What a fun annual events for all ages!…read more There is free parking in the nearby lot if you get their early or you can park in the neighborhoods and walk into the park. There is also paid parking ($13) that you have to pre-pay online. Follow the signs for "PRE-PAY" and scan the QR code with the person at the gate. Paying for parking was the way to go, it was a short walk into the event when some of my family members had to park far into the neighborhoods. There are some chicken themed vendors and a few chicken dishes can be found at the food trucks. We witnessed a chicken call contest on stage where the person with the best chicken cluck got a gift card for $25! There seemed to be some chicken themed activities for the kids as well. Country music and hay bales as seats. 2 Beer/Wine gardens to ease you from the heat. I bought a load of jalapeno cheese bread from the cutest bakery vendor. We brought our camp chairs and set up under the shade to hear the music and check out the vendors. Beer tickets were $7 and there was a pretty good variety. Fun time!

First time attending the festival, my 2 year old granddaughter and I went and had a blast. We walked around the different vendors, received some free items including a cool chicken hat, little chicken squish toys which she loved, and we learned a few things from the vendors. Had a Mango sorbert and Pink Lemonade from one of the food trucks that was the best I have ever had. Yum! Prices were good for the large size of the items. Parking wasn't too bad, we found some at a nearby business who offered their lot to festival patrons and didn't have to walk to far. There was lots of security walking around the festival, which made you feel safe. My granddaughter had so much fun coloring on the Kids Color Board, bouncing in the bounce houses and playing the mini carnival games. We will definitely will be back next year.

I got my ticket for the wrong day, 29th, not 31st, and they were so kind to let me in still!!! I almost cried when I realized I ordered the wrong ticket. The staff is amazing and kind. All the people in staff coats were welcoming. The whole community is kinda like that. I hit up all the stages, and the back stage with the square lights was my favorite, for edm music. The tent was also cool. Main stage was too main line music for my taste. The food, go to the pizza place. That's the best place there. They really understand the culture and are the kindest, tastiest food place!! Other things to note, battery pack for cell phones, also you won't have service due to how many people are there. Battery pack is needed for photos! I missed pics of the rainbow igloo! Everything's paid credit card, and you can check in and out with your wristband by tapping on the screen at the exit. I highly recommend this place!

NO HEATERS !!!! no on-site meet and greet with artists, no daily food tasting of on-site vendors, only VIP amenity we got was access to was VIP bathrooms and the bar after 7pm..which wasn't anything big since bathrooms and bars around the venue were pretty clear since attendees on day 1 were very limited. Day 2: express VIP enterance did not exist. GA line covered entire enterance making it difficult to go through. There was no security and no snowglobe employee to delegate the chaos. outside heaters installed but indoor heaters were not installed until after 7pm offered food tasting but not from on-site vendor. served plain Mac and cheese and some sort of sweet potato dish with corn flakes. I didn't see any vendors offering these items on the first or second day of the festival. it was pretty gross. no meet and greet with artist still feeling ripped off from day 1 and day 2. Day 3: arrived late to avoid lines to enterance heaters inside finally installed and working, however outdoor heaters failing - need more fuel and no one refilled them for entire day. snowglobe attempt to compensate horrible experience with fanny pack survival kit. it looked cool but I personally didn't need a fanny pack or anything inside of it (since I brought my own lighter, chap stick, tissues, gloves, etc. with me already. all I really wanted were the things I was promised when purchasing a VIP ticket! I am a veteran music festival attendee, and I've never experience such a disorganized and terrible lack of planning. I seriously want my money back! this is not okay.

If you go early enough there are plenty of spaces for street parking. There weren't too many people there. I think this is more of an event for the locals. There were plenty of strawberry based foods that included tamales, pizza, salsa, beer, etc., but none of them really appealed to me. I ordered the chicken teriyaki- $6. It was quite big and flavorful. This was probably one of the most popular items there since it had the longest line. I also ordered the strawberry puppies (hushpuppies) for the sake of getting something strawberry related- $2. It was ok but I don't understand why the Hershey's chocolate sauce that was used to dip the strawberry puppies into was so watery. Of course they also sold plain old strawberries. They were some of the best strawberries I ever had. My friend even bought a box of them.

Wish they did have a to-do container though to put these in. Plenty of vendors and contests. I do wish they would have more strawberry based vendors. They did have a lot of cool vendors like honey and BBQ sauce vendors. The variety of organic seasonings and tea was pretty awesome. Though pricey at $5 for 2oz spices and $7 for 2 oz teas. We used an Entertainment coupon, so we only paid $10 for admission. Otherwise, it would have been $20. I definitely would not pay full price for this event. We were in and out in an hour. There isn't THAT much to see warranting the price. Plenty of these are far cheaper or free to attend. I can understand the state and county fair for $10-12 each, but not the Berry Fest. There's more festivities geared towards kids, which a lot of us childless people don't utilize. Plus it costs money for parking as well. ($5 according to another review) We always park further and walk. So I am minusing a star for the entrance and parking fees. Prices are also not all that clear on the site. I had to hunt around and only found the pre-order fee of $9 and it's $10 at the entrance.

Everyone is dressed up in character which really helps make you feel immersed. There are loads of actors and performers all around the place, and tons and tons of shopping to be done. We saw the archery show which was....ok. It was cool to see them competing with each other, but it was literally impossible to tell which arrow belonged to who. My suggestion would be to attack a big colorful string or change the color of the arrows to match each contestant. We were left confused as to who was winning the entire time because of it. Nobody was mic'd either so it really was silent in terms of the arena. Next we saw the jousting show which was really fun. Tons of theatrics, horses, fighting, and crowd work! That was a good time. Then we went to walk around and catch some of the smaller shows. The majority of this Faire was just vendors selling things. I love events like the Oddities and Curiosities Expo which bring in tons of vendors showing off stuff I literally have never seen before, and I have a huge impulsive feeling to buy. I didn't get that once at this faire. Sure there was some cool stuff but it really wasn't anything that I felt like I needed to buy. Some soaps, crystals, swords, books, and disgustingly a stall selling AI artwork. Some vendors really did have some cool stuff like handmade clothing that was too far out of my budget, but I would love if I were rich. Lines were insanely long so we didn't eat or drink anything here, but it looked ok in terms of food. I just wish there were some unique vendors here or other things to do like games and events that you can partake in. Overall it's not a place you're going to spend the entire day at, but it's fun to kill a couple of hours in costume. We'll most likely be back next year, I just wish it was a bit more "wow" like others I've seen.

They have some that are particular to Amador County and sets them apart from its neighboring counties fairs. The fair grounds is mostly on packed dirt including the parking lot. I attended on the last day of the fair. I did not know until I got there that it was was Demolition Derby night. I didn't stay to watch that but definitely bookmarked for next time. I'm a history nerd, so I did go to all the live demos and displays even though I was nearly going to pass out from heat exhaustion. I had to duck into the various air conditioned buildings to cool down. Since the Spazmatics played on a Friday night, we had to go after work. Omg this event is huge in such a small town and small space. Of course the fair parking lots were full. Just like everyone else we had to drive around and try to find a parking spot some where in town. No clear signs letting us know parking was full until arriving at the lot a person standing near the entrance told us it was full. Then walking back to the fair after we found parking. There were no signs letting everyone walking back up know where an entrance was. Everyone working the fair at the gates and different food vendors were very nice. Seemed like a very welcoming fair. We saw people bringing in their own ice chests. Didn't see anyone getting bag checked. We tried corn dog, steak sandwich, soda cream, deep fried Oreo's! Yummy fair food! Had enough restrooms and easy to find. I saw many drink booths. The Spazmatics of course brought the crowd like they usually do. Just wish more Security was around the stage area. At one point someone jumped up on stage. Security finally showed up about 15 minutes later. By then the man finally got off of the stage. But almost fell trying to get off. The little fencing they had around the base of the stage lighting. Was so dangerous it was plastic and bendable metal rods holding it up on the four corners. We watched a lady fall right onto the metal rods and bend them back. Someone helped her up. I checked to see if she was OK. I was able to bend the rod back into place. But the crowd came back and everyone was holding onto the flimsy rods and knocking over the plastic fencing. No one cut anyone off when ordering alcoholic beverages it showed at the end of the night..this was only around 9:30 pm. We had to cut the night sort to walk back to our car a little after 10 pm. About a 20 minutes walk through a neighborhood. If we go back to this fair I guess we need to arrive very early and make a day of it.

I've never attended the location at the Cal Expo but the location in Auburn was a beautiful park-like venue with lots of greenery outside in the open air. It was a nice place to hold the event. The weather was sunny and in the low 80's. Perfect weekend for ending the summer! Folks were out in their lawn chairs just enjoying the day. There was no shortage of entertainment (live native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander), fun workshops, Aloha merchandise, and delicious Polynesian food!!! There were resource vendor booths, educational exhibits, and an arts and crafts Keiki Korner, and lots more. Restrooms were nearby and the grounds was wheelchair accessible. We attended to watch my boss's little keiki participate on stage with the KŪHAI HĀLAU O KANOHEAOKALIKOLAUA'E PĀ 'ŌLAPA KAHIKO dance group led by Kumu Hula, Nohea Macugay. We also participated (attempted) at the Tahitian Workshop with the VAIPUNA NO TE HERE dance group led by Director, Stephanie Manuel. My daughter belongs in the dance group and was part of the workshop. -whew- what a workout. Also, saw my favorite band, Island Sunset Band, on stage.
