr. Kim is not a detail-oriented plastic surgeon. I had laser, lip lift and upper bleph at the same time. The lip lift left my entire upper lip (from nasal, down and around the lip and inside the lip) PERMANENTLY numb. I don't know if most people can recognize the consequences of this. The lip is always dry, chapped, peels a lot and very tight no matter how much chapstick I use. The area above my lip is white because of the numbness. I can't feel if my nose is running or bleeding, which it does frequently. It always feels like a "fat lip". Upper bleph: I have permanent eyeliner that was very expensive. He cut right through the eyeliner instead of going above it like on the other eye. I've spent $500 trying to get it fixed to no avail. The eyeliner will forever be uneven from side to side and look weird on one side. The laser: I have a small widows peak. He lasered that peak off. I lived through the growing back which was very awkward. Now the hair won't grow very long and has a mind of its own. It doesn't behave the way it used to and because it's always short, it's very hard to control. These may seem like small things but I mention them because he was very cavalier and arrogant when I came back in a year later. Please consider a different surgeon! If you get a possibly life threatening infection he'll gaslight you and won't offer help until another doctor calls him out for negligence. It was very obvious I had an infection and he kept telling me I was fine. Post treatment is supposed to be included in your original payment. He didn't want to give that to me and kept telling me its "very unlikely you have an infection." So I had to pay to go to urgent care two separate times for cellulitis. He didn't offer to help until I told him the other doctor said he was bordering on negligence with how obvious it was I had an infection from surgery. This type of infection is close to the eyes and brain. Could have caused me to go blind or possible death if I listened to him and didn't get it treated quickly. Please don't trust your life with an arrogant surgeon like him. Also, not even satisfied with his work. Still have a small bump when it was supposed to be slightly sloped and the tip is still big. I had an upper bleph April '25 and loved the experience from start to finish. I cannot say enough good things about the ladies in the office. They are kind, fun, helpful, and caring. I would stop in just to hang out if I lived closer. What I initially loved was their patience with me. I first reached out early in 2024, and Cynthia and team stayed in communication with me for almost a year until I finally did my photos and began the actual process. I saw a 1 star review bashing the photo experience but I thought it was incredibly helpful. Instructions were clear, and it saved me a trip down to the office. I got pretty detailed notes and very transparent pricing based on the photos I sent in. From there I chose the procedure (upper bleph) I wanted to start with, got scheduled in quickly, and loved the experience. I even had my incision pop open the night after my sutures were removed a week post op, and the staff answered my email and call at 9pm on a Monday night and had me in early the next day to get me closed back up again. I love that they do a pre-consultation email to help get an idea for what specifically they recommend based on the photos that I sent in- also, pricing was very transparent and provided via email from the photos that I sent in. I went to Dr.Kim to help with an issue I had with the skin underneath my eyes. People told me they didn't notice the issue, but I did and it affected my confidence. After asking my esthetician and others the same name came up. Don't go to anyone other than Dr.Kim. I listened and called. It took a little bit of courage because I don't like surgery or needles. But from the moment I called I knew I found the right place. The staff is amazing. So friendly and accommodating. These aren't procedures we necessarily need, but will help. So it's scary. They get that and take the time to explain everything. I can't say enough about the staff. The bedside manner of Dr. Kim is something I wish I could experience with every doctor. He's so calming. And he explains everything to the detail! I had no surprises. So onto the results. I look amazing! It was a small procedure but Dr. Kim gave me my confidence back and made me feel beautiful. I had a rhinoplasty performed by Dr. Kim in September 2024, and just one-month post-op, I'm already thrilled with the results! Dr. Kim has the invaluable ability to enhance his patients' features in a way that makes them look like an improved version of themselves while preserving their natural appearance. This quality is something I believe many of us hope to find in a surgeon. For context, I had been considering this surgery for several years but was reluctant to pursue it further due to fear of a poor outcome. Dr. Kim took the time to really listen to what I wanted--and what I wanted to avoid--and delivered just that in the OR. My recovery was smooth, quick, and painless. I took 2 weeks off of work, but honestly, could've returned by day three. He placed a splint for one week post-surgery, though it's easy to manage if you're comfortable wearing it in public. He performs piezo surgery which reduces the amount of swelling patients have. I noticed that my swelling was much less than what some of my friends experienced with traditional rhinoplasty. I flew to DC 10 days post op to visit my parents, and my dad didn't even notice I'd had anything done. Dr. Kim is more expensive than I initially planned, but saving up for him was absolutely worth it. A rhinoplasty is a one-time investment with the right surgeon, and it's worth the reassurance that you'll be happy with the result. For what it's worth, I looked into traveling to LA to get this done, but I found that his skill level is on par with surgeons there--and is more affordable. We're lucky to have him here. Overall, Dr. Kim is an incredibly skilled and talented surgeon who focuses on natural results. His office staff is also extremely kind, helpful, and welcoming, making the whole process seamless. I will never forgive you for destroying what I look like and how I feel about myself.For having no shame in changing my face differently than what I asked, than what you showed me you were going to do. For gaslighting me and having the nerve to think I should pay for your choice to do that to me. I hate what I look like. I have cried nearly every day since having that surgery. I was beautiful before. I can't even be around people because of how self conscious I am about my face. I've deleted all of my social media, because even strangers commented on how I looked better before. I agree with them I just wanted to be able to breathe and have a nose closer to what I had before I was assaulted but you made me unrecognizable. My family doesn't recognize me. I'm so ugly now. You gave me a nose that "everyone wants". I specifically mentioned how I didn't get it done in la because I didn't like how they did rhinoplasty. I came to you multiple times about "why is the tip pointed up" and you just said "it will come down with healing" you lied to me and destroyed how I feel about myself. I was confident before. I cannot believe you think you're right in your responses to this situation. How do you sleep at night knowing you did this to someone and having the nerve to say they need to pay you again? You should be paying your staff out of pocket to correct your mistake, not charging someone you destroyed physically and emotionally. Then to be condescending to me about my finances? Because I was angry I paid you 3x what I could have with another doctor? That likely wouldn't have just went rogue. I didn't know I would need two surgery's. I didn't know you were so unethical. You changed the result without telling me. I waited 12 years to get this done and paid attention to your work for years before booking. WHY did you do this to me???? I've never been so depressed in my entire life. He gave my nose a slope, I didn't ask for, Rotated my nose up and removed an inch of the tip- I never asked for that. I literally wanted the smallest part of the bridge corrected and narrowed tip. Never once did I mention rotation or tilting it up. The photoshopped images he showed me of what he was going to do- Images I was excited for. The shock I experienced when I was finally healed (because I swelled beyond recognition) If you're a woman and considering doing this, run. Save yourself. $14k to destroy my face. Then tell me I have to pay and additional $4k to TAKE A RIB GRAPH to rebuild my nose because he removed so much of it. I have never ever had low self esteem, this is so screwed up. I deserve my money back, so I can go to a real doctor who can fix what he did to me who won't destroy my trust and rob me of not only money, but my mental well being. read more

I don't even understand the explanation of the horizontal plane etc. What does that even mean? This is very confusing and I do not think this is going to go over well with clients: Here are the instructions from Dr. Kim's office: "Below are the various poses that we require to give Dr. Kim the most visual information possible. Poses 1-6 must be taken in the Frankfort Horizontal Plane which determines a neutral head position. In order to create this position, draw an imaginary plane from the top of the ear canal to the bottom of the eye socket. This plane should be parallel to the floor. Poses 7 and 8 are not in this plane and should be taken using the directions below." I have waited 8 months for a consultation, and I am completely confused by the photo directions you are requesting. Please cancel my appointment. Nice Doctor but.....I went to Dr. Kim 2 years ago for a revision Rhinoplasty.My nose had pretty bad scar tissue from previous surgeries but he assured me that he could do my surgery.This was all while he was starting up his new location and offices.He charged me a pretty good amount of money.I decided to go through with it because of his experience.After a year he had to do a revision for a bump that I didn't have before.I still have a slight bump even after 2 revisions with him.To be fair my situation was a bit complicating but I would suggest saving your money and going to Beverly Hills with a more experienced surgeon if you are considering a revision rhinoplasty.His prices are very competitive. read more
