Soooo happy with my results!!!! I spent a long time researching cosmetic surgeons, both here and in California before I decided on Dr. Lee. His website "before and after" photo gallery is really impressive. He does a number of various procedures exceptionally well. Forget the myth that you need a "specialist" for each procedure you require. Dr. Lee is a fantastic surgeon, with a great artistic eye. More importantly, he is an absolute perfectionist when it comes to incisions and their healing. I am four months out from a tummy tuck and breast reduction. The results are amazing .. I had blepharoplasty one year ago and had some complications like dry eye and ptosis and even had another physician question my results . Dr Lee became very defensive when questioned about his work and brushed me off telling me nothing was wrong. If you have concerns with your procedure he will not be willing to discuss with and help you. read more

I waited too long to do this review but it all keeps coming back to my mind and I feel it's the right thing to do. In October of 2023 I went in for a routine mammo and my primary doctor found that I had chronic bilateral silicone implant rupture with silicone in my lymph nodes. I had been experiencing chronic fatigue, hair loss and joint pain. In other words, Breast Implant Illness. I was told by my primary that I should try to get them removed promptly. So I started looking for a surgeon. I instantly wanted to go back to doctor Mia Skourtis who had put my implants in 10 years prior because I loved her and she did a great job on my surgery. However, she was not available for several more months. I started searching for the next best thing and came across Dr. John S. Lee in Portland Oregon. His website and reviews seemed great over all and the consultation went good with friendly staff. I thought I had made a great decision. His office told me that they did not take insurance but that if I payed upfront they would help me by giving me a discount and the insurance codes to file my claim myself. So I went for it and had surgery in November of 2023. A few days after surgery I came back to the office to take off the bandages for the first time. I sobbed. Dr Lee was not even there and it was just me, my husband and a nurse. I had implant removal with a lift and did not want implants back in but was looking for just more of a healthy and a natural look. Dr. Lee removed the implants, capsulectomy and did a lift but he left my right breast nonexistent. Both breasts are super small because I was small before and then you add a lift and you will lose a half cup size or so. But the right side is completely flat. So as I said, I sobbed that day and the nurse told me to give it time and they will "fluff". It has been two years at least the one has never fluffed. After that visit I walked out feeling sad but hopeful. In the meantime I continued on trying to file the insurance claim. This is where everything else fell apart. It took me almost 7 months to finally get a resolve. After trying to file the claim dozens of times all while trying to heal emotionally and physically, nothing was working for me to get my money back through insurance and his office became so rude to me. I made dozens of phone calls, countless hours on hold with insurance and one day I was told that he was actually "in my network" and that he should have never taken my money but that by law he was supposed to follow his binding contract and work through insurance. At that point I felt so taken advantage of and neglected as a patient. His receptionist Gina was so rude to me. I have all of the emails, results, screenshots from my medical claims, etc. After almost 7 months the final day came that I threatened their office with a lawyer because I was tired and upset. She finally reimbursed me the money owed back to me that they should not have taken. Since then I can see they went through my insurance as they should have done and got their money through the binding contract they had. Besides all of this I have ongoing pain in my right breast and have had to see so many doctors, trying to get resolve on my pain. Dr. Lee has never personally reached out to me and the lack of patient care on his part has left me with no help from the doctor that operated on my body. I would not recommend. My advice, do your own research and talk with insurance. If a doctor is in your network they have a legal binding contract wit the insurance company. It doesn't mean they have to operate on you but if they do then they have to bill insurance. Also, talk very clearly about expected results and what they can do if it is not ok. read more

I am pretty dang upset with my results. I originally had a lollipop breast lift + implants done with Dr John s Lee, my breast ended up just looking like big saggy breast instead of small saggy breast before spending the $10k, which if I knew that was the case I would have never done it. My insecurity was the saggyness, not the size. So now I have large saggy breast, my scars did not heal well, mostly due to some stitches never fully dissolving which make "blotches" of messed up scarring right at the bottom of my areolas. I also noticed my breast were more oval shaped than round, and looked weird from the side. Pretty dang upset with these results.... I contact the office and we decide to go for another lift as well as a nipple reduction, this time an anchor lift. Well here I am with still large saggy breast even after 2 breast lifts, except I now have TWO different size nipples & worse scarring. One nipple is very noticeably much larger than the other, you can instantly see it the second you look. One areola is much larger and one is much smaller and more oval shaped. How embarrassing every single day when I get dressed I notice this, even if I am wearing a slightly see through t shirt you can see the size difference. I also have one round decent looking breast, meanwhile one is completely square looking with a flat spot that literally looks like I have a large dent in my breast. From the side one breast is round and the other breast is completely flat. My scarring on my areolas is still terrible from the stitches never fully dissolving either but that's the least of my worries. The dent and misshape in my breast is so noticeable that you can see it in clothing. It's very very unflattering and embarrassing, I'm so upset I spent the money for this outcome, and here I am having to spend much more money to have them fixed just so I don't hate my body and choice to have this done. I brought this to Dr John s lees attention and had a consultation and he did not spend any time on the problem and quickly pretty much told me nothing is wrong with my breasts. I feel like the second surgery just messed me up more and did not fix any problems, idk if it was just no effort into fixing me or what. Meanwhile I straight up look botched. I am almost 2 years from my last surgery and I still hate myself for this, and think about it every single day. I have been going back and fourth on writing a review or reaching out again and have finally decided to just go ahead and write a review to warn others of a possible outcome getting surgery here I will attach a photo showing one of my problems that even shows through clothing. read more

My nose wasn't the worst but it was something I was very self conscious about. I didn't have a smooth curved up nose and my tip isn't pointed up. My mother, my aunt and I have all had facial work done with Dr. Lee so I have gone through the pre and post op with him 3 times with 3 different people. He has never seemed rushed or like there was somewhere else he needed to be. Questions were answered professionally and warmly. He also has a very naturally calm demeanor so you just feel calm. That's not to say that he doesn't provide you with a very realistic assessment of what the process will be like and what results you will get. I made an appointment for a consultation and filler weeks ago for Botex and Juvederm and the front desk said to come at 1:00 for both. I was very excited about this all the way over there. Well, the lady Paige who does Cosmetic injections was suggesting all these things for fillers and the cost for just 1 syringe of Juvederm was 850 dollars and then she wanted to go get the surgeon to see me and he wasn't there. She also said when people come in that she has done 7 or 8 syringes. Well, that told me she wanted bigger fish to fry, and I was not a good candidate for her time. So, after the consultation she said there was no time left and I couldn't have it done as planned. I've gone to many places in the past and never had this problem. They understood what I wanted and I was very happy after leaving. Not this place because they always want to do what they want and I'm not that picky. I know that Dr. Lee must be a fine surgeon, but he should eliminate the lady from his office permanently. read more

I can't say enough great things about Dr. Lee and his expertise. The man is an artist yet practical and honest about possible outcomes. He's performed two procedures for me. I researched every top cosmetic surgeon in this area and a couple in Seattle and came back to Dr. Lee because he seemed the most knowledgeable, most experienced and measured in his judgement. He took the time to explain the procedures and he never talked down to me. I got that quite a bit from others even when I came in asking informed questions. Dr. Lee performed an upper and lower eye lift for me 5 years ago and I thought he did a fabulous job. It's holding up well too. He also used fat transfer to lift my cheeks a bit and provide a more youthful appearance. Some surgeons don't offer this option but it really makes a difference in facial procedures. The operation was a gentle experience and I awoke feeling wonderful from the Ketamine. Then, this year I had a procedure that I've put off far too long. I had a breast augmentation when I was 26 and I'm now 59. I've needed to have this implant exchange for 33 years. In the last 3 years I've had pain so I knew it was definitely time but was afraid of the outcome. I went to a number of doctors for consultation and they all seemed a bit timid to take my case. One even referred me to another doctor saying "I don't take your type of case". I couldn't believe he had the nerve to earn his living putting them in, but was no help to women who needed correction. Not a skilled surgeon in my view. After talking to them I realized I felt the most comfortable with Dr. Lee, already knowing his skill level, and I hoped he was as practiced with implant exchange as he was with facial surgery. He was honest with me and explained the possible outcomes and what might be done to correct the issues I'd had with my old implants. After considering the info. he provided, I put my trust in him. The surgery was 5 hours long. I'm healed now and it's only been a month and they are better than the augmentation I had when I was 26. I also feel much better having the old implants removed and exchanged for better ones. If you ever need this procedure, don't be afraid...go to Dr. Lee. I only hope he doesn't retire before I can get one more thing done in the next few years. His prices are also very reasonable compared to other surgeons. Thank you Dr. Lee for your care and artistry. I consulted two doctors for a rhinoplasty. The first office I felt was a hard sell for every product from Botox to a facelift. In fact I am still receiving emails from them promoting specials and ads. I went to Dr. Lee as a family member had a rhinoplasty and the results were fantastic! Not over the top, not that pinchy look, it was so natural. I am so glad I did as Dr. Lee is fabulous! After many years of waiting I finally made a choice to get a rhinoplasty to fix a very old fracture, bump and bend in my nose. Dr. Lee was considerate, kind, very calming, and completely professional. He listened to what I wanted, talked to me about what he could do, and what the results might be. From the consultation to the surgery to the follow up everything went smooth and perfect. My nose was done one month ago. The day the bandage came off I could see the difference and was brought to tears of joy. I wish I had done this years ago. My nose is AMAZING! You are in good hands with Dr. Lee! Dr. John S. Lee is wonderful! A kind man who tells you what is needed and recommended in straight forward manner with no UPselling. He did eyelid surgery on me that was needed due to upper lids sagging due which was age related. Also he eliminated the slight hollow area under my eyes by injecting fat to plump up that area. The fat was removed from my belly area. Even better was that I was pleasantly surprised that having both upper and lower lids done with slight enlargement of the opening around my eyes improved periferal vision where I can now see to the left and right about 25% improvement. For a few years I have been very unhappy with my lips, as I've gotten older (43) I have noticed that my lips were disappearing. The lines around my mouth were deep and progressively getting worse. After much research I scheduled an appointment to get my lips plumped back to their once pretty shape. Quenby was amazing! She didn't try to oversell sell me on things I didn't need. In fact she said my bottom lip was fine and didn't need filler at this time. I couldn't be more pleased with what she achieved. I had intended in getting one or two treatments of fraxel and made an appointment here. I was told I needed to come in for a "consultation" first. What that really was, was a campaign to get me to buy either a $5000 package of fraxel (one or two was not enough) or to get me to buy the deeper lazer treatment. The one where you have a couple weeks of downtime, have to wear bandages and have skin weeping and blistering. The only thing really wrong with my skin is a few age spots and maybe my pores could be a bit tighter. I just wanted a refresher. I did not want to sign up for a very painful surgery type thing. I just wanted a couple of fraxel appointments because I understood that it was just an exfoliation. The fact that this woman PRESSURED me and PRESSURED me was such a turn off. Once she realized I was only going to spend $1400 on a couple of treatments she totally lost interest in me and was rude and I had to walk myself to the front desk and basically beg for an appointment for fraxel. She just walked out and met with someone else, leaving me to figure out where the appointment desk was. None of my questions were answered about fraxel and there was no discussion of the procedure. So much for that "consultation" ...I did make an appointment but when I got home - I thought about how rudely I was treated and I called back and canceled. read more

I did my consultation for breast augmentation a year ago with Dr. Lee he was awesome and I was very excited. I wanted to save for a bigger chunk to put down so now a year later I'm ready to make my appointment. I called and made an appointment for just a couple months from now however since my consultation was a year ago nothing is fresh in my brain anymore. Every time I call to ask a question the same lady rushes to get off the phone and it reallllly turned me off. A friend of mine went to a different doctor so thinking why not, I did a consultation somewhere else today. This doctor however is going to be more expensive than dr. Lees office and being so stuck on how awesome lee himself is I walked in thinking it would just be a nice refresher. After my consult I called doctor lees office again trying to get more info on what we decided to do for me, and be refreshed on the break down of my bill (as the paper I have just has the total and no break down.) After talking with my husband we've decided that the environment means a lot. I got a great vibe from both doctors so it comes down to how I'm treated as a patient. Being told "ok bye" half way through a question or when I have many more questions to be asked (bc I am changing MY body) I've sadly decided to go with the other doctor. I went there in 2010 and was treated with complete respect. they took the time to answer all my questions spent extra time making sure I knew everything and made the right choices. Afterwards Patti always was right there from me if I called with a concern. The results where perfect! I was recommended to Dr. Lee by a friend who said her mother-in-law had had the same procedures I was looking to have done (upper and lower eye lift, chin/neck tightening and fat implanted into my cheekbone area plus a little fat added to my lips).
