a group of people playing drums

I was super excited to be around for the Drum Circle. It happens every Sunday at dusk! It appears to be dependent on who shows up. There were a handful of drummers and a few people with hula hoops. People say in a circle and people could come into the circle at their will. It was okay to me. I guess I thought I'd see more people twirling around in the middle as well as lots of drumming and tiki torches. That was not the case.

Bring your artistic side out. This is a local gathering every Sunday from about 5- sunset. If you drum - bring it Hoola hoop- swing those hips Tambourine - shake it Jump in - dance Participate - don't just stand around and watch It is so much more fun that way But if you are too timid - it's ok everyone just smiles at this weekly ritual

Every Sunday night on Siesta Key Beach you will hear the sound of drums. This is the Siesta Key drum circle which usually begins 1 hour or so before sunset and ends at dark. The drum circle is a circle of people of all ages playing drums, dancing, and having a good time, celebrating the good life.

Great music. Definitely a fun thing to do on a Sunday. It's hard to watch the entertainment, but listening is just a fun.

We were seated outside immediately but because it's love bug season, we switched to an indoor table. Marley was our server, so nice and friendly, she did a great job.the menu is nice sized, something for everyone. The window where the food comes out looks like a converted VW van and adorable for the location. I ordered a pineapple lemon drop and it was really so good! Meaning, it didn't taste like I was drinking rubbing alcohol. Garnished with a cute pineapple wedge, I could drink 100 of them! As for food, I would strongly suggest The Native sandwich. Weird that the fish is served on toasted raisin bread but such a great concoction. Come and eat here!

But there's a reason behind this. The owner is on site quite a bit it's nice to see him. While the place certainly has quite a few miles on it mostly because it keeps getting beat up during hurricanes it bounces back. Feel free to bring a dollar and staple a dollar to the ceiling or if you're a copper firefighter bring your patch and they will hang it proudly. When I'm on vacation I like my food very simple. A simple double smashburger and fries 100% does me in. For servers are definitely all smiling another staple and not really an expectation but I'm so glad to see it. My wife got a chicken quesadilla not really adventurous again for the same reason. The beers are cold the servers are beautiful and everything is right with the world when I can sit down at siesta key oyster bar.

Plus who doesn't like cheaper raw oysters from 3-6PM EVERYDAY??! Servers were friendly and efficient. I like how you can nail a written on dollar bill on the wall. It's a cute, interactive idea. Raw oysters 10/10: Juicy, flavorful. Fresh. Everything oysters should be. I could've easily slammed 2 dozen by myself. Po Boy Oyster 10/10: This was fried the best considering we went to other restaurants and ordered the same dish. We'd be happy to have this meal again. Seafood quesadilla 8/10: Can't go wrong with this! I have a small appetite but still almost ate the whole thing.

I got the shrimp cocktail as an appetizer and it was good, family got the oysters and loved them. My wife got a filet mignon and absolutely said it was the best meals she's had with the potatoes and mixed vegetables. I got the Delmonico (sp?) steak. I asked for medium and got medium well. It was good but lacked seasoning. Kids got NY strips and said they were good just like most steaks. The service was very slow although the waiter we had did very good but was also bartending so it made everything slower. We waited a while to get drinks and order. Food came pretty quick though. That was the downfall of the night was just the slow refills and service but he did the best he could. The Deep Six was not busy so I can only assume he had to help upstairs as well. Maybe they just don't have enough staff at the moment. Food was good but for the price I did expect better results. The wife said a 10 out of 10 on her food though.

We sat on the dock overlooking the water and it was very relaxing. They had live violin music that was calming and enjoyable to listen to.
