My first stop in was at 10:00pm on a weekday. After a long day of work and then a 3hr class, I had missed dinner. Crap. What can I find quick at this hour? The best sandwich I've had in a long time actually. I walk in and immediately notice the place is clean, really clean. All the ingredients were covered/ wrapped and looked good. The lettuce was not a shredded mess like most places. It was nice crisp Romane leaves. Really fresh. At 10:00 at night? Looked promising. Tasted better. First bite: *crunch* lettuce is crispy! They sell alcohol, snacks, and a variety of counter-served food like falafal balls, greek salad, etc. No mystery here - a liquor store mixed with a super mini deli. That being said, this is one of the most expensive liquor stores in the city for being so damn shitty. Fucking unbelievable, really. $2.99 coors light 24oz. $13 Guinness 4-packs. $18 Rogue sixers. It's practically bar prices to go. God only knows what their liquor or food prices are like - I strictly get road-tallboys (Roadboys?) for Fridays BART so I have no idea. By my observation, their business model is to feed on a steady diet of homeless alcoholics, vacationers, and other people with limited transportation options (in that order). I discovered long ago that there ain't much selection in the FiDi for beer stores, so they've got you as a captive market. I'd go elsewhere if I could but they've got me by the sober and curly's. Walk to 7-11 for smokes (often buy-one-get-one) and safeway underneath golden gateway for liquor. This is more of a wine shop than Liquor store. Id guess a couple hundred bottles of decent wines, some okay beers, and had the basic Liquors found at most other stores, albeit a little more expensive. You really won't find cheap booze here, as in inferior mass produced crap, but higher end stuff. No foo foo mixers or trendy Liqueurs here either. read more

Went to Oasis Grill a few doors down the day prior. Wasn't impressed. Decided to try the Deli instead. The falafel plate was a good deal. We also ordered the pastrami sandwich special in a wrap. This is a decent place for lunch. Nothing special but the made to order sandwiches are good and they put on a lot turkey....a lot more than Lee's. They also make a good chicken breast wrap. This place is a good option for lunch if you are in a hurry as there is hardly ever a line. read more

I work right across the street from Drumm Liquor and Deli. I always order the Triple Italian sandwich - a hearty compilation of 3 italian meats, cheese, jalepenos, lettuce, tomato, oil and vinegar. The line is never long and the service is always top notch - absolutely recommend it!! read more

love. being from new york city, it is hard to find a solid sandwich that isn't trying too hard. not to mention boars head cold cuts! i grabbed a sandwich from here to bring with me to the airport since i know it's better and cheaper than anything you can get in terminal 1 at SFO. i ordered a standard salsalito turkey sandwich on a sourdough roll with everything on it. the turkey was delicious, the toppings were fresh, and the sandwich was huge! all for under $7. i'm so happy this place is around the corner from my office because i will absolutely be coming back here regularly. read more

This is my go-to place for a quick lunch during the work day. The quality of the deli food is excellent -- I usually either get a plate of salad, chicken, and baba ganoush, or a half sandwich and cup of their delicious homemade lentil soup. It's much less expensive than most of the other Fi-Di options (lunch here is usually about $7), the food quality is better than any fast food joint, and the staff there are warm and welcoming. I walked in here thinking I had finally found a Jewish Deli in SF but nope, far from it. It's funny how places like these always have 'Greek' food and 'Jewish' food but don't really make either of these correctly. I asked for a Turkey Reuben since they had a poster of Reuben on their door and the girl at the counter asked me if I wanted a hard roll or a soft roll. Huh? I asked if they had Rye and she said No. No big deal, just gimme the soft one I said. I was skeptical so I asked if they use Russian dressing. She looked confused and asked if I wanted mayo, lettuce, and tomatoes. Huh? I said No, I would like a Reuben please. So she proceeded to put cold sauerkraut(yuck) on one half of the roll and russian dressing on the other half while the turkey breast microwaved. Then once it all smushed in there together she added a slice of Swiss cheese which I had requested a few minutes ago. Voila! A Turkey Reuben without the bread even toasted!! HAHAHHA WTF? I don't get upset these days, I just laugh. Why advertise Reubens when you don't know what a Reuben is. I hate it when people sell cuisines that don't belong to them but act like they are from that ethnicity! If you are going to represent food from another ethnic group, do it with some care and consideration. Don't just gyp us for our money! On a side note: They DO use Boar's Head meat and quality cheeses so if you stick to the standard menu items then it's not the worst place to grab a sandwich. read more

This places marks up even the cheapest wine by 2 or 3 or 4 times. For example, the pretty decent Menage a Trois Red which costs like $10 in other liquor stores costs a whopping $24 dollars here. I'm totally avoiding this place. read more

Watch the cashier and check your receipts! My 19 year old son was ripped off! He purchased 1 swisher sweet and was charged $110.89 on his ATM Visa debit card! After several calls to Drumm Liquor and promises to 1) get a return call from the owner and 2) to have a copy of the signed receipt emailed, nothing was ever done! Cashier "Alex" would not give me the owner's name so that I could speak to him directly, nor did I ever receive the emailed signed receipt. The last call I made Alex said maybe my son gave his card to someone else to use? HELLo? No check of id's? A dispute was filed with the bank and the bank returned the money promptly. However, you would think the owner would want to get to the bottom of which employees are ripping off customers....or perhaps this is just common practice! NO THANK YOU! read more

Popped in this place today and ordered a chicken salad sandwich on a dutch crunch roll. The lady behind the counter grabbed two freshly roasted chicken breasts and I stopped her thinking she misheard me. But then she smiled at me and proceeded to chop the fresh chicken up, chopped up some onions and fresh tomatoes, combined them all together with spices and a little mayo and I had the best chicken salad sandwich I have ever had, period. read more
