Ask for Moe! This was my first time at this salon and it has such a fun vibe. Moe washed, trimmed, moisturized, and diffused my hair for $60 and she did a fantastic job! Very reasonable price. This was my first time at S & S, and my hairdresser was Carmen. When I first walked in I was greeted by a friendly receptionist who offered water, coffee or snacks. I requested a cut and balayage before my upcoming Mediterranean cruise, and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out! Carmen was very knowledgeable and helped me realize that I've been using the wrong kind of shampoo. For so long I've been using a moisturizing shampoo, which made my hair more flat and oily, when I should be using more of a volumizing shampoo. She had so many useful tidbits of information that I know I'll be implementing in my hair routine! I ended up purchasing the shampoo and volumizing spray that Carmen used during the appointment. I have had two different stylists over the past four years at S&S Salon and Spa. Both stylists gave me good cuts. I will not return there, however, as the most recent stylist I had was rude. I have an injured leg and the injury happened during the time frame that she was cutting my hair. It did not happen at the hair salon. I went from a normal gait when I first met her to using a cane. Last time she styled my hair earlier in the year, she asked me if I had considered that my weight was the reason for my bad leg. I am quite aware I am carrying a little bit of extra weight, and I did not need nor appreciate her input on my body or injury cause. Her remark left me speechless and barely able to respond. A hair styling appointment should feel uplifting, not disheartening and degrading. I will not be returning to the salon. I am not stating the stylist's name so as not to embarrass her. I do believe, however, that the owner should be aware of this inappropriate remark made to a long time customer at her salon by one of her stylists. read more

I came across this spot through Yelp and decided to book a same day appointment. I booked with Moe at 1:30, but I came early during her lunch.
