We had dinner at The Beach Club last night and we were less than impressed. I had the mango coconut shrimp. It was so burnt that it had no flavor other than char. I ordered a margarita. When it hadn't arrived with my order, I reminded the server . She had not even placed the order as the proceeded to the bar and put the order in. By the time I got my drink, o was finished with my meal. My husband ordered the brisket sandwich. It was very gristly and tasteless. To me this is comfort food. They also have boils that you can build your own bring your friends for the boils they start at 3 pounds of meat. Worst experience ever! I went there with my family and it was so loud! The band was playing 20 notches too loud we couldn't even have a table conversation! We were counting down until the band had their 15 minute break. Next, our waitress was super weird and forgot tons of stuff we ordered. Wow !! We had such a good time here and I really want to shout out the staff! This is the first time we've been here but I guess this is a completely redone space and they have it really nicely set up. The manager put us in the VIP section since there was 7 of us and even though we were just drinking, they took really really good care of us. The manager even came out and gave us some fish dip to try and between her and our server (a cute Australian I think her named started with an A) we got the best service I've had in a Long time. We loved looking at the albums on the wall and loved the live music. Drinks were great and very well priced !! My family wanted to go somewhere we have never been. I wish I still have never been there because of how horrible it was. The service a alright. Though, she forgot a lot of stuff we ordered. The food the WORST! I got the kids hot dog and here are the characteristics: Color: Black Size: Small Taste: Not like a hot dog and burnt It was the worst hot dog I have ever had. Did you see I said small? Yes, all of my families plates were small. My dad got the ribs and he only got one rib. My family was joking and saying, "Is this the main meal or the snack?" We stayed 7 days, wont be back. Not terrible but very strange. Exterior clean, well maintained, not so inside. Rooms MUCH smaller than pics indicate, comically small, queen bed fills almost all the tiny bedroom. Dresser is INSIDE the small closet, no other place for it. 3 drawers, but one filled w/extra bed linens, so really two. Two ironing boards, no iron. Bedroom TV not working, 1 tiny wall lamp to light entire3 room. Living/dining are very narrow, galley kitchen SO narrow (26" at one point) that narrow door from AC unit hits the fridge handle opposite! Table VERY wobbly, legs missing 2 rubber feet, we shoved cardboard under there. No staples like salt, pepper, sugar, paper towels, weird for a kitchenette unit. Cabinets held weird things; dead flashlight, deteriorated plastic utensils, old deteriorated Teflon pans (DO NOT USE!) Strange mashup of dish, glass & flatware. Tiny dishwasher top rack unusable: it hangs off 8 rollers but 5 are missing. Soap in dishwasher cup will not dissolve, you have to crumble it up & dump it in. Ice maker doesn't work, there's 2 white ice trays. Counter top badly scratched, phone in room doesn't work. Bath has rust & black mold on trim & caulking, see pics. Major trouble w. door lock. I'm handy, I can finesse a stubborn lock, this was a bad one. Twice the office lent me a can of WD40, I cleaned & lubed it best I could, still bad. Office is "open" 9-5 but they arrive late, leave early, often no one in there. Friendly tho. Strangest of all, on 4th day the pool heater malfunctioned, ENTIRE large swimming pool heated to 103 degrees, like the hot tub! I reported it twice, it stayed that way until we left. No one used the pool. This place is outwardly clean, but deeply neglected. Most of the good reviews are several years old. For nearly $400/night (after fees & fees & fees & taxes) for 1 bedroom, mid-April, it disappointed. It has good location and high ceilings. read more

The bouncers at this place are thugs! Read the reviews and beware. My friends ID was broken by the bouncers because he believed it was fake. Four stars for game night! Tuesday night trivia was a lot of fun. Met some new people and put our heads together. After Trivia comes Bingo! I went to the Beach Club over Halloween weekend while in town for a wedding. I have very mixed feelings about the bar. We went first on Thursday night. They have an all you can drink $15 Thirsty Thursdays promotion. The bar had a small crowd and football on all of their TVs. There were a mixture of some 20 years olds but a lot of 50 year olds as well. It reminded me of a college sports bar with the general atmosphere. We also went back the Saturday before Halloween. There was a $5 cover and a live band then a DJ. The place started with a light crowd but was packed by 11. The majority of the people in the bar were in their late 20's and early 30's. It had more of a club vibe then a bar. The shot girls and bartenders were all in costume, so I give them credit for that. The band was solid, and the place was hopping. If you want a sit down at a bar this isn't the place for you. If you are looking for a place to just get hammered with this would work for you and you will likely have a good time. 3 1/2 stars really but will round up for them! OK, here's the thing: this seems to be the only club on the little Siesta Key strip. Because it's the only place to dance you get a really big mix of people as young as 21, as old as 70. In heels, in flip flops. ALL OF IT. Everyone in one place trying to have a good time. Their set up seems to be to have a live band followed by the DJ at 10:30 or so, then another quick set by the band and finally the DJ stays for the rest of the short night. 2am. That's early to close in my book. The Friday cover band was good but their song choices were tragic during the first set. Same for the DJ. The first couple of songs were just not "clubby" enough. We arrived early around 10pm. Luckily we stuck around. We slipped the DJ a note with requests and he played them almost right away. That was awesome! (thanks!) The second set by the band was pretty good and the DJ picked it up several notches. Drinks were very inexpensive ($5 for a Heineken or a Red Stripe????) They also carry the Skinnygirl brand which I thought was very cool. The Saturday set up was a little better. The band had better choices and the DJ jammed from the get go. Then again, we got there later so maybe they also had a slow start? Overall it was very clean (including bathrooms), security was everywhere and was very nice too (do you ladies know there is a bouncer named CHRISTIAN? he was getting a lot of attention. I wonder why?) and the a/c was just nice to cool off from the heat. Yes, it's touristy but given the lack of choices they delivered and we had a great time. If you want to dance while in Siesta, head here! ONLY NEGATIVE? People are allowed to smoke inside. Yuck! read more

First and foremost This is all out of love I'm concerned for the bartenders well being and I think her needs need to be addressed she seemed like she was really going through it. Whoever the manger is I really think you need to check up on her as soon as possible! Perhaps maybe more staff so she can feel less lonely and less stressed by all the work she has to do on a Tuesday afternoon. No one should be that miserable in beautiful siesta key the sunshine capital of the world. Blonde had her own personal storm cloud following her behind the bar. The bouncers need to do a better job circulating in the crowd and watching suspicious people. Last night my daughter set her purse down with a friend to go dancing and when the friend was looking the other way, a woman swooped up her small purse and started walking away. By the time someone from the bar could help, the woman had vanished. She's described as a very large frame, African-American woman, very heavyset and was hostile when asked if she accidentally picked up the purse. I'm giving two stars because the management did share the video with the cops and they were able to see the theft, but could not identify the woman. Patrons beware, do not leave any valuables off of your person. I've personally been to this club and it's very popular because of the great music and great bar staff. But they need to invest more money for security, and by the way the floors are super sticky and stinky, call a janitorial company and get that fixed please. read more

Locals hangout and very chill by day, wild and energetic at night! They really know how to party here on a Friday night! The DJ was excellent, the security was tight, and drinks were cheap. Went here on a Wednesday and was pleased to find out it was ladies night. Upon entry we were charged $7 each and were able to drink all night. The drinks not only tasted very weak, but like they were made with the cheapest liquor that they could find. Not really sure what I expected for $7 though. There was a waitress coming around with Jell-O shots and vodka soaked gummy bears each for $4. The crowd was filled of people of all ages. There are 2 parts to my review. The first is the actual club, which gets 3 stars (maybe 3.5). It's exactly what you expect; the only nightclub in a sleepy town in Florida. If you catch the right night and DJ, the crowd can be quite decent and the music bang-on. Yes, there is a great variety of ages. Sometimes, too much 60+ for my liking. I've been here 3 years in a row for girls' weekend(s) and have never not seen an old dude in here. Having said that, it's not a deal-breaker. What gets 5 stars is the service. I'm speaking to you, Jeff. I've been to nightclubs in NYC, Toronto, Vegas and in Europe. I've NEVER had service like this. We took care of Jeff with generous tips, but I never had to do more than look at him and my drink was in my hand 3 seconds later. We came to this bar for our last night of vacation. There were many creepy men in and out of the club. We ended up leaving because the bouncers weren't seeing it. When we got home, my boyfriend went unresponsive and was rushed to the ER. It was confirmed he was roofied and hospital and EMS confirmed this happens often here.
