I hate to give a small business & this seemed to be a very small and poorly run business a bad review but now having had the situation at our vacation home finally handled properly I see just how untruthful and predatory they are to people in an emergency situation especially during a national pandemic. They were extremely rude to our caretaker talking down to a woman who speaks multiple languages and is a truly kind soul and insisting that drywall and flooring would need to be removed for a bathroom leak claiming that it was fine since they would just bill our insurance which they seemed very happy to see was good. Things seemed off when my spouse talked to them and they treated him much better and with far more respect. It was rather sad listening to him brag that he has a million dollar business while in a vacay home worth more than that. We went with our gut to not deal with them further even though it meant waiting until this year to fully repair things and that's when I found out how untruthful and unethical they were in their survey which while it would have cost us nothing to fix could be considered gross maleficence by an insurance company since so much of what they said we needed to do was not needed. read more

I called them in an emergency water leak situation, and after pointing their water sensor around vaguely, said basically my entire kitchen and bathroom will have to be demolished. This terrified us, and made an already stressful situation a hundred times worse. As it turned out, none of that was remotely necessary. The water was localized to one small area in the kitchen ceiling, requiring nothing more than a sheet rock patch. Fortunately we got suspicious before they did any work, and fired them. However, since they had left a couple of dehumidifiers in the house (one of which malfunctioned and nearly caused water damage to our hardwood floor), they tried billing us for $4,500. Without any estimate for work, without any authorization whatsoever, and they also charged for the initial visit, which the technician specifically told us was free. The contact person was also extremely rude and confrontational. We told them to bill our insurance directly (i.e. go through the proper procedure instead of trying to bully us into paying them). I cannot stress enough that if we hadn't stopped them, they would have destroyed an entire bathroom and kitchen, caused us months of hardship and expense, and cheated our insurance company out of thousands and thousands of dollars. All of which would have been absolutely unnecessary. Nothing more than a greedy money grab. This company should be investigated for predatory business practices at the very least. March 22" about 1400sq ft of basement flooded twice within a 10 day period from a broken pipe in the ceiling. Dry Pros came out to take moisture readings and give a generalized idea of what to expect next. Shane was one of the three that came over. I usually do not judge based off a first impression, however, given the months following...I should have gone with my gut instinct on the first impression. It was due to Dry Pros "mislabeling" of rooms on their sketch submitted to HO, in addition to their misrepresentation of each rooms functionality that lead my Home Owners denial of reimbursement of a rental property. According to Dry Pros misrepresentation, only one bedroom was affected, when in actuality it was three. This error was brought to Dry Pros attention immediately in hopes that it could be rectified and I may finally submit over $9k of rental reimbursement to HO. Instead of a mature, constructive conversation, I was met with nothing less than hostility from "Shane the owner." This led to an onslaught of berating messages from "Shane the owner" toward myself and my family. Shane called my accusations against his sketch, as insurance fraud and to pay him immediately or he'll bring my "husband and I to court as this isn't his first rodeo." It took weeks of desperately trying to explain why the mislabeling & misrepresentation of functionality was such a big deal before Dry Pros "relabeled" rooms. Not to be left unmentioned, "Shane the owner" felt the need to reiterate they are a "millionaire dollar company and know what they are doing." To describe Shane would not be giving a true depiction of this tool. I have never met a more pompous, ignorant, roided out "business owner" in all of my life. Shane is the proud owner of a company that threatens "CPS with pictures" of your home in disarray from the very disaster that you hired their team to clean & manage. Does this make sense to you? Is this a company you'd invite into your home? I live in a home valued over $1.2 mil on over 1.25 acres, and I need to worry my mitigation company is going to call CPS? Even after multiple conversations pertaining to the debacle with HO reimbursement (I floated $9k out of my checking) I was still met with hostility and notice of delinquency on mitigation payment. Work on the home was completed June 6, 22" & collections was being threatened 3 days later. My best advice for anyone looking for a mitigation company is steer clear of Dry Pros. Immature, arrogant, threatens & belittles clients. DO NOT USE! I almost forgot to mention that my own building materials were left outside & now unusable. I was offered to take $250 off of the outstanding balance....this may be 1/4 of worth. read more

I didn't have a problem with DryPros work but I still rated them at the bottom. They got in a pissing match with my insurance company over added remediation costs so they took the easy route. I just received a notice of lien on my property. I would not and will not recommend DryPros to anyone! read more

If you want a better understand the term "adding insult to injury," this is the company to deal with. Not only will they not get the job done, but they will still want to charge you full price. Even if you agree to pay a portion of the charge because they didn't do things satisfactorily, (and you had to hire someone else who did get it done, therefore paying twice,) they will then threaten to put a lien against your house. They will also respond to your inquiries with very insulting emails. Nothing was dried and they are anything but "Pros." I would give them a zero rating if that was available. They don't get anything done ..they promise that come over but took so long my husband call them so many time ..so my husband get mad tell them to get their stuff home...and they keeps bothering us..put many advertisements paper around our house they are ridiculous..terrible people..do not call them for service read more

I would never recommend Dry Pro to anyone and here is why. On Fri., Nov. 20, 2020, we were having a shower installed in our upstairs master bathroom. A valve malfunction caused a flood that caused water damage in our downstairs living space. The shower installer said he had a restoration company he had used and would call them right away to start taking care of the damage. Two employees with Dry Pro arrived and cut up our 1 1/2-year-old carpet beyond repair, threw out roughly 25 square feet of laminate flooring (which was no longer available) without asking us if we wanted to try and dry it out, and threw out two shower curtains we had grabbed to help keep the water off the carpet. They hooked up equipment downstairs and in the upstairs bathroom and said they would be back at 8 a.m. on Monday, the 23rd to meet with the shower installer to take moisture readings so he could continue with the project. By 10 a.m. on the 23rd, Dry Pro was still not at our house. We called their office to be told they were almost at our house. At 11 a.m., Shane from Dry Pro called to say they were scheduled to be at our house and that they would be there by 11:30, was that okay? I told him no it wasn't since they were supposed to be at the house at 8. Instead of being apologetic and hustling to my house, he told me I clearly didn't understand how traffic and automobiles worked. He then went on to inform me he was the owner of the company. He repeated this information 6 more times. He finally made it to our house where upon doing moisture readings, found more water damage. When we asked why it wasn't found on the 20th, his response was that he owned the company, and the two employees that came out were new and still being trained. I asked him why he didn't come out and supervise his employees if they were still being trained, but never got an answer. He then said someone would be out on the 25th to take another moisture reading. We insisted it be him and that we expected him at 9 a.m. More babble ensued until he finally confirmed. On the 25th, still more water damage was found. When I asked why it wasn't found earlier, he said no one told him where the upstairs bathroom was in regard to the downstairs. In other words, I have no idea what I am doing or how to find water damage. Six days into the initial accident and due to Dry Pro's incompetence, it's getting worse. More drywall was removed, more holes were put in our home to dry out the area and more babble from the owner. He assured us he would be out on the 27th to take another moisture reading. We never saw Shane again. His 2 employees arrived on Fri, 11/27. Watching them left us shaking our heads. They were blowing into the end of the meters to get them to work, not probing the affected areas and having us tell them where to take the readings. They assured us it was all dry and the shower installer could go to work. Because of Dry Pro's absolute debacle of the whole situation, we had to have significant drywall repaired, a bunch of flooring replaced (which no longer matches what is throughout the house), and endless hours of people in and out of our home during Thanksgiving week and through the weekend before Christmas. December 19th was when it was finally all put back together. We have spent countless hours trying to get reimbursement for our shower curtains as Shane promised, but Shane never returned our calls or emails. He finally mailed a check when we said we were prepared to take him to small claims court. We also have proof that when he billed the shower company (who was paying for the damage), Dry Pro charged $1,000 for drying an area of our house that doesn't exist. We let the shower company know immediately of this discrepancy. We saw that Dry Pro's ad on Thumbtack says they wear masks, gloves, and disinfect everything they touch. Big lie! They did none of that. Not once. Is this really someone you would want in your home taking care of a problem? Based on our interaction with Shane and his company, Dry Pro, there are not enough words to describe how horrific they are to deal with. If you hire Dry Pro, watch out for incompetence, for being incorrectly charged, and for being spoken down to. read more

After reading the only other review, I felt I had to share my experience, as well. These guys came out to fix our AC/furnace unit that was leaking. The workers were extremely knowledgeable, explained exactly what the problem was, fixed it, and it was all around a very pleasant experience. I would recommend them to others and call them again if we need any future work done. read more

Absolutely the worst restoration company I have encountered. The workers lied to me about what they were doing and never called ahead when coming to do the work. In addition they took days off in the middle of the week leaving me without a place to go while the home was being worked on. I am absolutely disgusted by this company and the animosity they have caused in my life. Stay away from this company at all costs, it's not worth it and being lied to straight faced makes me worry significantly about what they are doing in my home. read more
