Royal Flush pastrami on a Dutch Crunch
    Rudy H.

I appreciate neighborhood delis that makes sandwiches to order. They are a true definition of neighborhood shops and they're feeding the community around them ya know? It also shows that they care and they willing to think, and do the work by making sandwiches from scratch and knowing all the recipes and not only just selling items and dry goods. People were nice, welcoming and they welcome small talk and conversation. I've had the Royal Flush (Pastrami on a Dutch Crunch) that was tasty and pretty good in size for $12.00 Remember, they stop making sandwiches at 6:00 PM.

Ramsi always makes the best sandwiches here! Very generous portions and fairly priced; it's become my go-to spot for lunch. He also has a great wine/liquor selection

It offers a great selection of wines, beers, and spirits at fair prices. The staff is friendly and helpful, making it easy to find what you need. The store is clean, organized, and has a welcoming vibe. Definitely worth a visit! And they have my favorite tequila *FORTALEZA* they have the Blanco, Reposado and Anejo, and they priced really well!!

I just moved into the neighborhood, and one of my good neighbors recommended coming here for lunch! He raved about the owner, Ramzi, and no lies were detected when I visited! The market is very clean, bright, and airy. I called ahead of time to order a Three 3 Queens Sandwich ($10.99), and it was ready in under 10 minutes on a week day during lunchtime. There's outdoor seating, but I took it to-go. The sandwich was large and delicious, and I'll be back to try some of their other offerings as well as some wine and champagne when I need some last-minute drinks for game night or other events I host or attend!

After doing happy hour and dinner nearby, my girlfriend and I wanted to keep the party going. We were drinking wine throughout dinner, so we decided to stick with that and get more red wine. We stopped by Pine & Jones Market on Friday, January 20th around 10:30pm. My gf ended up buying a bottle of Yellow Tail Cabernet Sauvignon 2016. I think she was the one who ended up picking the wine. This was fine by me as I just wanted a table red at a decent price. I'm into my ten buck chucks. I think this one was priced around $10, maybe less. Good for ending our night since this was our second bottle of wine after HH and dinner. I didn't look around much, but the store seemed to have your standard offerings. Beer, wine, snacks, etc. The cashier was super nice and we were rung up quickly. Fast and efficient. That's all I need from a convenience store. I typically go to another store down the street, but if I'm heading this way, Pine & Jones Market fits the bill.

Happen to be in the city and stopped in. I was instantly greeted with hospitality and was made one of the most delicious pastrami sandwiches in a long time. The market is so organized and clean, deli looks so sanitary and Ramsi makes a phenomenal sandwich which took less than five minutes;and it sucks that I can't find a good deli around where I live that charges an arm and a leg for crap sandwiches( which I never can finish) Thanks Ramsi, I will savior the other half when I get back to homebase. My city sandwich spot whenever I get a chance to come down!

Actually, I hardly ever go to Safeway anymore. Shelves are always well stocked, store is very clean, and just a pleasant place to shop at. I've never tried the food at the self-serve buffet, but it usually looks pretty fresh. I like that it's never too crowded here, so you can maneuver your way around the aisles easily.

In one incident over a year ago, another customer verbally harassed me and threatened physical harm while I was shopping. Her child was left unattended and was knocking items over, which I reported to security. The guard failed to do his job and did not intervene appropriately. When a supervisor arrived, the situation was handled much more professionally. I should feel safe shopping in my local market. That guard no longer works there, but the experience was upsetting and difficult to move past. Unfortunately, in January 2026, I encountered similar issues with a new security guard. He has repeatedly followed me around the store without cause. Most recently, he approached me unnecessarily, stood uncomfortably close, and spoke to me in an intrusive manner while I was selecting items. His behavior showed poor training and a lack of respect for personal boundaries. These repeated experiences with security staff are negatively affecting the atmosphere at Woodlands. I am a respectful, regular customer and do not want to feel uncomfortable or monitored without cause when shopping. Proper security training and professionalism are essential for customer safety and trust.

In fact, you can snag some good deals on produce and cheese here if you're willing to try something new. Speaking of produce, it's always beautiful here. I don't think I've ever seen an unappetizing leaf, fruit, or vegetable. I discovered this place after parking in front of it for the nearby library branch on the same day I listened to KEXP for the first time. I was prepping for an upcoming weekend excursion, and while I usually buy my groceries in the South Bay, closer to where I'm headed, I decided to change things up and get (mostly) everything in one fell swoop. I believe I got a prepackaged side dish that was delicious. And some fruits and carrots for the road ahead and the weekend beyond. I've returned a couple of times, and the people who work here have always been kind and helpful. It's a busy little place. Spend even a few minutes here, and you'll hear neighborhood acquaintances having friendly conversations about whatever. I got some really good cheese the last time I was here, after returning a book to the library. Are you sensing a theme?
