The high price they charged for alteration is not consistent with the quality of work. Mismatched thread color and on shoulder alteration, she said she could alter with same finishing but it was just sloppy stitch work. I would be happy to pay for quality however it was not. The lady who alters was arrogant and rude, she said why I go there if it was expensive so I was happy to walk away with my clothes! Hem is $25 and minor taking in is $28- who knows!! At this rate one could buy a brand new pairs of pants! No I wont be going there ever again! Off putting service was the ultimate! read more

I brought 14 Dress pant for dry Cleaning, 4 of the to be hemmed, I picked up after four days and paid $168.00 for the Job. After I got home I realized one of the Pants wasn't done. I brought to the Manager the next morning. She said to me I only asked her to work on three pants not four and I have to pay another $10. Its not about the money its all about principle. How on earth would work three pants that I have paid for, very expensive. I would never you use their services again. Very terrible experience. read more

Dry cleaning review only. I had a pea coat, blazer, and sweater dress dry cleaned. My sweater dress had a small sauce stain on the white collar. They put a "Stain!" warning on the dress. We were asked to pick it up on new years eve after 5:30 PM and before 7 PM. Turn around was 4 business days which is reasonable right before a holiday. 1) I arrived at the dry cleaning at 5:38 PM on 12/31. They were closed. Ok fine, it's new years eve, plans change and there may have been a miscommunication even though the receipt clearly stated 12/31 after 5:30 and store hours stated they closed at 7. I was annoyed, but understood. 2) I came 1/2/15 to pick up all the items. They acted surprised that they weren't open when I came to pick up a few days earlier. After my previous experience w/ dry cleaning, I knew it was important to examine the items prior to picking it up. The peacoat and blazer looked great! Only one small area they missed on the lining of the cuff. I took out the dress and there was no change. There was no lightening of the stain. She stated they had spot cleaned the collar, but it was washed with the darks so it is impossible to get the stain out. I implored to have her try again and she kindly insisted it was not going to change. Upon closer examination, I noticed that there was black dye from my sweater that stained the white collar which wasn't there before. When I pointed that out, she promptly decided to try again and asked me to return in 2 days. I paid for the coat and blazer. 3) A few days later, I came to pick up the dress. The stains on the collar were barely noticeable and the black dye stain they had caused was gone. I paid for the dress, thanked them for cleaning it again. In the end, we got what we wanted though it took a little prodding. This dry cleaning place is reasonable ($22 for the peacoat) to moderate ($17 for the sweater dress) in terms of pricing. The location is convenient (next to the mall in the same center as Ledo's) and can get a little hectic with parking. I would love to try them for the alterations, but feel uncomfortable in doing so after the experience with their dry cleaning. read more

I drive all the way down to this cleaner from Rockville because they are that good! My sweaters come out as soft as ever... Nothing is ever damaged. Just fabulous dry cleaning. Plus, they do top-notch alterations and repairs of garments. I brought my husband's down coat to them because it had a tear in the back. I couldn't imagine that anybody could fix it. I picked it up today and we could hardly find where the tear had been!!!! This is one of my very favorite businesses! read more

After a terrible experience at Fashion Craft Cleaners in Potomac Village this morning, I sadly made my way over to the little shopping center on Westlake Drive (near Montgomery Mall) in the hopes that there would be a dry cleaning/alterations store. Luckily, Dry Clean Plus was right there! From the moment I entered, I noticed just how much more organized this establishment was. It was clean, bright, and most importantly-- cheerful. The friendly woman at the front desk greeted me with a smile and asked what I would like to have done. I showed her my top that I needed altered, and she immediately called over the seamstress. The seamstress was very nice, and professional. I told her that all she needed to do was adjust a certain seam, but she insisted that I go and try it on so she could do a perfect job. While I was changing in the changing room, a few other women were busily and cheerfully working in the back organizing people's clothes and delicately covering them with protective bags for pickup-- chatting and laughing. The seamstress really is a perfectionist. This is where this place wins a million brownie points from me. After the first fitting, she insisted that she go ahead and take out the seam in question and make me try on the top a second time to ensure a proper fit. The cherry on top? They told me that there was no problem to have my alterations done by Thursday evening (today is Monday), and even gave me a specific time. And at a decent price. I really appreciate the level of service they provided. It is wonderful experiences like this that makes it even more important to come onto sites like Yelp so that we consumers don't have to waste our valuable time with anything less. Bravo! read more

Jeanne who does the alteration is the best! However, the dry cleaner does not take any responsibility when he ruins your expensive clothes! Also, the lady at the front desk is rude and irresponsive. They ruined my expensive Missoni jumpsuit which became 6 inches shorter after the cleaning and when I talked to her about it, she said ask for a refund from where you bought it!!!!!! I have been their client for over 15 years and God knows how much I have spent in that dry cleaner, but she did not take any responsibility for ruining my over $900 outfit! And Not even an apology! My neighborhood dry cleaners. Have been going here for about 6 years now. It's a tad pricey but it's the best work. In the 6 years of me going here, I have never encountered a problem. The staff here is quick at intaking your dry cleaning and always friendly. Parking here is a bit tight, and can be hectic during lunch hours. We used to go here regularly and I thought they were acceptable. However, I recently brought them an area rug to be cleaned and they destroyed it. I could accept that they made a mistake by not sending it to a specialist, but they would not admit to it and said that it was ruined prior to the cleaning (not true). Unfortunately, I didn't discover the damage before I paid for the cleaning. However, they did not offer to reimburse me for the cleaning or for the rug. NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE FOR YOUR TAILORING NEEDS. I brought in a dress that needed adjustments at the sleeves, was charged 28 dollars (which is far from reasonable, but I agreed because I really liked the dress), and when I took it home to try on, the sleeves were completely massacred and malformed. To tell you the truth, I'm not even sure what the seamstress did to the dress. I immediately went in to complain, and told them that the job was so bad that I deserved to get my money back (and besides, I wasn't going to trust that seamstress with my item a second time!). The owner did not even let me explain myself, and automatically took a defensive and accusatory tone, telling me that she wasn't responsible for the work of the seamstress and that I should "call her". Then she proceeded to tell me that I was "very strange" and that the seamstress had warned me that the job couldn't be done (why would I agree to have it done in the first place if she would have told me this?). To top it off, she didn't even have the courtesy of coming to speak to me face to face, and instead, sat by her desk, rudely browsing through her computer. I paid 100 dollars worth of tailoring in total, and that is the treatment I got. This place is a complete embarrassment and I'm in shock that they are still in business. read more

I've been to Dry Clean plus on 2 occasions. Both times were to have Bridesmaid's gowns altered for weddings. The 1st time I went, everything went smoothly so naturally I decided to go back to them once more for my sister's wedding. In which I was the Maid of Honor. I dropped off the dress to be taken out and hemmed and to be dry cleaned. I go back to pick up my dress and upon my arrival I present them with the ticket number, only for the woman to tell me "oh there was a problem with this dress", which was Strike 1 for me. If there is/was a problem, I would've expected to receive a phone call telling me that they've encountered an issue. This did not happen. She brings out the dress and there are stains ALL over the top portion of the dress and various areas look faded, along with some parts of the mid section. The top portion of the dress had pleats that criss crossed over one another. Now apparently the person who made the gowns had used glue on the pleats as opposed to sewing it down. This isn't the dry cleaner's fault and I do NOT blame them for this (trust me the dressmaker is aware of the issues gluing the pleats down has caused and is actually rushing to remake the dress in time for the wedding.) My issue with the dry cleaners is that as a professional service, it is your job to inspect the dress and let me know what can/can't be done. (They did this with the jeweled belt attached on the front, letting me know they'd have to remove and reapply it so that it wouldn't be damaged), Also, I received NO apology whatsoever, there was no remorse and they were very unhelpful in trying to come up with reasonable solutions to attempt to salvage the dress. Granted, it shouldn't have been glued but I feel like as someone providing me with a service and me having to pay almost as much as it cost for the dress for you to alter it and clean it, some sort of empathy should have been shown for the role they played in the dress turning out the way it did. After the dress was damaged they STILL expected me to pay a balance, which was appalling to me. They didn't even offer to refund the deposit. Not a great experience for me and this is of course my last time going there. read more

Do not use this cleaners. I was a customer at this dry cleaners for almost three years and gave them a ton or regular business. I went in at least once or twice per week for dry cleaning and laundry. This summer I took a duvet cover to be cleaned which they ruined. I paid $400 for the king size duvet. I had taken it once before a few years earlier it is was fine - this time when I took it there were spots all over the cover. They claimed it was manufacturer error and that the color bled, however, that does not explain why the first time it was okay and this time it was completely ruined. They tried to clean it again a few times and obviously it was never better. It was still totally ruined. When I went to the store to complain they told me that I had to call the manufacturer and complain. They would not pay for ruining my duvet. I called the company I bought it from and they could not do anything for me. When I went back to the cleaners again they still refused to do anything to make up for ruining my duvet cover. I asked for them to pay for it - they said no. I asked for some of the money back - they said no. The only thing they gave me was a $100 credit for dry cleaning!!!! I went back to the cleaners to complain at least four times and all they gave me was a $100 credit to have more clothes ruined at the cleaners. Seriously - if this is how they treat a loyal customer of three years then I am never going back. I will never take anything again - the customer service is awful. read more
