I've been a loyal Drybar customer for years and typically come in at least once a week, often twice a week. Unfortunately, my experience has become increasingly frustrating due to inconsistent service and customer care. One of the main reasons I continued coming back was because I was allowed to bring my own curling iron, which gave me the exact style I wanted and helped ensure consistency between visits. [[HIGHLIGHT]]After doing this for quite some time without any issues, I was suddenly told I could no longer use my own curling iron. The change was communicated without much explanation, and the way it was handled left me feeling like my loyalty as a long-time customer didn't matter.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Beyond that, the quality of the blowouts has been very inconsistent. Some visits are great, while others leave me feeling like I wasted both my time and money. When you're paying for a professional service on a regular basis, you expect a consistent experience. [[HIGHLIGHT]]As someone who spends a significant amount of money here every month and has been a dedicated customer, I expected better communication and customer service.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I truly want to continue supporting Drybar, but the inconsistency and lack of consideration for loyal customers have been disappointing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I have cancelled my membership and will not be returning after today. read more

A little background for context: the week before, I accidentally missed an appointment because I selected the wrong date in the app. Drybar charged me the $65 missed appointment fee. Even though I felt the app was a bit confusing and couldn't prove it, I accepted responsibility because I should have double-checked my confirmation email. I paid the fee without arguing because it was ultimately my mistake. Now, fast forward to today. I arrived 10 minutes before my scheduled appointment. The employee who checked me in seemed concerned about timing but never mentioned that they were running behind. After waiting 15 minutes past my appointment time, I was told they could offer me a complimentary add-on and that it would only be another five minutes. Since I had already waited, I agreed. Once it reached the 20-minute mark, I looked around and could clearly see that every stylist still had a long way to go with their current clients. It was obvious it wasn't going to be "just five more minutes," so I decided to leave. Unfortunately, this isn't the first time this has happened. In fact, they're frequently running behind. I visit Drybar two to three times a month, and while I'm usually flexible, today I had other commitments. It made me think about how quickly they charge customers for being late or missing an appointment, yet there's no accountability when they waste a customer's time. If they cancel appointments after you're more than five minutes late, why shouldn't customers receive some form of compensation when the salon is 20-30 minutes behind? As soon as I use my remaining blowouts, I'll be canceling my membership. The service from the stylists themselves is great they do a decent job. My frustration is with the lack of communication and professionalism from management. If appointments are running 30 minutes behind, simply tell customers upfront and give them the option to wait or reschedule. Respecting your customers' time should be just as important as expecting them to respect yours. I can't recommend this location. The stylists are talented, but the repeated delays and poor communication make it far less convenient than it's supposed to be. This entire situation could have been avoided if the receptionist had simply been paying attention to the schedule and communicated with me. A quick phone call saying, "Your stylist is running about 30 minutes behind. Would you be able to come in at 4:30 instead?" would have saved everyone time and prevented the frustration altogether. read more

This undermines the purpose of scheduling in advance and suggests potential understaffing or challenges in managing appointments effectively. These delays make daily planning difficult. I noticed a customer who arrived after me being seen before me, despite me having an appointment. When I inquired at the front desk about the additional wait time, I was informed that someone was on a break; however, that individual returned shortly after ( didn't care to apologize, yay professionals, am I right?), which left me confused about the facility's operations. Now that I think about it, I had the same experience the previous time. The stylist car broke down or was in a collision, which led her to run late. Something didn't add up. But whatever. I waited for 35-40 mins. The stylist didn't bother to apologize. What irks me is that they didn't just use another available stylist to cover the difference. The service itself is subpar. $40 for dry styling excluding tip is pricey for the quality of the output. The stylist seemed so dull and unenthusiastic that made my experience feel like I was bothering her. She put so much hair spray that my hair felt like stone. Will I come back? Probably not. Ever since I've been going here it's been so great with their accommodations and help on my inquiries as well as the single services. My first visit was with Geneva and I did advise her I had to leave by a certain time and she delivered and overachieved my expectation and sensitive timing (which was less than 45 minutes). She was professional and quick to do what she needed to do. Another service I got done was with Brittany and this was with my flexible and open timing for me. I did advise i typically wash with cold water and she did an excellent job not only on accommodating that but thoroughly scratched my scalp, massaged me, and confirmed if I felt clean. I advised her I wasn't going to wash my hair that night and to curly it in a way where it would last until the following day and boy did she delivered! Ever the following day after that the hair was still soft and simple wave towards the bottom! I love everything here and everyone is super nice and accommodating! Update: Danielle reached out initially offering a redo. However, I told her that the receptionist yesterday told me she was going to comp my services. She reached out to the manager and refunded me in a very timely manner. I appreciate that this has been handled swiftly and not dragging on any longer. I just hope that in the future, issues can be resolved while in the shop rather than a day after the incident. I made and confirmed the appointment weeks ago. We arrived 15 minutes early only to be seen 10 minutes past our appointment time even though the notice at the shop and email stated how strict it is to arrive on time and if we are 5-10 minutes late, our appointment would be changed to a dry style or canceled if we're later than 10 minutes. Once we got called in, we then found out that one of our appointment got moved to 4pm without any prior change notice and unfortunately there was no stylist available. That is unacceptable as we had a photoshoot at 5pm. Ultimately, my daughter did not get her hair washed and we had to rush through the whole process since we started late as well. I was in a rush to make it to my photoshoot after so I did not get to review my charges. I was charged an adult dry style for my daughter even though I had booked her a Shirley temple which is cheaper and should include a hair wash. I also did not get a complete hair wash. What was supposed to be mommy and me bonding and relaxing time became stressful and unenjoyable. The entire process felt rushed and unapologetic. The staff at the checkout desk said she was texting the manager to comp my services and that they will reach out but I have not yet received anything. Visited Drybar for the first time. I've been to blow out bars before but this was FOR SURE THE BEST! A bit more expensive but worth it! I made an appt to go on my lunch. Scheduling was very easy online. I arrived on time and had to wait less than 5-7 minutes for Lizzy to come take me to a chair. It was my first time At dry bar so she gave me book to look through for styles... then took me back to wash. The wash was great, the blow out was great! The location is great, easy parking and not that busy of a shopping center. The location is medium size but never too crowded. I had booked a blowout appointment with Drybar back in November to have my hair done for a family photo shoot that I had scheduled the same day and unfortunately had a terrible experience and my hair was not ready to be photographed at all. I called Drybar to report this and they put me in contact with their customer service to remedy the experience and Nathalie Shifferly was an amazing help. She rescheduled me for an appointment on Christmas Eve with one of their top stylists Loren and I had an incredible experience the second time around. It was so nice to have a stylist who checked in on my needs constantly and made sure that I had the best experience possible.
