I have a metal roof and gutters with gutter guards. They company that used to do an excellent job on my roof (I'll call them "JB") is a janitorial firm that appears to no longer do roofs. I called AA based on reviews and explained that my roof was quite dirty with pollen and was clear with them it was metal. They said they would come and blow the roof off and see what else could be done. They did NOT come right out and say they could not clean up pollen. They quoted me a price lower than the previous company had been charging, so I scheduled the work about three weeks out. The tech came out late in the afternoon, spent a LOT of time looking around and talking to the office and then told me that they could only blow debris off. To do a wash would take two people a full day and cost around $2,000. Sorry, that's NOT going to happen! I said go ahead and blow the roof off, there was plenty of Douglas fir cones and other debris that needed to come off anyway. The work was fine for what it was, though there's still a mess of pollen up there. I would have preferred that they just say "we don't clean metal roofs because you won't be happy with the results."

We talked to different local roofing companies to resolve this and most of them seemed to just offer a simple patch without really knowing what was causing the leak. Dr. Roof was honest up front about the extent of the damage so we went with a full reroof on the front side of our house. You never know what is underneath until you rip it off. The damage was much more extensive then the other companies were claiming and if we did not go with Dr. Roof's suggestion, we would have still had an issue but just threw $1000's down the drain. So, their assessment was spot on with the issue. Now, the work. Their team was so professional and great to work with. I highly recommend them! They showed up on time, did the work and cleaned up afterwards. They also provided a lot of great photos of the damage to aid us with our insurance claim. We had some issues at the end of the project and they came out and resolved everything to exceed my expectations. It's hard to trust companies nowadays but our experience with Dr. Roof sets a standard for how I hope other home repair shops will meet. I recommend them to my friends.

Then there's no follow up. So you go by in person and no one calls you back. The first inept guy calls you back. Then after almost a year, a new sales guy is hired and he tries to make amends by giving you a new estimate. Nope. The first impression is always the one that last forever. Talk to others, neighbors and chat with people at the post office- there's a lot of unhappy customers around who will tell you "Dr. Roof is really expensive". Me, I will not hire them. First impressions and customer's stories are plenty for me.

They were friendly, too! I highly recommend them and I will certainly be giving them my business in the future. I hired them to do roof cleaning, gutter cleaning and moss-prevention treatment. And to me, the price was fair and affordable. Again, I'm a new homeowner and this was the first time I ever had to do this... so even if what I paid was too much (I wouldn't know), I don't care because their stellar customer alone was worth every penny. Thanks, Moss Busters! I'll see you again in September!

When they finished the job, I could see only very tiny moss on my roof, but it was very very small. That's what sold me on them. You get immediate results after the cleaning rather than having to wait on the moss inhibitor powder from kicking months down the road. Having said that their prices were in line with 3 of 4 quotes I had gotten and I was able to call someone on the phone and ask several questions that they did a great job answering. The only issue I had was that they had to come back to my house two more times to get the job done right. The first time they had a miscommunication with my gutters that was stated in my quote but wasn't done, so they came back and did it. I managed to catch them where they weren't that far away. The second time, was because I requested it because they missed washing a gutter and the ends of my gutter on my dormer were not quite clean. I took pics and sent it to them for proof. They did call me back the next day and apologized and had someone come over in the afternoon to clean the missed gutters and double check all gutters. They did clean all the debris quite well, in fact it looked better than when they started. I really appreciated that. Roof looks great, gutters look great and I'm satisfied, however I was told I would get before and after pics and it's been a few days so far and I have not gotten any pics. I would use them again but definitely recommend double checking their work to make sure nothing was missed.
