Rebekah T.

I'm always walking through this neighborhood around lunch time and yesterday this sign caught my eye, "1/2 Sandwich with soup or salad special, $4.99". I'm always looking for a good cheap lunch, so I peeked in and mentally bookmarked it for the next day. So today, my coworker and I headed down to Drumm Liquor and Deli. I ordered a 1/2 Peppered Turkey with Cheddar, everything on it, on a Dutch crunch roll and a side green salad. It was pretty big for a 1/2 of a sandwich and the salad was more than just a side salad. Unfortunately there are no pictures of my lunch since I was half way through it before I realized it. They serve Boar's Head Meat and Cheeses, have really fresh salads and sides, chocolates and have one of the largest Liquor selections I've seen downtown. The people there were very friendly and my lunch was very good, nice to find another cheap FiDi find.

Falafel special

The falafel special at Drumm Liquor and Deli is a great deal for lunch under $5 in the Fidi. I wanted a change from the usual so I decided to get it while my colleague got a sandwich down the street. It's a generous serving of falafel, hummus, and tahini accompanied by some lettuce ad tomato. (http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/P0vM82qgihv1QD-BIxXlNg?select=D4Yy2NaIphbHJorkcXyi-A) Nothing fancy, but nothing too wrong about it either. While it seemed like a good idea when I ordered it, I was all falafel-ed our by the time I was done with lunch. Don't think I'm gonna crave falafel too soon. But Drumm Liquor and Deli appears to have much more to offer that warrants a return visit. From sandwiches to wraps and yes... lots of liquor. Extra shout-out for keeping the store and prep area really clean and the lines moving fast. Oh and they take cards too!

A wine place, snack place, convenient store, even a home made sandwiches place. Excellent service, well mannered employees. You find the usual stuff, and some cool stuff you have not seen in years.

The good; you can get what you want. The bad; very pricy, caters to tourism. It's the only shop around here.

Would never recommend, the mark up on their wine is insulting e.g. see their cupcake wine prices

Pro: -Good…read moreselection of beer in an area that has a lot of liquor stores with really bad variety. Cons: -It's North Beach, and this store is located right at Broadway/Columbus. This means walking the gauntlet of bros, hoes, and other unpleasant riff raff. Verdict: While the staff is nice enough, I'd make the extra trek to Coit Liquors if at all possible.

I visit this store at least twice a week. The guys there are awesome, always helpful and quick, and ask me about work or my boyfriend. They actually listen and learn things about you, which I like. They also seem to fall in love with all my friends who visit from out of town, and one of them has a crush on my mom and keeps asking when she's coming back. The liquor is overpriced but you can't beat the convenience of this kind of store literally 1 minute from your front door. They also carry Kinder Bueno, Kinder Eggs, and those awesome Kinder sticks of chocolate with the creepy smiling Swedish looking kid. They have a scary big selection of Clif bars too. And all kinds of mini bottles. Tons of drunk snacks. I love this store. I love it's comforting yellow awning, whenever I go underneath it I know I'm going to exit with snacks and liquor and it's going to be the start of a good night out or the end of one. Oh, and they also had Coke Blak for a very long time after it was discontinued, which might be why I didn't know it was discontinued. Sniff sob.

The club has a long-standing reputation among cigar enthusiasts and offers a very different experience compared with typical cigar shops or public lounges. The atmosphere immediately reflects its private club identity. The interior feels refined and traditional, with leather seating, wood accents, and the kind of quiet sophistication associated with classic cigar lounges. Rather than a busy nightlife venue, the environment encourages conversation, relaxation, and appreciation of cigars in a calm setting. The experience centers around cigar culture. Members bring or store their cigars and gather to enjoy them in a comfortable lounge environment. The space feels designed for those who appreciate the ritual of cigar smoking, where time is spent discussing blends, sharing stories, and building community with other members. Service during the visit felt professional and attentive, maintaining the club's polished atmosphere. The staff help ensure the space remains welcoming while preserving the exclusivity and etiquette associated with a private cigar club. From a global travel perspective, Occidental Cigar Club reminded me of traditional cigar clubs I have encountered in cities like London, Madrid, and Miami where the culture of cigar appreciation is tied to tradition, craftsmanship, and conversation.
