Candence was server that never let the wells run dry. She provided outstanding service making the experience pleasant. The General Manager Chad McKeen stopped by the table several times as well to check on us. We'd recommend coming here. That ambiance was lovely and modern with a dope bar. The food was great. We started off with the poke nachos and pork gyozas. I had the chimichuri ribeye with wasabi mashed potatoes that came with a flavorful miso and a salad with ginger dressing. My husband had the combination fried rice. Unfortunately we didn't have room for dessert so we'll definitely be back to have some. As far as drinks go, he just got a regular lemonade and I had a Mr. Miyagi. It was delicious. It consisted of vodka, blue curacao, melon liqueur, amaretto, lemon juice, pineapple juice, garnished with a cherry and orange. Great experience, great food, great fun. We'll definitely be back. Kisha was very professional and happy to accommodate our requests. My ahi nachos were unbelievable. Mango was an excellent and fresh addition. The wonton chips and ahi were impeccable. The food at Drunken Fish is AMAZING! Even if sushi is not your thing they have so many delicious contemporary Japanese inspired dishes that you cannot miss out on them. The Chilean sea bass is to die for! The colossal calamari roll is phenomenal and the lamb chops are AMAZING! The firecracker shrimp were dynamo, the noodles were great and PLEASE DON'T SKIP DESSERT! If you love matcha, that matcha tiramisu is outstanding! It is not very sweet, creamy and cool, just spectacular. And just as good, if not better is that one cheesecake! Service was great, kudos to the server. The food was not up to standards of the St Louis locations. Rolls are tiny and subpar. When you get that fishy smell on a fresh seafood roll it shouldn't be served raw. The worst part was the lettuce wraps had little bugs in them and the strawberry cheesecake desert had plastic wrap in it. In Edwardsville there are much better alternatives for sushi. Came in on Thursday and was impressed with how nice it was inside but no one was dining at all. A young lady walks up and asks if we have a reservation, it was empty. The vegetable tempura and edamame were great! The sushi was just ok. We had 3 different rolls. They were all small in regard to ingredients inside. I don't think the rice was sushi rice but just plain jasmine rice. The taste was just missing the mark somewhere. I would not suggest the sashimi. It wasn't cut with a sharp blade and just looked hacked like someone attempted to cut it multiple times and never got it. They were still connected to the slice next to it. The fish were mushy which is always unappealing. Even though we were the only table we still had to ask for more beverages. No one but the fry cook looked happy to be there. We went to Drunken Fish for lunch. The waitstaff is attentive and friendly and service was relatively quick. The techno music was so crazy loud though and we could hardly hear each other. It was a little much for lunchtime. The sushi was okay -- very expensive for what it was. Lots of shrimp tempura rolls with cream cheese.. would have liked to see more raw/fresh options and you can't order a custom roll. The miso soup could've been better, it was a little salty and could've used more dashi maybe; it lacked depth. That being said, the lobster egg rolls came highly recommended and at over 10 dollars we received one single egg roll cut I half that had no chunks of lobster nor any lobster flavor. Could have been an off day and I'd be willing to spend the 10 bucks if it had a lot of chunks of lobster. The kamakazi, fried Philly, and Superman were very good although still a bit steep price wise but I understand inflation. For 20 dollars we also ordered to tuna tataki. Unfortunately it was desperate for a sauce of any sort and tasted more like over done sirloin than tuna. A nice sizzle of ponzu would have done wonders! Overall, I think they just have some kinks to work out but I am optimistic on the future! read more

Service and management are horrendous. After we order 15 minutes in, the server says just letting you know it will be a long time for the food because we are backed up. We looked at each other, there were only two other tables in the place, like what. So a roll and a teriyaki bowl were over an hour. Food is way overpriced for what you get. The lighting in the place and decor seemed promising, but it wasn't a good experience. We won't go back, not just because the food or service, but because I don't think it will be open the next time I would consider it. And I saw all the otter poor reviews too. It's unfortunate. We could tell that this wasn't our vibe as the atmosphere is loud and crowded. None of us are sushi lovers (none of ordered any, either) so I'm not sure if it is fair of me to appraise the menu. It had limited meal choices outside of sushi. 4 with vegetables or shrimp fried in tempura breading and 2 types of fried rice. The food was average and the rice was really lacking in vegetables. We did enjoy the fried calamari appetizer. But the tempura shrimp that two of us ordered was so thickly breaded you couldn't tell the location of the tail until was is your mouth. The miso soup that came with 3 of our dinners was very off-putting - it tasted very fishy; as if sea water was the base for the broth. None of us ate more than a couple of spoonfuls. I'd advise passing on this item. I'm giving them 3 stars because, as stated at the beginning, we don't eat sushi which appears to comprise most of the menu offerings. read more

My stirfry was good but my mom got the chicken teriyaki and there wasn't any vegetables it was just a side of white rice, and a chicken breast with a little sauce, for $22 that was a lot. $12 for a small appetizer and $13 for a dessert.
